We've got 3 feature games this week, starting with the championship game of the Las Vegas Shootout.

12/24/18- Las Vegas Shootout Championship- #4 Boston College (Eden James vs. #23 Auburn (Randy Rodgers) -- Coach Pearl and the Tigers ran into a buzzsaw named Boston College tonight. The Eagles led by 22 at halftime and never looked back, forcing 25 Auburn turnovers and winning the Las Vegas Shootout with ease.

Final Score: #4 Boston College- 94, #23 Auburn- 65

Eden James (#4 Boston College)- 5 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 6 blocks, 1 steal.
Randy Rodgers (#23 Auburn)- 2 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists.

Our second feature game of the week was as follows:

12/25/18- Pittsburgh (Qwikshot Collins) @ #10 Michigan State (Jaybard Riley) -- This one was a good one early on, as Pitt led by 1 at halftime and outshot Michigan St. 46.2% to 42.1%. The difference came at the line, as Michigan St. shot 44 free throws to just 14 for Pitt.

Final Score: #10 Michigan State- 84, Pittsburgh- 76

Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- DNP (Injury)
Jaybard Riley (#10 Michigan State)- 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists.

And our last feature game?

12/29/18- Arizona State (Ivan Carrillo) @ #3 Maryland (Chester Smith) -- 2 teams going in completely different directions here, and it was about what we expected. The Sun Devils actually were within 10 at halftime, but only going 7 deep hurt them, as they ran out of gas.

Final Score: #3 Maryland- 83, Arizona State- 52

Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State)- DNP (Injury)
Chester Smith (#3 Maryland)- no key stats in 7 minutes of action.

Other Games

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 2-9, 0-0 Patriot.

12/25/18 at Marquette (L 82-68), 5 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal.
12/29/18 at #13 UConn (L 71-60), 7 points, 18 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block.

2 gallant efforts on the week for the Cadets, against great competition. David was huge on the boards against UConn, gotta get him shooting a little bit more.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (Xavier) -- 9-3, 0-0 Atlantic 10.

12/27/18 at Appalachian St. (W 71-64), 18 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 7 blocks, 2 steals, (Double-double), (POTG).

Just the 1 game this week for the Musketeers, and without the effort of Jace, they probably lose as the rest of the team seemed to be sleepwalking. Jace was just 3 blocks shy of a triple-double. Oh, I take that back, there was 1 other player for Xavier that got a double-double, but other than that everybody else was sleepwalking.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (#23 Auburn) -- 7-3, 0-0 SEC.

12/24/18- Las Vegas Shootout Championship vs. (2) #4 Boston College- feature game, highlighted above.
12/30/18 at Florida St. (L 81-76), 13 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals.

Tough week for the Tigers, who drop a couple, including a blowout loss. Randy is starting to find his groove when it comes to assists, now if he can stay out of foul trouble, he'll be alright.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State)- injured -- 1-10, 0-0 Pac 10.

12/25/18 at Wake Forest (W 73-70)
12/29/18 at #3 Maryland- feature game, highlighted above.

Breaking news!! Arizona State has won their first game of the season, on the road against a tough ACC opponent no less. Then they followed that up by getting their tails kicked. Ivan is still about a month away from coming back.

JR PF Eden James (#4 Boston College) -- 11-0, 0-0 ACC.

12/24/18- Las Vegas Shootout Championship vs. (4) #23 Auburn- feature game, highlighted above.

The Eagles roll to a season tournament championship, and Eden had a decent game, but he can do better.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#3 Maryland) -- 12-0, 0-0 ACC.

12/29/18 vs. Arizona St.- feature game, highlighted above.

Just the 1 game for the Terps this week as they roll to stay undefeated, but disappointing outing from Chester.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (Houston) -- 9-1, 0-0 Conference USA.

No games this week for Al and the Cougars.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 8-3, 0-0 Mountain West.

12/27/18 vs. Northern Colorado (W 69-42), 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist.

Good win for the Rebels against inferior competition, but foul trouble limited Ricardo to just 18 minutes in this one.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 4-6, 0-0 Big West.

12/25/18 vs. Loyola Marymount (L 64-44), 7 points, 1 assist.
12/28/18 at San Jose St. (L 73-45), 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist.

So the 49ers get hammered twice this week, not what they wanted. They scored just 11 first half points at San Jose St. Poor Rudy tried to play through a broken finger, and as soon as that was completely healed, he broke his nose in the game at San Jose St! We'll see if he tries to play through that as well.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#22 Syracuse) -- 10-2, 0-0 Big East.

12/28/18- San Juan Classic First Round vs. (8) LaSalle (W 81-67), 19 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals.
12/29/18- San Juan Classic Semifinals vs. (4) Iowa St. (W 76-65), 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal.
12/30/18- San Juan Classic Championship vs. (3) Kent St. (W 102-72), 3 points, 2 rebounds,1 steal.

Good week for the Orange as they win the San Juan Classic pretty easily. Jack had a nice game in the First Round, but fractured his nose in the Semifinals and played limited minutes in that game and the championship game.

RS FR C Ralph King (#2 Duke) -- 11-0, 0-0 ACC.

12/26/18 vs. UNC Wilmington (W 85-54), 3 rebounds in 6 minutes
12/28/18 vs. South Carolina (W 88-51), 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists.

2 more cakewalks for the Blue Devils, and Ralph was nothing if not consistent against South Carolina.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 5-7, 2-0 Big South.

12/27/18 vs. Coastal Carolina (W 84-68), 5 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist.
12/29/18 vs. Charleston Southern (W 67-53), 5 points, 1 steal.

Great start to Big South play for the Panthers with a couple big wins. We're being told the reason why Benton sat the last few games was because of a lack of effort at practice. He must have gotten that cleared up, because he was solid in averaging 8 minutes a game this week, and very productive in those minutes.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling)- academic suspension -- 2-6, 0-0 SWAC.

12/26/18 at Baylor (W 71-70)

Looks like the Tigers may be turning a corner here, as they've upset 2 opponents in a row on the road now. The early decision on Bam is that he'll return next week, but nothing is set in stone yet.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 8-3, 0-0 Big East.

12/27/18 at American (W 84-75), 4 rebounds, 1 steal.
12/29/18 vs. Colorado St. (W 71-63), 2 points, 6 rebounds.

The Hoyas certainly walked through this week, winning twice but not looking good in doing so. Ariel got a tryout of sorts, as both of the starting bigs got into foul trouble against Colorado State, so he played a season high 21 minutes. To say he was disappointing would be an understatement.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 5-5, 0-0 Conference USA.

12/30/18 at St. Louis (W 61-53), 15 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals.

Good win for the Thundering Herd in their lone game of the week, and a great game for Thomas, who was just 1 rebound away from a double-double.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- injured -- 6-4, 0-0 Big East.

12/25/18 at #10 Michigan St.- feature game, highlighted above.

Just the 1 game for Pitt, and they battled, but couldn't overcome the Spartans.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#10 Michigan State) -- 10-1, 0-0 Big 10.

12/25/18 vs. Pittsburgh- feature game, highlighted above.

Just 1 game for the Spartans, who got a tough win against a game Panther team. Jaybard had a nice game.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- redshirting -- 7-3, 0-0 Big 12.

12/26/18 vs. Texas-Pan American (L 73-62)

This certainly mirrors the real Wildcats, losing to teams they shouldn't be losing to. Ridiculous!

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting -- 7-4, 0-0 Pac 10.

12/27/18 vs. Fresno St. (L 80-77)

Not a terrible loss for the Ducks, as Fresno St. is a decent team, but still, those are the games you need to win.

Something I am going to do every couple of weeks is print a screenshot of the spreadsheet I have going, so that everybody can see how their player is doing stat wise for the season. It will just be in order of class, just like I do the weekly reports, with a few exceptions. Mike Schaplowsky and Path Twelve will not be included because they are redshirting. Bam Jamison won't be included in this one since he hasn't played due to academic suspension. If his suspension is lifted, obviously he'll be included in the next one. I've put most of the stats on there, I didn't include games started, games played, turnovers per game or fouls per game. I think next time I'll include those. As it stands, here is a look at the first stat sheet.

1 feature game to tell you about this week and it is a heck of a non-conference battle.

