If they avoid another meltdown from Brown, they should be able to move at will against a solid opponent that lost 13 starters from last year. ESPN 3 coverage for this one.

Liberty would be a legit contender in FCS this year if starting NT Asa Chapman, 6-5 380, hadn't been busted for marijuana and cocaine on a traffic stop two weeks ago. Chapman, Brown (as a WR--his first BSC POY was as a WR), WR Chris Summers, and K Matt Blevins are all receiving NFL interest with 13 teams already having scouts attend practices at LU.

Coastal Carolina is going to win the Big South this year. Lots of questions coming into the season but answered many with a nice win over Furman to get things started. Play Catawba this week for what better be an easy win then next week they travel to Georgia to play some horrible team there in that mediocre conference, the SEC or something like that.

Too bad the Liberty/Coastal Carolina tilt is near the beginning of Big South conference play this year-its likely between those two and Stony Brook for the conference title.

I'm comparing him to the game against Miami.

I thought his passing was much better, but I agree.. he runs way to much.. Brad Smith he is not.

They tried the run and punt deal and it went off the side of his foot... horrible. Set up Badgers for a 17 yd R. Wilson TD pass, so.. We'll take it.

Auburn's luckbox not quite as powerful now, and it's 14-14 vs. MSU.

I would love to see CMU beat MSU in a couple of weeks. CMU is nicely placed inside a brutal stretch of MSU's schedule.

RU has forced 4 turnovers and is losing 17-12. Allowing 210 yards passing at the half, and a 50 yard TD run will do that.

Toledo helping out OSU as much as they can. Holding on a 3 and goal at the 5. Next play TD for OSU and it's 27-22 OSU.

Florida Atlantic is probably the worst team in D1 this year.

137 yards vs. Florida last weak (48-3 loss)
48 yards through 3 quarters vs. Michigan State (44-0 right now)

And halftime in Morgantown, everyone's been talking about moving to the SEC and not practicing.

Norfolk State 12, West Virginia 10.

Greg Schiano's offense getting a lot of familiars. He must have Shoop calling the plays.

Trotter has thrown for 125. Blake has caught for 106. Um...The fact that Auburn has put up 76 points in 7 quarters makes me believe there is more to this system than just Cam.

Malzahn was a good offensive coach long before Cam, obviously. It took a freak athlete like Cam to take it to the NC contender level.

Malzahn's body of work prior to Cam wasn't enough to give you that impression?

LOL, Tennessee ties Cincy at 7-7 early, pulls off a beautiful onside kick recovered by the kicker.

5 plays later, pretty TD pass Bray to Hunter & it's 14-7.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this one ended up with both teams in the 40's.

Sorry but that ought to have cost Miss St 15 yards. The next coach that finds himself that far out on the f'n field ought to be suspended for a year. It's gotten fucking ridiculous.

It would help if the ref would not turn his back to him trying to call a TO in a time-critical situation.

Why did Mississippi State go under center those last two plays? I don't agree with those decisions.

Thought they should've thrown it once to give them an extra play.

It would help if we took the stupidity of having a head coach be the only person to call a crucial timeout out of the game.

Wouldn't that have them blowing whistles because they hear "Time Out" in any voice along the sideline, then?

Iowa will struggle this season if they cant find a way to stop a running QB. Oh wait, we are struggling. I am royally POed. I hate losing to the Cyclowns. Just hate it. I am in a bad mood now. We have people staying at our house tonight. I have to take the guy to a dinner interview (He is interviewing for our youth minister position) and Im in no mood to deal with this. *&**^&^(^(&%*&$^&%#$#%#^$*%^)*

Yes a lot of things would've helped, but they didn't, so he didn't have much choice.

There's not 11 players on the field? One of the them can't find an official to call timeout?

Quote:
A player who participated during the previous down may request a
timeout between the time the ball is declared dead and the snap without
being between the nine-yard marks (A.R. 3-3-4-I and II).

Even more clearly, from Rule 1, Section 1
Quote:
ARTICLE 5. ... c. Any player may request a team charged timeout.

And from Rule 3, Section 3
Quote:
ARTICLE 4. When timeouts are not exhausted, an official shall allow a
charged team timeout when requested by any player or head coach when the
ball is dead (A.R. 3-3-4-I and II).
