WEEK 9: Recruiting Trail

Daniel Ertmann, Tang Le Wood and Larry McGill have still not decided on a point of matriculation for the 2005 college season. Rumors of under-the-table activity are rampant, but sources tell us that is not the case.

WEEK 9: Recruiting Trail- "The Blitzmeister"

A Penn State Overview: the Nittany Lions are currently #20 in the Power Rankings at 5-2. Both losses are to top 50 teams while 3 wins were over top 50 teams. They have 20 graduating seniors.

Penn State will be returning 4 ILBs, though none have a future potential higher than 70 at this time.

WEEK 9: Recruiting Trail- "Prepare to Die"

An Oregon State Overview: the Beavers are currently #88 in the Power Rankings at 1-6. However, 5 losses are to top 30 teams, 4 of those in the top 20. They have 15 graduating seniors.

Oregon State will be returning 5 RBs. They have an amazing amount of talent for a 1-6 team with 3 RBs with around 80 future potential, one each of Jr, So, Fr.. Tone down the schedule and...maybe.

I would be fine with any of those Florida schools, just as long as I can start for at least 3 years (which it looks like I would).

WEEK 11: Recruiting Trail

Daniel Ertmann and Tang Le Wood are STILL unsigned. Maryland has taken their offer off the table for Ertmann.

Ertmann is still looking at Nebraska, Oklahoma and Marshall.

Le Wood is in the running at Florida and Miami.

There is now more rampant talk of bribery for these #1 and #3 recruits. QBs, one supposes, are in high demand. Marshall in particular, has been mentioned under people's breath as a suspect, being ranked only #60 and academically only in the 43rd percentile in statistics, Ertmann's major and his #1 emphasis.

WEEK 11: Recruiting Trail- "McMauler"

A Tennessee Overview: the Volunteers are currently the #1 team in the Power Rankings at 9-0. They have 20 graduating seniors.

Tennessee will be returning 4 ILBs, 3 of whom have future potentials of 75 or greater, though 2 of these are Juniors with but 1 more year left.

WEEK 12: Recruiting Trail

Tang Le Wood is STILL unsigned. In fact, Le Wood is the last remaining top 100 player in the country who has not signed a Letter of Intent. Le Wood is in the running at Florida and Miami.

Rumors are now flying that Tang will soon be in rehab and will not be going to college at all. Stay tuned here for any late breaking news.

Great stuff! Looking forward to Penn State, and the chance that I might have a chance to start at linebacker soon. I'm wondering, though, if my 78 rating is going to be enough for the pros. Could be close.

Sorry if I don't post as often as I'd like to here. I'm doing my best to keep up, but FOFC has been really slow for me since the crash, and it seems that threads with lots of tables/graphs choke it. The other day I clicked on the first page of this dynasty, saw that it was loading slowly, went out and wrapped two Xmas presents, came back and the page was still loading! Must have been about ten minutes. I'm reading, though, and enjoying it, but it might be every other day.

No biggie, GB. Having done a horse race dynasty, I'm used to nobody much reading what I do.

My load times aren't bad, but if others are having problems with all the charts and other Excel goodies, I can make it much plainer for y'all if needed.

Never having actually imported a draft class into FOF, I have no idea what to expect, though the 1st season's class will be done shortly.

Thanks for reading and, especially, posting. As all dynasty writers know, it IS nice to have feedback and posts aside from your own.

Note that the PoY for 2004, Donald Favret of N.C. State, is the 34th ranked QB in the draft with an 8/35, 3.4.

Dana Bernstein, the Michigan wonderkund, is the 5th rated QB with a 24/58, 5.5. Also of note, Bernstein scored a 42 on the Sole Test, while his college Intelligence grade was a...4. His GPA was a sterling 1.72. Go figure.

I believe that does it for the 2004 seasons.

Anything anyone wants to know or is curious about, ask away.

On to 2005 soon.