1/2/19- Georgetown- Ariel Ginsberg) @ #3 Maryland (Chester Smith) -- The Hoyas needed this one badly, and they came out playing like it early on, taking a 4 point lead into the locker room at halftime. In the second half, Maryland turned up the defensive intensity, using a half court trap that saw Georgetown commit 14 second half turnovers. The result was Maryland staying undefeated, but it didn't come easily.

Final Score- #3 Maryland- 77, Georgetown- 69

Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown)- 2 points, 1 rebound.
Chester Smith (#3 Maryland)- no stats in 4 minutes of action.

Other Games

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 4-10, 0-0 Patriot.

12/31/18 at UMass (L 85-66), 23 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block.
1/2/19 at Bowling Green (W 78-71), 13 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, (Double-double), (POTG)
1/5/19 at Rutgers (W 85-81), 19 points, 10 rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals, (Double-double), (POTG)

What a week for the Cadets, who get 2 solid road wins against decent competition, despite the loss at UMass. And what a week for David: 2 double-doubles, 2 POTG awards. Way to go!

RS JR C Jace Hunter (Xavier) -- 10-3, 0-0 Atlantic 10.

1/2/19 vs. Ball St. (W 85-59), 11 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, (Double-double)

Just the 1 game this week for the Musketeers, who win it with ease. Jace had a double-double, but even then, he could have padded the stats even more.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 8-5, 0-0 SEC.

1/2/19 vs. Southern Miss (W 81-67), 11 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists, (Double-double)
1/4/19 vs. Central Florida (L 80-71), 2 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists.
1/6/19 at #5 North Carolina (L 67-64), 4 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal.

Ending the week with 2 losses doesn't bode well for Coach Pearl and the Tigers, who let one slip away against the 5th ranked team in the country. Randy came close to a triple-double against Southern Miss, and his rebounding numbers for a PG continue to impress. However, he is questionable for next weeks games, as he broke his finger late in the game at UNC and is expected out about 2 weeks.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State)- injured -- 2-11, 1-1 Pac 10.

1/3/19 vs. USC (W 80-76)
1/5/19 vs. UCLA (L 71-57)

The Sun Devils get their second win of the season, first in conference play, and a nice win it was. Ivan is still out for a few weeks, but he is starting to do some light rehab.

JR PF Eden James (#4 Boston College) -- 13-0, 0-0 ACC.

12/31/18 vs. Idaho (W 102-61), 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 blocks, 1 steal.
1/4/19 vs. Holy Cross (W 90-62), 18 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 blocks, (Double-double), (POTG)

Easy week for the Eagles against bottom feeder competition, so the stats for Eden may be skewed a little, but still solid numbers.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#3 Maryland) -- 14-0, 0-0 ACC.

1/2/19 vs. Georgetown- feature game, highlighted above.
1/4/19 at Villanova (W 77-63), 3 points, 1 rebound.

The Terps continue to roll, getting a couple wins against solid Big East competition, and Chester, while happy to be playing, still wants more PT.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (Houston) -- 11-2, 0-0 Conference USA.

1/2/19 vs. Baylor (W 76-68), 21 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, (POTG).
1/4/19 at Texas A&M (W 77-60), 8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist.
1/6/19 at #7 Texas (L 91-64), 1 rebound, 1 assist.

So the Cougars get solid wins vs. Baylor and at Texas A&M, but got hammered at Texas in their Texas road trip that isn't over yet. Al was completely shut down against the Longhorns, but got POTG against Baylor.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 8-4, 0-0 Mountain West.

1/1/19 vs. UC Santa Barbara (L 64-57), 9 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, (Double-double)

Despite the best efforts of Ricardo, the Rebels fell in this one against a team they quite frankly shouldn't be losing to. Not only that, but it was a 13 point deficit at halftime. Unacceptable.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 4-7, 0-0 Big West.

1/4/19 at Pepperdine (L 76-69), 2 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists.

It was a gallant effort at a solid Pepperdine team in the 49ers' only game of the week. Rudy was a beast on the boards, but just doesn't put many shots up.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#14 Syracuse) -- 10-2, 0-0 Big East.

No games this week for Jack and the Orange, which gave Jack's injury time to fully heal.

RS FR C Ralph King (#1 Duke) -- 13-0, 0-0 ACC.

1/3/19 vs. American (W 76-65), 1 rebound in 5 minutes.
1/6/19 vs. Dartmouth (W 103-61), 3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block.

The Blue Devils beat a couple more easy opponents this week, although the game against American was tougher than one would think. Ralph played a season high 15 minutes against Dartmouth.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 6-8, 3-1 Big South.

1/3/19 at Liberty (L 73-69), 6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals.
1/5/19 at VMI (W 70-61), 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist.

The Panthers let the game at Liberty slip away or they would still be undefeated early in Big South play. Benton has to be very pleased with the minutes he got this week, and the production.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 4-6, 2-0 SWAC.

1/3/19 at Alcorn St. (W 71-60), DNP (Coaches Decision).
1/5/19 at Southern (W 74-73), DNP (Coaches Decision).

Great week for the Tigers who have now won 4 in a row and their first 2 in SWAC play. Is it a coincidence that Grambling is rolling with Bam back? Unfortunately, Bam is still so far down the depth chart that he still might not see the court this season.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 8-4, 0-0 Big East.

1/2/19 at #3 Maryland- feature game, highlighted above.

The Hoyas only game of the week was a nice effort, but they had way too many second half turnovers. Ariel, of course, played limited minutes and didn't do much.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 5-7, 0-0 Conference USA.

1/2/19 vs. Ohio (L 69-62), 16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block.
1/6/19 vs. Duquesne (L 63-58), 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists.

It was a solid week for Thomas, unfortunately the rest of the Thundering Herd couldn't back him up, as they lost twice. Both were close though.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- injured -- 7-4, 0-0 Big East.

1/5/19 at Toledo (W 85-50)

Easy win for the Panthers in their only game of the week.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#9 Michigan State) -- 12-1, 2-0 Big 10.

1/2/19 vs. Iowa (W 70-52), 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block.
1/5/19 at Northwestern (W 60-46), 8 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists.

Good week for the Spartans who start conference play on a good note. Not the greatest of weeks for Jaybard, who was solid, but Coach Izzo knows he can get more out of him.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- redshirting -- 9-3, 0-0 Big 12.

1/2/19 vs. Central Arkansas (W 68-58)
1/4/19 at NJIT (W 91-85, OT)

Teams like NJIT can not be taking the Wildcats to overtime, there's just no excuse. It could be a long Big 12 season if the Cats don't wake up.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting -- 8-5, 1-1 Pac 10.

1/3/19 vs. #25 Cal (W 76-68)
1/5/19 vs. Stanford (L 79-59)

After upsetting Cal, the Ducks lay an egg against Stanford. Bummer.

Bam might not be playing, but surely his mere presence is worth a couple of wins?

I am going to take on a slower pace in this one. The reason why is eventually we will have guys that get drafted and play pro ball. I am hesitant to buy the pro version of FBCB because I may never play it other than to work on this dynasty. However, those characters that do go pro should have the right to continue on if they want. If that's the case, then it'll take me with few weeks before I'm able to buy FBPB and figure out how to import draft classes from FBCB to FBPB.

At this point I need to hear from everyone. Are you interested in your players pro career if they make it that far? Or are the 3, 4 years of college good enough. If enough people want to see their characters progress to pro ball, I'll definitely make it happen

Thanks, I appreciate it. I just figured I'd see if anybody really didn't care about following their player after college, because your guy Jace Hunter will probably end up playing pro ball. So I'll put you down as an I don't care if I follow his pro career or not. lol

I'd like to see how Riley may do professionally but no pressure either way.

My guy will be lucky to have a college career, much less a pro one. So for me, if it's only about their college careers, that's fine with me.

Good to see some of you are still reading and following, I always appreciate it. I'm having a blast doing this and my interactive coaches dynasty. Back to this one, to my knowledge we had one 1 recruit still unsigned, but that has changed.

Tim Sheppard has signed with Mississippi State and will be a Bulldog next season. So there you go rjolley, your recruit is signed.

