Yeah, I think that setting is hidden where you can't see other team's strategies, so I shouldn't reply to that. You have me curious though, so I might look for myself though!

It was his reliever though that stayed in way too long, and I've seen this happen before regardless of the hook setting. I have wondered over time if this is what happens if you do not list a mop up reliever, it doesn't bring someone in to mop things up. Not sure on that though.

Yamamoto Cracks 6 Hits
Thursday, September 19th, 2069: 6 hits in 7 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Terumoto Yamamoto of the Tokyo Cyclones had a sensational 6-7 game against St. Petersburg at Legends Field. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 22-1 shellacking of the Pelicans.

In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?"

T. Yamamoto singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Presently Yamamoto is batting .298 and has collected 10 home runs, 83 RBIs, .392 OBP and scored 107 runs.

Rancheros Chase Silences Ann Arbor
Tuesday, October 1st, 2069: Everything clicked on the hill today for Richard Chase of the Colorado Rancheros as he hurled his club to a 9-0 shutout win over the Ann Arbor Winged Lingerines, limiting them to 1 hit while recording 6 strikeouts and yielding 3 walks. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.

"We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Winged Lingerines manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."

This year Chase has a 8-12 record with a 5.67 ERA in 37 starts.

Owens Reaches 300-Save Milestone in 5-2 St. Petersburg Victory
Wednesday, October 2nd, 2069: Ron Owens has joined elite company. The St. Petersburg Pelicans reliever earned his 300th save in a 5-2 victory over the Baltimore Charm at Charm Ballpark. The newest member of the 300 club told reporters after the game, "I get the ball and I try to win the game. When I get a save, my team wins and really that's all that matters. I'm happy to reach the milestone but it's just that. The more important part is that I've helped my club win." While picking up the save, Owens allowed no hits and no runs in 0.2 innings of work.

Despite the dejection of their team having lost the game, even a number of Charm fans were seen honoring Owens as they joined in the standing ovation as he recorded the final out on his historic save. "That was pretty special," he said. "Something I won't soon forget."

During his career, Owens has appeared in 808 games and captured 300 saves. To date he has 60 wins, 71 losses, and a 3.10 ERA.

Nice to see Winter break the 3000 hit and 600 HR barrier with the Marlies. I was very excited to pick him up

Treadwell Fires No-Hitter
Monday, October 14th, 2069: It was a terrific day for Woody Treadwell of the Napa Valley Winemakers at Ballpark of Boston. He stood out with a fantastic 14-0 no-hitter against the Boston Settlers.

"I knew I had a No-No going in about the sixth inning, when I noticed no one was talking to me anymore," he said, referring to the time honored superstition of teammates avoiding the pitcher so they won't jinx the no-hitter. "Don't let people fool you. Everybody on the field and in the ballpark knows what's happening. They just pretend they don't."

For the game Treadwell totaled 3 walks and 4 strikeouts in a very strong outing.

The Napa Valley pitching coach marveled at his performance, "His mechanics were perfect and I don't think he threw one bad pitch in the whole game. He was that good."

This year Treadwell has posted a 8-10 mark in 40 starts and has a 4.76 ERA.

A fun note about Treadwell's no-hitter.... This is the third year in a row that someone in FOOL has thrown a no-hitter. All three seasons, the no-hitter was thrown by a Napa Valley pitcher.... and it was three different pitchers that did it! Ishida (2067), Jones (2068), Treadwell (2069)

Seriously though, I'm pretty embarrassed with my failures the last 8 or 9 seasons. I realize after a long run of success you're going to have to rebuild but I didn't think it would take this damn long.

It's good to be back.

It's nice to battle you in 2 leagues. Are you leaving the Raindrops behind when we convert?

Honestly, I have my headphones in and I'm completely ignoring it. I do have to see it in my peripheral vision though.

Very interesting thing for the Ranchero pitching staff: We won every PoM award shown (didn't see the September one), and 3 different guys got the awards. White with 2, Boyd with 2 and Fuji with 1. I think we have a pretty decent rotation.
