Looks like mediocrity is the order of the day for us this season. Can't seem to make the jump to the top half, although getting six All Stars clearly says we have some players.

That and a 7-22 record against Valdosta, you have a winning record against everyone else.

Colorado and Compton are deadlocked in the RL race, with Boston holding on to a lead that's not all that strong down the stretch.

In the CL, Montreal is within 3.5 games of the Continental Cup lead and Atlanta is out 9.5 games with the season winding down.

Three at MTL, followed by four at home vs BKN. I guess I will have an impact on the playoff chase after all.

I am hoping to win at least one more game to end the season. That makes five in a row, with three to go. I would apologize to MTL for sucking, but they just swept me.

Congrats to all the playoff teams! Good luck.

BTW, DC didn't help me out here by not showing the final games, but if my math is right, I did indeed get swept by Brooklyn as well and finished the season on eight game losing streak.

I hate this thing sometimes. Ugh. Back to the drawing board.

Sorry Chief, looks like we put you on an 8 game skid to end the season, but your team probably would be good enough for top two in the RL

Will Compton make the Classic for the first time since the original Brothers back in 1970?

Will the Boston Settlers make the Classic for the first time ever?

Maybe we'll get a rematch of the 1969 Classic, one of the greatest of all-time Compton v. Brooklyn.

Or perhaps Valdosta will head to the Classic for the 17th time, for a shot at the franchise's 8th championship in FOOL history

GL to the RL playoff teams (You'll need it); to Alan, we will put up a fight for the title. Overall, it was good to have a full slate of owners for the season again.

True enough. Although I know there's enough talent on the team to win the CL. So to do so poorly and not even compete is annoying. I see this a lot with my teams. I have no doubt that when I take a look at my team, I will see across the board underachieving, except from perhaps two or three players. I have seen this happen as much as 6 or 7 times since joining FOOL. I have not yet figured out why it happens. That's what makes it extremely frustrating--not knowing why means I don't know how to fix it.

Well, yeah, it is painful, but it was a tight race, and my games mattered to Montreal and Commo. I would have not liked it, but I would recognize it needs to be shown, at the very least for the drama of it all.

I am sure you will. Should be a good series and I am looking forward to it!

Good luck to Boston over in the RL, rooting for you to break the curse. Also congrats to Compton for their first playoffs under new management.

I see Boston got an early jump on the playoffs by dropping some games to New York and Detroit to take the wildcard rather than the Division.

Nice to see Rodriguez, Bonilla, and Parker take a step up and grab All-Star bids as some of my veterans are starting the downslopes of their career.

Wolverines closed strong, 8-2. Improved 12 wins over whatever was going on last year (AI?). Not bad, for one night's work. The Moran signing was pretty effective, as he hit .352.

Congrats to the playoff teams. The ones in the RL, don't get comfy.

Heh, that is kind of funny. It helps tell us that our level of entry talent for the league is not good enough on average to play at A-ball and should be at a lower level (which doesn't exist for us).

I guess that is good information to have when trying to predict the future growth of very raw young prospects.