I'll be in and out of town over the next few days, but I'm going to try and squeeze in a post here and a post on the coaches dynasty. I still have no idea what I'm going to do about FBPB, whether I'm getting it or not. I've still got some time to think about it though. Would love to hear more opinions from some of the other posters on here.

Jan. 7-13, 2019

No feature games to speak of, so let's jump into the action.

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 6-10, 2-0 Patriot.

1/9/19 at Bucknell (W 80-57), 4 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 blocks.
1/12/19 at Lehigh (W 80-72), 12 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, (Double-double)

Great week for the Cadets winning their first 2 conference games, and David had a heck of a game at Lehigh.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (Xavier) -- 11-3, 0-0 Atlantic 10.

1/11/19 at SIU Edwardsville (W 76-73), 12 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, 1 steal, (Double-double), (POTG)

Just 1 game this week for the Musketeers, and they struggled against a 2 win SIU Edwardsville team, but Jace had a heck of a game in getting a double-double and POTG.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 9-6, 1-0 SEC.

1/10/19 at #8 Kansas (L 71-66), DNP (Injury)
1/12/19 at #23 Ole Miss (W 85-75), no stats in 1 minute.

Big win for the Tigers at Ole Miss, and they almost knocked off a good Kansas team. They might well have if they'd had Randy in the lineup, as he is just coming back from injury.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona St.) - injured -- 3-12, 2-2 Pac 10.

1/10/19 at Washington St. (L 75-63)
1/12/19 at Washington (W 80-74)

At least the Sun Devils can take pride in the fact that they are currently .500 in conference play. Ivan is still a couple weeks away from returning.

JR PF Eden James (#4 Boston College) -- 14-1, 0-0 ACC.

1/7/19 at UMass (L 76-65), 9 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block.
1/9/19 vs. Rhode Island (W 83-54), 4 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks.

So the Eagles suffer their first loss, but get a nice comeback win against Rhode Island. Not a great week for Eden though, he struggled a tad.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#3 Maryland) -- 15-0, 0-0 ACC.

1/7/19 at American (W 78-69), 2 points in 1 minute.

Just 1 game for the Terps this week, and they struggled at American. Chester only saw 1 minute of action, kind of a disappointment.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (#24 Houston) -- 12-2, 0-0 Conference USA.

1/9/19 at Houston Baptist (W 74-60), 7 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists.

The Cougars got a good win against an in-city rival, but didn't get as much out of Al as they'd have liked as he battled foul trouble.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 10-4, 2-0 Mountain West.

1/9/19 vs. Air Force (W 69-40), 23 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 2 steals, (POTG)
1/12/19 at #20 San Diego St. (W 58-49), 4 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists.

Good week for the Rebels in getting 2 conference wins, including a win over a ranked team. What a game Ricardo had at Air Force, setting a season and career high in points.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 5-8, 1-0 Big West.

1/9/19 at Wright St. (L 76-50), 5 points, 4 rebounds.
1/12/19 vs. Cal Poly (W 71-63), no stats, injured after 6 minutes.

The good news, the 49ers finished the conference season with a win, and the bad news: they've lost Rudy for about a month with a torn ligament.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#15 Syracuse) -- 12-2, 2-0 Big East.

1/9/19 at Providence (W 65-56), 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal.
1/12/19 vs. Seton Hall (W 86-44), 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal.

Solid week for the Orange, and for Jack, who was very consistent with his scoring.

RS FR C Ralph King (#1 Duke) -- 13-0, 0-0 ACC.

no games this week for Ralph or the Blue Devils.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 8-8, 4-1 Big South.

1/7/19 at Eastern Michigan (W 90-88), 1 assist.
1/12/19 vs. Radford (W 62-61), 1 rebound.

Good week for the Panthers who get 2 wins, by a combined 3 points. Benton played some solid minutes at Eastern Michigan but didn't do much, and saw just 1 minute against Radford.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 5-8, 3-0 SWAC.

1/7/19 at #23 Ole Miss (L 82-71), 2 points, 1 steal.
1/10/19 vs. Stephen F. Austin (L 78-61), DNP (Coaches Decision)
1/12/19 vs. Jackson St. (W 68-67), 1 rebound.

Tough week for the Tigers, who only won 1 of 3, but they did play Ole Miss well and they are still undefeated in conference play. Bam saw his first action, playing 2 minutes each against Ole Miss and Jackson St.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 9-5, 1-1 Big East.

1/9/19 at #12 Cincinnati (L 76-62), 1 rebound.
1/12/19 vs. Marquette (W 80-70), 4 points, 4 rebounds.

The Hoyas split their first 2 Big East games, and Ariel had a solid game in limited minutes against Marquette.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 6-7, 0-0 Conference USA.

1/8/19 vs. Virginia Tech (W 60-58), 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block.

Nice win for the Thundering Herd against a pretty solid VA Tech team, and Thomas had a nice stat line in the Thundering Herd only game of the week.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh) - injured -- 9-4, 2-0 Big East.

1/9/19 at Seton Hall (W 86-56)
1/12/19 vs. Villanova (W 80-70)

Good start to conference play for the Panthers, as all Qwikshot can do is sit and watch.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#9 Michigan State) -- 14-1, 4-0 Big 10.

1/9/19 vs. Penn St. (W 93-76), 24 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists.
1/12/19 at Purdue (W 96-70), 23 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists.

The Spartans with 2 easy victories in conference play this week, and Jaybard had huge scoring days. Surprisingly, neither one was enough to warrant a POTG award.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State) - redshirting -- 9-4, 0-1 Big 12.

1/12/19 at #13 Oklahoma (L 79-69)

Not a bad effort for the Wildcats against a tough OU team, but just not enough fuel in the tank.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon) - redshirting -- 9-6, 2-2 Pac 10.

1/10/19 at UCLA (L 67-51)
1/12/19 at USC (W 73-67)

The Ducks will take a split this week, running into a good UCLA team.
Knowing a .500 conference record might still be enough to squeeze them into the NCAA Tournament.

1 feature game for you this week, and it 1 of many major battles between our FOFC teams in the ACC.

1/19/19- #7 Boston College (Eden James) @ #2 Maryland (Chester Smith) -- A battle of top 10 teams here, but it wasn't really much of a battle. Given that Maryland shot 32.8% from the field and Boston College shot 44.6% from the field, you would think that BC ran away with it. Not the case, as Maryland led by 20 at halftime, and although BC did get the lead down to single digits at one point in the second half, it wasn't nearly enough, as Maryland won the free throw battle, going 27-33 from the line while BC was only 8-12 from the line.

Final Score: #2 Maryland- 77, #7 Boston College- 66

Eden James (Boston College)- 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal.
Chester Smith (Maryland)- 2 points, 1 rebound.

And now it's time to highlight the rest of the games for the week.

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 8-10, 4-0 Patriot.

1/16/19 vs. Holy Cross (W 71-62), 6 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists.
1/19/19 vs. Colgate (W 91-78), 8 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists.

Good week for the Cadets who remain undefeated in conference play. David put up nice numbers on the glass.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (#18 Xavier) -- 13-3, 2-0 Atlantic 10.

1/16/19 vs. Fordham (W 86-78), 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 6 blocks, 1 steal.
1/19/19 at LaSalle (W 92-75), 6 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist.

Good week for the Musketeers who rolled in 2 conference games. Foul trouble saddled Jace against LaSalle as he only played 16 minutes, but he definitely contributed.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 11-6, 3-0 SEC.

1/15/19 vs. South Carolina (W 68-56), 5 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists.
1/19/19 at #1 Tennessee (W 79-66), 6 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal.

Huge week for the Tigers who knock off previously undefeated Tennessee. What a win. Randy is fully returned from injury and put up decent numbers in his return.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State)- injured -- 4-12, 3-2 Pac 10.

1/19/19 at #10 Arizona (W 96-93, OT)

The Sun Devils seem to be turning a bit of a corner as they get a huge win over their in-state rivals. Ivan has started some light rehab, but he's still a couple weeks away from returning.

JR PF Eden James (#7 Boston College) -- 15-2, 1-1 ACC.

1/16/19 vs. Virginia Tech (W 82-74), 7 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block.
1/19/19 at #2 Maryland- feature game, highlighted above.

