I love the FOFC theme. We should stick to big names, like jeeber, skydog, EF27, and Pumpy

I am actually really good with poetry and rhyming to be honest, I love doing it in my spare time... so maybe this is something I can do well at and help us out a bunch

I'm gonna try an acrostic next I think after I get a couple things done here. So are we thinking that we should all just kind of throw some different stuff out and then see which ones we want to submit? I guess we just need to make sure we get all bases covered......

P.S. I love the idea of a Max Football limerick. Be sure and spell Daivd correctly!

Here's my MF limerick.
A football game like nothing before With Daivd Winters and beer tents galore A thread of pure gold Few copies were sold But there's always MF-2 to look for. I feel this is subpar. I like the idea (of course), but the execution is lacking. Especially the last line. It's giving me fits. I'm not too keen on the second line, either, but I wanted to include Daivd and the beer tents somehow. Hopefully some one can come along and clean up my mess. |

Sorry guys, I sent in five link, the commishes had all the pics on one. That must have mean the last two weren't counted. I'll take the heat for this loss.

I really don't think it matters. I haven't gone back and analyzed the scores in detail, but I don't think we could have done anything to get past the two teams with six members (unless we had lucked out and found pics of everything no one else found). Now give us some poems! |

Let's not forget that the deadline for this is early tonight, 7 PM Eastern, so we don't have all night like we normally would. |

I think our accustic should either spell out howard, or barkeep... anybody attempted that yet?

How this for a poem:
His dad was a famous Saint Initially a champion he aint He lost yearly to the Gators And in January his team would be faders A golden boy from Michigan was his nemesis Watching him lose would induce emesis He berated a liquored up Canuck After 10 seconds I thought it would be another clusterf*** But he turned it around Before they went down At last he has won Something Indy has never done As he lifted the Super Bowl cup I saw him say "Eli you're up" |

Nice use of emesis.
Unfortunately, it doesn't tie into the theme of FOFC. |

the only thing is that the poem has to be about the word you are using. so it has to be about howard, or barkeep or whatever

lymerick -a kind of humorous verse of five lines, in which the first, second, and fifth lines rhyme with each other, and the third and fourth lines, which are shorter, form a rhymed couplet.
Any of us funny? |

I like this one, it is based on FOFC and WW games:
A long time I have been on the sly Some would say 'as if you were a fly' I searched the main boards a couple times a week In the Werewolf thread I never did peak Finally I took a gander Through the threads I did meander On the survivor thread I took a bead But apparently I can't read I should take the fall It's been nice knowing y'all |

Man, it's tough. Here's a derivation of that: MF was going to surprise A game that you could customize! A thread of pure gold Few copies were sold But we can't wait for Daivd's next franchise Ick.