A split for the Eagles this week, as Eden battled foul trouble in both games, but still had nice stat lines.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#2 Maryland) -- 17-0, 2-0 ACC.

1/16/19 at N.C. State (W 80-61), 1 rebound.
1/19/19 vs. #7 Boston College- feature game, highlighted above.

The Terps stay undefeated but Chester continues to get limited minutes. Oh well, at least he's playing this season.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (#19 Houston) -- 14-2, 2-0 Conference USA.

1/16/19 at ECU (W 78-65), 8 points, 1 assist.
1/19/19 at Kent St. (W 73-56), 3 points.

While the Cougars continue to win, Al is seeing a reduction in his minutes. We're being told that his off court workouts aren't up to par according to Coach Sampson. Keep an eye on this situation.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 12-4, 4-0 Mountain West.

1/16/19 vs. Wyoming (W 62-46), 6 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block, 3 steals.
1/19/19 at TCU (W 77-69), 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal.

Another good week for the Rebels, and Ricardo almost got a double-double against TCU.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State)- injured -- 5-10, 1-2 Big West.

1/15/19 at Pacific (L 74-58)
1/17/19 vs. Cal St. Northridge (L 67-42)

2 ugly performances this week for the 49ers, and with Rudy out another 3-4 weeks, I don't see things getting much better.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#13 Syracuse) -- 13-3, 3-1 Big East.

1/16/19 vs. #20 UConn (L 83-77), 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, (Fouled out).
1/19/19 vs. Providence (W 85-40), 13 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists.

A split for the Orange this week, who really wanted to beat their rivals in UConn. Jack battled foul trouble in both games this week, he'll have to tone down his aggressiveness.

RS FR C Ralph King (#3 Duke) -- 15-0, 2-0 ACC.

1/16/19 at Florida St. (W 84-74), 1 assist.
1/19/19 at Georgia Tech (W 85-67), 4 rebounds.

A couple scoreless games for Ralph as the Blue Devils stay undefeated.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 9-9, 5-2 Big South.

1/17/19 vs. Gardner Webb (W 92-77), 3 rebounds.
1/19/19 vs. UNC Asheville (L 55-53), 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal.

Benton is trying to take advantage of his limited minutes as the Panthers split on the week.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 6-9, 4-1 SWAC.

1/17/19 vs. Mississippi Valley St. (L 85-80), DNP (Coaches Decision)
1/19/19 vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (W 84-47), DNP (Coaches Decision)

Shocked that Bam didn't at least play against Pine Bluff, looks like we've got another Chester Smith situation on our hands. The Tigers split this week.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 11-5, 3-1 Big East.

1/16/19 vs. DePaul (W 80-70), 1 rebound, 1 assist.
1/19/19 vs. Seton Hall (W 87-77), 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal.

Ariel was nothing if not consistent this week, as he got just 1 of any particular stat in each game. He did a little bit more against Seton Hall though, and the Hoyas win a couple 10 point games.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 7-8, 1-1 Conference USA.

1/16/19 at Tulsa (W 70-64), 17 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal.
1/19/19 vs. Southern Miss (L 84-67), 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 steal.

Thomas isn't known for his defense, so to see him get a block and a steal in both games this week, pretty impressive. He had good numbers scoring wise in both games, as the Thundering Herd split.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- injured -- 11-4, 4-0 Big East.

1/16/19 vs. West Virginia (W 67-58)
1/19/19 at DePaul (W 62-49)

While Qwikshot remains done for the season, the Panthers are just kicking it into another gear with 2 more good performances.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#8 Michigan State) -- 15-2, 5-1 Big 10.

1/16/19 vs. Minnesota (W 81-68), 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal.
1/19/19 at Wisconsin (L 87-78), 26 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals.

Jaybard continues to make a case for national frosh of the year, and it's a shame his performance was overshadowed in the Wisconsin game. The Spartans drop their first conference game this season and will look to regroup.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- redshirting -- 10-5, 1-2 Big 12.

1/16/19 vs. Missouri (L 84-80)
1/19/19 vs. Nebraska (W 77-56)

Would have been nice had my Cats gotten that win over Missouri, but I still like where they are at.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting -- 9-8, 2-4 Pac 10.

1/17/19 vs. Washington St. (L 65-50)
1/19/19 vs. Washington (L 65-51)

So the Ducks lose by almost identical scores this week as they hosted the Washington teams and are showing signs of struggling with 2 tough games next week.

Just wanted to touch base and let everybody know that I will not be around much for the next couple weeks. There is a huge baseball tournament coming to town that I am helping out with. I may occasionally sneak in a post or 2 over the next 3 weeks, but don't hold your breath.

I will have a lot more free time starting mid-August though, so hopefully I can really get a move on this. Thanks for your patience all

2 feature games for you this week, the first coming from the Pac 10.

1/26/19- Oregon (Path Twelve) @ Arizona State (Ivan Carrillo) -- A game in which both teams really need, as both teams are struggling. Both teams shot lights out in this one, and the Sun Devils led by 5 at halftime. Unfortunately, they couldn't maintain that lead in the second half, as Oregon went on a huge run to get the road victory.

Final Score: Oregon- 83, Arizona State- 70

Path Twelve (Oregon)- DNP (Redshirting)
Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State)- 6 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block.

Our other feature game comes from the Big East.

1/26/19- #14 Syracuse (Jack Dawkins) @ Pittsburgh (Qwikshot Collins) -- This one wasn't much of a game after halftime. The Orange led by 8 at halftime but went on a huge run early in the second half, forcing 24 turnovers in the game and winning without much resistance.

Final Score: #15 Syracuse- 91, Pittsburgh- 61

Jack Dawkins (Syracuse)- 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist.
Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- DNP (Injury)

Now let's cover the rest of the weeks action:

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 9-10, 5-0 Patriot.

1/23/19 at New Hampshire (W 70-55), 12 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, (double-double)

1 game this week for the Cadets, as they stay undefeated in Patriot play. A nice double-double for David.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (#15 Xavier) -- 15-3, 4-0 Atlantic 10.

1/23/19 at Charlotte (W 89-64), 6 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal.
1/26/19 at St. Louis (W 100-58), 11 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals.

Easy week for the Musketeers, who roll in 2 road games. Jace never got the double-double he was looking for, but still had great all-around numbers.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 13-6, 5-0 SEC.

1/22/19 vs. Kentucky (W 69-57), 8 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists.
1/26/19 vs. LSU (W 89-62), 4 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists.

Randy did his job this week, dishing out the assists, and the Tigers stay undefeated in SEC play.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State) -- 5-13, 4-3 Pac 10.

1/24/19 vs. Oregon State (W 65-61), 7 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block.
1/26/19 vs. Oregon- feature game, highlighted above.

So the Sun Devils split this week and Ivan played about 20 minutes a game, but he had good numbers in his somewhat limited action.

JR PF Eden James (#8 Boston College) -- 16-3, 2-2 ACC.

1/23/19 at #3 North Carolina (L 79-73), 9 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 blocks.
1/26/19 vs. Clemson (W 90-61), 15 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 blocks, (POTG).

A split for the Eagles this week, as Eden put up very good numbers, just missing a double-double both games. He did get POTG against Clemson.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#2 Maryland) -- 19-0, 4-0 ACC.

1/23/19 vs. Georgia Tech (W 59-53), 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist.
1/26/19 vs. Virginia (W 67-47), 3 rebounds.

Chester gets limited minutes again this week but is doing his best to take advantage of them. The Terps stay undefeated setting up a big showdown next week.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (#19 Houston) -- 16-2, 4-0 Conference USA.

1/23/19 at Central Florida (W 97-82), 17 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists.
1/26/19 at South Florida (W 72-63), 16 points, 1 assist.

The Cougars continue to roll in C-USA play, and Al was nothing if not consistent, almost scoring the same amount of points each game.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 13-5, 5-0 Mountain West.

1/23/19 at Portland State (L 65-62), 5 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists.
1/26/19 vs. Colorado State (W 81-56), 9 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists.

An embarrassing loss at Portland State to start the week for the Rebels, but they do stay undefeated in Mountain West play. Ricardo still hasn't found his shooting touch, but he's still putting in good, consistent numbers.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 5-12, 1-4 Big West.

1/22/19 vs. Cal St. Fullerton (L 58-54), DNP (Injury)
1/24/19 at UC Santa Barbara (L 71-62), DNP (Injury)

A winless week for the 49ers, and Rudy continues to nurse his injury, he's still a good 2-3 weeks away from playing again.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#14 Syracuse) -- 15-3, 5-1 Big East.

1/23/19 at #20 Louisville (W 69-66), 11 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks.
1/26/19 at Pittsburgh- feature game, highlighted above.

Nice week for the Orange, getting 2 tough wins. Jack wasn't too impressive against Pitt, but had a nice line at Louisville.

RS FR C Ralph King (#1 Duke) -- 17-0, 4-0 ACC.

1/23/19 at Clemson (W 81-78), 1 rebound.
1/26/19 at Virginia Tech (W 87-69), 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist.

The Blue Devils had a tough one at Clemson, but survived. Ralph is still getting limited minutes but keeps getting his name in the stat book.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 11-9, 7-2 Big South.

1/24/19 at Presbyterian (W 100-78), 9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.
1/26/19 at USC Upstate (W 67-43), 5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal.

Easy week for the Panthers, and Benton is really producing in his short minutes each game. It'll be nice to see what he does with extended minutes.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 7-10, 5-2 SWAC.

1/24/19 at Alabama A&M (W 59-56), DNP (Coaches Decision)
1/26/19 at Alabama State (L 80-71), DNP (Coaches Decision)

You've got to wonder if Bam is being punished even further since his academic suspension, as he seems to have gone AWOL from the line-up. The Tigers do split this week, but having that Bam presence is still helping them.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 12-6, 4-2 Big East.

1/23/19 at Marquette (L 75-67), 1 rebound.
1/26/19 at Rutgers (W 83-68), no key stats.

One guy that isn't taking advantage of his minutes right now is Ariel, but there is a stacked roster in front of him, and he's getting valuable experience in the rotation, even if it is just a couple minutes a game. Oh yea, the Hoyas split this week.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 8-9, 2-2 Conference USA.

1/23/19 vs. SMU (L 56-44), 17 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.
1/26/19 at Central Florida (W 59-48), 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block.

Thomas keeps impressing, as he seems to consistently get double figure scoring each game. The Thundering Herd split.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- injured

1/23/19 at Notre Dame (W 66-49)
1/26/19 vs. #14 Syracuse- feature game, highlighted above.

The Cuse hands the Panthers their first conference loss as Qwikshot is still weeks away from being able to rehab his injury.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#11 Michigan State) -- 17-2, 7-1 Big 10.

1/23/19 vs. Michigan (W 70-30), 17 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, (Double-double), (POTG).
1/26/19 at Ohio State (W 85-82), 29 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block, (POTG).

What a week for Jaybard, who gets 2 POTG awards, and if this game had weekly awards in it, he'd probably get some kind of weekly award. The Spartans totally outclassed their in-state rivals, and continue to roll.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- redshirting -- 11-6, 1-3 Big 12.

1/23/19 at Alabama (W 85-71)
1/26/19 at Iowa State (L 75-62)

The Wildcats mixed in a non-conference game, winning that but losing the conference game. Not what you want to see, as Mike continues to enjoy his redshirt.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting -- 11-8, 4-4 Pac 10.

1/24/19 at #12 Arizona (W 70-59)
1/26/19 at Arizona State- feature game, highlighted above.

Good week for the Ducks after last weeks implosion. This is more like what Path expected when he came here.

As I've done with my other dynasties, just wanted to see who pops in from time to time and takes a look at this, since I'm getting it going again.

I have made a decision that we have a fair amount of guys that have a chance to play pro ball, so I will continue this into FBPB. I will have to buy the pro game and get it all set up and figure out how to import draft classes, but I feel it's only right to let those guys continue their careers in the pro game if they make it that far. Unfortunately, I won't be able to buy FBPB until next month sometime.

In the meantime, I'm still trying to decide whether I want to keep it as is, that guys can only go pro after junior season, or if I want to drop it to go pro after sophomore season. What do you guys think on the matter?

I'm good with either. I'd probably lean towards whatever would likely mean that more guys do well at the pro level. If that extra year doesn't make a big difference, then whatever is easier for you.

I'm following along with the thread, don't really have an opinion one way or the other on the question however.

Don't see any difference. I would think if they're good enough, they're good enough. Since I've never played the games, I don't actually know if the extra year of age matters.

1 feature game this week, and it is in the ACC.

1/30/19- #2 Maryland (Chester Smith) @ #1 Duke (Ralph King). -- A battle between the top 2 teams in the nation, both of them undefeated, and we expected it to be special. It was, as neither team could build a lead higher than 9. When it was all said and done though, the Blue Devils just had too much firepower.

Final Score: #1 Duke- 106, #2 Maryland- 97

Chester Smith (Maryland)- 9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist.
Ralph King (Duke)- 3 points, 1 steal.

Now to the rest of the games:

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 11-10, 7-0 Patriot.

1/30/19 at Navy (W 71-57), 7 points, 8 rebounds.
2/2/19 at American (W 80-69), 8 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 2 steals.

Another great week for the Cadets who stay undefeated in Patriot play. David had some foul trouble this week but still managed to put up some decent numbers.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (#16 Xavier) -- 17-3, 6-0 Atlantic 10.

1/30/19 vs. Rhode Island (W 79-60), 19 points, 17 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 blocks, (Double-double), (POTG).
2/2/19 at Duquesne (W 74-65), 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks.

Huge week for Jace with a double-double and a POTG against Rhode Island as the Musketeers stay undefeated in conference play.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 14-7, 6-1 SEC.

1/29/19 at Alabama (L 101-84), 6 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 2 steals.
2/2/19 at #15 Mississippi State (W 84-49), 10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals.

Decent week for Randy, but not great. The Tigers surprisingly split, rolling over a top 15 opponent.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State) -- 5-15, 4-5 Pac 10.

1/31/19 at #20 Stanford (L 61-51), 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal.
2/2/19 at California (L 87-80), 23 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, (Double-double).

Huge week for Ivan, probably the best of his not so good career, especially the double-double at Cal. Unfortunately it didn't translate to wins for the Sun Devils.

JR PF Eden James (#8 Boston College) -- 18-3, 4-2 ACC.

1/30/19 at #24 Georgia Tech (W 85-62), 8 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocks, 1 steal.
2/2/19 vs. Virginia (W 81-72), 20 points, 16 rebounds, 6 blocks, 1 steal, (Double-double), (POTG).

Huge game for Eden against Virginia, as he was just 4 blocks shy of a triple-double. The Eagles got a couple nice wins this week.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#2 Maryland) -- 20-1, 5-1 ACC.

1/30/19 at #1 Duke- feature game, highlighted above.
2/2/19 at #24 Georgia Tech (W 78-71), 8 points.

Although it doesn't seem like much, Chester had a really nice week this week. He's getting some extra minutes and taking advantage of them.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (#18 Houston) -- 18-2, 6-0 Conference USA.

1/30/19 vs. Central Florida (W 88-68), 13 points, 1 assist.
2/2/19 at UTEP (W 86-66), 12 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 block.

Not a bad week for Al, as he hasn't reached his full potential yet. The Cougars are rolling though.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 13-7, 5-2 Mountain West.

1/29/19 at BYU (L 78-72), 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, 2 steals.
2/2/19 at #17 Utah (L 79-76, OT), 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, 1 steal.

Solid week for Ricardo, especially against Utah. Unfortunately, the Rebels lost both their games.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 6-13, 2-5 Big West.

1/31/19 vs. UC Irvine (L 73-65), DNP (Injury).
2/2/19 at UC Riverside (W 74-68), DNP (Injury).

Rudy continues to watch from the sidelines, but he should start rehab next week. Meanwhile, the 49ers break a slide with the win over Riverside.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#12 Syracuse) -- 17-3, 7-1 Big East.

1/30/19 vs. Memphis (W 106-66), 24 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, (POTG).
2/2/19 at St. Johns (W 88-77), 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, (POTG).

Huge week for Jack, who got 2 POTG awards and really turned it up as the Orange got a couple wins.

RS FR C Ralph King (#1 Duke) -- 19-0, 6-0 ACC.

1/30/19 vs. #2 Maryland- feature game, highlighted above.
2/2/19 vs. Virginia Tech (W 76-32), 1 rebound.

Ralph had his best game so far against Maryland, then returned to do nothing against VA Tech. Duke held the Hokies to just 15 first half points.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 12-10, 8-3 Big South.

1/31/19 vs. VMI (64-55), DNP (Coaches Decision)
2/2/19 vs. Liberty (W 83-75), 7 points, 1 rebound.

Not sure why Benton didn't play against VMI, but he played a very solid 4 minutes against Liberty.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 7-12, 5-4 SWAC.

1/31/19 vs. Prairie View A&M (L 90-82), DNP (Coaches Decision).
2/2/19 vs. Texas Southern (L 68-63), no stats in 1 minute of play.

So Bam finally sees the court against Texas Southern, and you gotta wonder if he's regretting the decision to transfer from San Francisco. He just isn't getting the PT he though he would here at Grambling.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 13-7, 5-3 Big East.

1/30/19 vs. #25 Louisville (L 72-59), 3 rebounds, 1 assist.
2/2/19 vs. Villanova (W 88-70), 3 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal.

Not a great week for Ariel in his limited minutes, but he did pick it up against Villanova.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 9-10, 3-3 Conference USA.

1/30/19 vs. Kent State (L 71-67), 24 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists.
2/2/19 at Tulane (W 83-54), 30 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, (POTG).

Huge, huge week for Thomas, who set his career high in scoring and is really turning out to be a huge pick-up for the Thundering Herd.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- injured -- 13-6, 6-2 Big East.

1/30/19 vs. Marquette (W 76-62)
2/2/19 at #25 Louisville (L 63-53)

A split for the Panthers as all Qwikshot can do is watch.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#9 Michigan State) -- 17-3, 7-2 Big 10.

1/30/19 vs. #4 Illinois (L 95-59), 1 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block.

Probably the worst game of Jaybard's career so far, as the Spartans were completely outmatched in their lone game of the week.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- redshirting -- 12-7, 2-4 Big 12.

1/30/19 at #10 Kansas (L 86-53)
2/2/19 vs. Baylor (W 72-63)

The Wildcats split this week but would have liked a better effort against their in-state rival.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting -- 12-8, 5-4 Pac 10.

2/2/19 vs. Oregon State (W 67-56)

Just 1 game this week for the Ducks, and they beat their in-state rival. Path loved every minute of it from the bench as he enjoys his redshirt year.

No polls this time, only because I had this weekly report done earlier and I just copied and pasted it from notepad. I will do the polls and the bubble watch, as well as the spreadsheet of stats through Feb. 3, 2019, next time I load up FBCB.

Great to see Xavier at the top of the mid-major poll, and good to see UNLV getting a couple votes.

Now it's time for the first Bubble Watch of the 2018-2019 season. One of our FOFC teams is in it, so let's take a look:

Code:
OVERALL BUBBLE WATCH Team Record RPI vs. 1-50 vs. 51-100 vs. 101-200 vs. 200+ SOS Projected -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gonzaga 15-6 .546 (70) 4-2 1-2 4-1 6-1 146 In Creighton 16-7 .546 (69) 2-1 3-4 3-1 8-1 152 In Ohio State 14-7 .550 (65) 1-5 3-1 2-1 8-0 115 In Georgetown 13-7 .547 (67) 1-6 3-0 3-0 6-1 101 In Brigham Young 15-5 .545 (74) 1-4 1-0 6-1 7-0 201 In Western Kentucky 16-5 .545 (71) 0-2 1-2 3-0 12-1 255 In Alabama 14-6 .538 (88) 4-2 4-0 4-3 2-1 140 In Utah State 13-8 .555 (60) 0-1 3-4 5-2 5-1 80 In Pepperdine 17-5 .518 (125) 0-1 1-1 8-2 8-1 325 Out Southern Illinois 15-6 .535 (95) 1-2 1-2 5-1 8-1 225 Out Hampton 14-5 .535 (93) 1-2 0-2 5-0 8-1 206 Out Nebraska 13-7 .537 (89) 2-3 1-1 3-3 7-0 166 Out Oral Roberts 16-6 .512 (142) 0-0 0-2 6-4 10-0 319 Out Towson 14-6 .481 (211) 1-1 1-2 4-2 8-1 345 Out Loyola-IL 16-6 .522 (117) 1-1 1-0 2-3 12-2 297 Out

Remember these bubble watches are only for the NCAA Tournament, not the entire postseason. Georgetown has some work to do, 1-6 against the top 50 is not exactly getting it done, then again if you look, none of the 15 teams have stellar records against the top 50.

Now let's look at all the other teams.

Locks: Xavier, Maryland, Duke, Boston College, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Houston, Auburn.

The other 9 teams are projected out. And last but not least, here is a look at your FOFC Interactive Player Stats for the 2018-2019 season so far.

Feb. 4-10, 2019

1 feature game to talk to you about this week, and it's in the always tough ACC.

2/9/19- #8 Boston College (Eden James) @ #1 Duke (Ralph King) -- Neither team played much in the way of defense in the first half, as Duke led by 4 at the break. In the second half, the defense picked up and the Blue Devils stayed undefeated with a win going away.

Final Score: #1 Duke- 90, #8 Boston College- 74

Eden James (#8 Boston College)- 4 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 blocks, 1 steal.
Ralph King (#1 Duke)- 2 points, 3 rebounds.

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 13-10, 9-0 1st Patriot.

2/6/19 vs. Lehigh (W 77-75), 3 rebounds.
2/9/19 vs. Bucknell (W 81-71), 8 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal.

David battled foul trouble both games this week, and was completely ineffective against Lehigh, yet the Cadets remain perfect in the Patriot League.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (#12 Xavier) -- 19-3, 8-0 1st Atlantic 10.

2/6/19 at George Washington (W 70-66), 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal, (POTG).
2/9/19 vs. UMass (W 88-62), 11 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks, (Double-double).

Another good week for Jace, although he did struggle a bit on the boards at GW, but he did get another POTG award, and the Musketeers are still perfect in the A-10.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 16-7, 7-1 1st in West Division of SEC.

2/4/19 at #6 Texas (W 61-59), 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals.
2/9/19 vs. Ole Miss (W 75-67), 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal.

Randy continues to be nothing if not consistent, putting up stats in all the 3 major categories. His consistency is part of the reason the Tigers are having a great season.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State) -- 6-16, 5-6 T-6th Pac 10.

2/7/19 vs. Washington (L 70-61), 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist.
2/9/19 vs. Washington State (W 69-59), 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block.

Nothing spectacular about Ivan's performance, but when you consider he is still just a couple weeks removed from injury, he's doing quite well for himself. The Sun Devils break a 4 game losing streak with the win against Washington St.

JR PF Eden James (#8 Boston College) -- 18-5, 4-4 T-5th ACC.

2/6/19 vs. #25 N.C. State (L 90-81), 7 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 blocks, 2 steals.
2/9/19 at #1 Duke- feature game, highlighted above.

Not the greatest week scoring wise for Eden, as they need more out of him. He continued to be a beast on the boards though. The Eagles are slumping right now having lost 4 of their last 7.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#4 Maryland) -- 22-1, 7-1 T-2nd ACC.

2/6/19 vs. Virginia Tech (W 76-69), no key stats
2/9/19 at #3 North Carolina (W 69-62), 2 points, 1 rebound.

Chester continues to see limited minutes, and doesn't exactly take advantage of them, but the Terps have a nice week handing UNC their first loss.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (#16 Houston) -- 20-2, 8-0 1st Conference USA.

2/6/19 vs. South Florida (W 60-51), 8 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 2 steals.
2/9/19 vs. ECU (W 94-63), 18 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals.

Nice game for Al against ECU, then again everybody had a nice game against ECU. The Cougars continue to roll, staying undefeated in the C-USA.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 15-7, 7-2 T-2nd Mountain West.

2/6/19 at New Mexico (W 75-62), 24 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists.
2/9/19 at Air Force (W 78-70), 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, (fouled out).

Big game for Ricardo against New Mexico, but he battled foul trouble. It caught up with him at Air Force, as he is one of the few of our FOFC guys to foul out of a game, surprisingly. However, the Rebels got a couple good wins.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 7-14, 3-6 T-6th Big West.

2/7/19 at Cal Poly (L 75-68), DNP (Injury)
2/9/19 vs. UC Davis (W 66-54), 4 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal.

Rudy returned from injury against UC Davis, and help spark them to a victory, as the 49ers continue to struggle to find a rhythm.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#10 Syracuse) -- 19-3, 9-1 2nd Big East.

2/6/19 vs. Rutgers (W 84-53), 15 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, (Double-double).
2/9/19 at #17 UConn (W 65-48), 7 points, 6 rebounds.

Nice double-double for Jack against Rutgers, but not a strong game for him at UConn. No matter, as the Orange continue to win and win big.

RS FR C Ralph King (#1 Duke) -- 21-0, 8-0 1st ACC.

2/6/19 vs. Clemson (W 102-76), 1 rebound.
2/9/19 vs. #8 Boston College- feature game, highlighted above.

Bad week for Ralph, who saw declined minutes and didn't produce at all. The Blue Devils remain undefeated though.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 13-10, 9-3 2nd Big South.

2/9/19 at Radford (W 75-60), no key stats.

Just 1 game this week for Benton and the Panthers, and Benton logged 1 minute in that game. He'll be happy to tell you that the Panthers won the game though.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 7-14, 5-5 T-5th SWAC.

2/4/19 vs. Seattle (L 89-78), 2 rebounds.
2/9/19 at Jackson State (L 74-54), 8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals.

A bit of a breakout game for Bam this week at Jackson State, as he averaged a point a minute. Unfortunately the Tigers now have a 5 game losing streak.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 14-8, 6-4 T-6th Big East.

2/6/19 at St. Johns (L 83-73), no key stats.
2/9/19 at DePaul (W 72-57), 2 points, 1 rebound.

More limited minutes for Ariel, and he really didn't do much of note. The Hoyas lost a tough one at St. Johns, then rallied against DePaul.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 11-10, 5-3 5th Conference USA.

2/6/19 at UAB (W 88-84), 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal.
2/9/19 vs. South Florida (W 67-59), 12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.

A bit of a down week for Thomas, who has been rolling of late. Those 12 points against South Florida seem like chump change to him. The Thundering Herd got a couple big wins though.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- injured -- 15-6, 8-2 3rd Big East.

2/6/19 at West Virginia (W 71-62)
2/9/19 vs. Seton Hall (W 91-59)

Easy week for the Panthers as Qwikshot remains injured for the season.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#11 Michigan State) -- 18-3, 8-2 3rd Big 10.

2/9/19 vs. Northwestern (W 74-31), 7 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals.

Foul trouble hampered Jaybard in the Spartans' only game of the week. Sparty rolled, Jaybard had, by his standards, an awful game.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- redshirting -- 13-8, 3-5 T-8th Big 12.

2/6/19 vs. Colorado (W 81-57)
2/9/19 at Missouri (L 84-60)

A split for the Wildcats, but they got to get more competitive against the better teams in conference.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting -- 14-8, 7-4 T-3rd Pac 10.

2/7/19 vs. USC (W 73-68)
2/9/19 vs. #24 UCLA (W 70-36)

Crazy to see how easily the Ducks beat up on UCLA, a ranked team at the time.

This weeks overall bubble watch is filled with FOFC teams, 3 to be exact.

Not a lot of difference between Georgetown and Oregon, if the Ducks have another good week next week, they'll be on the other side of that bubble watch. UNLV is being hurt by a lousy SOS, of course most of that coming from not only being in a non-BCS conference, but also a pretty weak non-conference SOS.

The rest of the 16 teams are as follows:

Locks: Xavier, Maryland, Duke, Boston College, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Houston, Auburn

The other 7 schools are projected out at the current time.

Grambling should have played Bam earlier... might have resulted in some wins.

1 feature game this week, coming from Conference USA.

2/13/19- Marshall (Thomas Magnum) @ #15 Houston (Al Mighty) -- Not much of a game here, as Houston was in control early and often, as they shot 40% while Marshall shot just 31.4%. Even a 27-15 advantage from the line wasn't enough for the Thundering Herd, as the Cougars made 12 three pointers and outrebounded Marshall 52-33, running away with this one.

Final Score: #15 Houston- 83, Marshall- 64

Thomas Magnum (Marshall)- 13 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists.
Al Mighty (#15 Houston)- 8 points, 3 rebounds.

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 14-11, 10-1 1st Patriot.

2/13/19 at Holy Cross (L 68-60), 4 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, (Fouled Out)
2/16/19 at Colgate (W 79-75), 1 point, 1 rebound, 1 block, 1 steal.

Not the best week for David who battled foul trouble in both games, fouling out at Holy Cross and having 4 at Colgate. The Cadets finally lose a conference game, but are still in control of the conference race.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (#10 Xavier) -- 21-3, 10-0 1st Atlantic 10.

2/13/19 vs. Charlotte (W 72-60), 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal.
2/16/19 at Dayton (W 91-75), 16 points, 20 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 blocks, (Double-double), (POTG).

What a game at Dayton for Jace, who was just 3 assists shy of a triple-double, and the 20 rebounds is a season and career high. The Musketeers remain perfect in A-10 play.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 16-9, 7-3 T-1st in West Division of SEC.

2/12/19 at LSU (L 65-59), 8 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals.
2/16/19 vs. #16 Mississippi State (L 85-78), 17 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal.

Randy did his part to make sure the Tigers stayed in both their games this week, although both were losses, but close losses.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State) -- 8-16, 6-6 5th Pac 10.

2/14/19 vs. Cal St. Bakersfield (W 78-69), 12 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal.
2/16/19 vs. #14 Arizona (W 85-82, OT), 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 2 steals.

Ivan continues to improve in his junior year, and the Sun Devils have a solid week, coming from behind in both wins. They have now swept Arizona on the season.

JR PF Eden James (#8 Boston College) -- 20-5, 6-4 5th ACC.

2/13/19 at Virginia Tech (W 87-61), 4 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 blocks.
2/16/19 at Wake Forest (W 71-61), 7 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 blocks, 2 steals.

Eden didn't particularly excel in any stats this week, but he had a very solid week, and continues to be a force on defense. The Eagles get a couple badly needed wins this week.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#4 Maryland) -- 24-1, 9-1 2nd ACC.

2/13/19 vs. Clemson (W 84-64), 7 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal.
2/16/19 at Virginia (W 74-50), 3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block.

Chester played a career high 21 minutes at Virginia, thanks to an injury from a teammate, but he's not complaining. Now, he needs to take advantage of the minutes, as the Terps continue to roll.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (#15 Houston) -- 22-2, 10-0 1st Conference USA.

2/13/19 vs. Marshall- feature game, highlighted above.
2/16/19 vs. Kent State (W 85-59), 4 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist.

Foul trouble hampered big Al this week, but no matter, the Cougars kept winning and winning and winning.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 16-8, 8-3 3rd Mountain West.

2/13/19 vs. San Diego State (L 64-51), 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal.
2/16/19 at Wyoming (W 59-46), 15 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block, 1 steal.

Not a bad week for Ricardo, who had a couple nice games. The Rebels split their games this week though.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 9-14, 4-6 6th Big West.

2/14/19 vs. Pacific (W 62-54), 2 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.
2/16/19 at Cal St. Bakersfield (W 56-43), 10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.

Decent week for Rudy coming back from injury still, as he has worked his butt off defensively to stay out of foul trouble, and the 49ers win 2 games this week.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#9 Syracuse) -- 20-4, 10-2 2nd Big East.

2/13/19 at Seton Hall (W 90-67), 9 points, 2 assists, 1 steal.
2/16/19 at Villanova (L 70-55), 7 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist.

Not a great week for Jack, but consistent. The Orange really laid an egg at Villanova though.

RS FR C Ralph King (#1 Duke) -- 23-0, 10-0 1st ACC.

2/13/19 at Miami (W 87-86), 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block.
2/16/19 vs. Florida State (W 87-61), 4 points, 2 rebounds.

Ralph made the most of his limited minutes, including scoring the game winning basket against Miami to keep the Blue Devils undefeated.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 14-11, 10-4 T-2nd Big South.

2/14/19 at UNC Asheville (L 86-72), no key stats.
2/16/19 at Gardner Webb (W 88-56), DNP (Coaches Decision).

Benton saw 1 minute of action this week as the Panthers split.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 9-14, 7-5 4th SWAC.

2/14/19 at Arkansas-Pine Bluff (W 80-58), DNP (Coaches Decision)
2/16/19 at Mississippi Valley State (W 69-61), DNP (Coaches Decision)

It was back to the bench for 2 games this week for Bam, but don't like now, the Tigers are making some noise in the SWAC.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 16-8, 8-4 6th Big East.

2/13/19 vs. #11 Cincinnati (W 69-66), 3 rebounds, 1 assist.
2/16/19 vs. #25 UConn (W 87-81), 1 rebound.

Not much in the way of PT for Ariel this week, but hey, considering the Hoyas had 2 games against ranked teams, it's not surprising. Speaking of which, what a week for G-Town, who knocked off previously unbeaten Cincy.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 12-11, 6-4 T-3rd Conference USA.

2/13/19 at #15 Houston- feature game, highlighted above.
2/16/19 at Southern Miss (W 70-58), 18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists.

Not a bad week for Thomas, who had a nice game to help the Thundering Herd beat Southern Miss. Hard to beat Houston though, they are tough.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- injured -- 16-7, 9-3 T-3rd Big East.

2/13/19 at Providence (L 66-53)
2/16/19 vs. Memphis (W 83-53)

The Panthers would really like that game at Providence back, but I'm sure Qwikshot would like this whole season back. At least he was able to use a medical redshirt this season.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#13 Michigan State) -- 20-3, 10-2 T-2nd Big 10.

2/13/19 at #2 Illinois (W 79-77), 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal.
2/16/19 vs. Purdue (W 71-52), DNP (Injured)

So the Spartans got revenge in a win at Illinois, but it came at a huge cost. They'll play the rest of the season without their star freshman Jaybard, who tore a quad running after a loose ball. Unfortunately, Jaybard doesn't qualify for a medical redshirt and will have to watch the rest of this season from the bench.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- redshirting -- 13-10, 3-7 10th Big 12.

2/13/19 vs. #17 Oklahoma State (L 81-63)
2/16/19 at Texas A&M (L 70-68)

A close one, but the Wildcats continue to suck it up in the Big 12 this season.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting -- 15-9, 8-5 T-3rd Pac 12.

2/14/19 at Washington (W 90-69)
2/16/19 at Washington State (L 72-63)

Gotta have those wins against .500 teams if you're on the bubble. Tough loss.

Even after the split this week, the Ducks seem to have gained some ground and moved up a bit. At this point, they just need to keep winning. Another quality win or 2 would go a long ways though.

As for the other 18 teams:

Locks: Xavier, Maryland, Duke, Boston College, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Michigan State, Houston, Auburn.

All the other teams are projected out.

A big week for feature games, as we've got 3 of them: 1 in the ACC and 1 in the Pac 10, and 1 in the Big East. Let's start with the Pac 10 game.

2/21/19- Arizona State (Ivan Carrillo @ Oregon (Path Twelve) -- The Sun Devils come into this game fighting for their postseason lives, and they played like a team with something to prove. While ASU shot 50% from the field, they held the Ducks to just 33.3% shooting. That proved to be the difference as the Sun Devils rolled in this one.

Final Score: Arizona State- 74, Oregon- 58

Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State)- 10 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, (Double-double)
Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting this year.

Now let's look at the ACC game.

2/23/19- #2 Maryland (Chester Smith) @ #10 Boston College (Eden James) -- This one will be an instant classic, that is if you like run and gun styles. The 2 teams combined took 125 field goal attempts, with Maryland having 75 of them! Unfortunately their shooting percentage was only 32%, and they couldn't overcome that, as the Eagles hand the Terps their 2nd loss of the season.

Final Score: #10 Boston College- 70, #2 Maryland- 67

Chester Smith (#2 Maryland)- no key stats
Eden James (#10 Boston College)- 4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 7 blocks.

And our final feature game comes from the Big East.

2/23/19- Georgetown (Ariel Ginsberg) @ #13 Syracuse (Jack Dawkins) -- This one wasn't much of a game, as the Orange jumped out to an 18 point halftime lead and never looked back as they forced 17 turnovers. Funny thing is, stat wise the Hoyas didn't play that bad, but man is Syracuse strong. They rolled to victory.

Final Score: #13 Syracuse- 84, Georgetown- 60

Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown)- 4 points, 6 rebounds.
Jack Dawkins (#13 Syracuse)- 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists.

Alright, now that those are out of the way, let's get to the rest of the games.

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 15-12, 10-2 1st Patriot.

2/18/19 vs. Harvard (W 73-64), 5 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist.
2/20/19 vs. New Hampshire (L 63-60), 4 rebounds, 1 block, (Fouled out).

Not the best week for David, who once again battled foul trouble. If he had managed to stay in the game against New Hampshire, the result might have been different. As it stands, the Cadets just need to win 1 of their 2 conference games next week to clinch the Patriot regular season title.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (#9 Xavier) -- 22-4, 11-1 1st Atlantic 10.

2/20/19 at Fordham (W 71-57), 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks, (POTG).
2/23/19 vs. Richmond (L 64-45), 6 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks, 1 steal.

Another POTG award for Jace, and he followed that up with a subpar effort against Richmond. Then again, the Musketeers as a team didn't show up against Richmond, suffering their first A-10 loss of the season.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 17-10, 8-4 T-1st in West Division of SEC.

2/19/19 at Arkansas (W 87-75), 10 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals, (Double-double).
2/23/19 vs. Alabama (L 96-81), 10 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists, 1 steal, (Double-double).

What a week for Randy, who had 2 double-doubles and averaged 11 assists, 10 points, and 5 rebounds a game. No POTG award, but he would gladly trade one of those in for a few more wins for the Tigers.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State) -- 10-16, 8-6 T-3rd Pac 10.

2/21/19 at Oregon- feature game, highlighted above.
2/23/19 at Oregon State (W 69-58), 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists.

Good week for the Sun Devils with a couple wins. Ivan had a nice game at Oregon, but struggled a bit at Oregon State.

JR PF Eden James (#10 Boston College) -- 22-5, 8-4 T-4th ACC.

2/20/19 vs. Georgia Tech (W 83-53), 6 points, 10 rebounds, 4 blocks, 1 steal.
2/23/19 vs. #2 Maryland- feature game, highlighted above.

Eden just kind of went through the motions this week, as he didn't have his best week stat wise. But, the Eagles got 2 big wins and are now back in the hunt for the ACC title.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#2 Maryland) -- 25-2, 10-2 2nd ACC.

2/20/19 vs. Florida State (W 71-70), 2 points.
2/23/19 at #10 Boston College- feature game, highlighted above.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (#14 Houston) -- 23-3, 11-1 1st Conference USA.

2/20/19 vs. UTEP (W 84-77), 7 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists.
2/23/19 at SMU (L 79-69), 7 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists.

Consistency for Al, but we all know he can put up better numbers, as the Cougars suffer their first conference loss.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 17-8, 9-3 3rd Mountain West.

2/20/19 vs. TCU (W 56-46), 12 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, (Double-double).

Nice job for Ricardo in the Rebels' only game of the week, a solid win.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 10-15, 5-7 5th Big West.

2/19/19 at Cal St. Northridge (L 59-43), 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals.
2/21/19 at Cal St. Fullerton (W 85-76), 20 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.

A crying shame that Rudy didn't get the POTG at Fullerton, he should have. Those are the kind of performances the 49ers need if they are going to be successful.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#13 Syracuse) -- 22-4, 12-2 2nd Big East.

2/20/19 vs. DePaul (W 96-62), 20 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, (Double-double).
2/23/19 vs. Georgetown- feature game, highlighted above.

Good week for Jack, who had a solid game against DePaul but a little letdown against Georgetown. No matter, the Orange are back to their winning ways.

RS FR C Ralph King (#1 Duke) -- 25-0, 12-0 1st ACC.

2/20/19 at #7 North Carolina (W 73-56), 1 rebound.
2/23/19 at Virginia (W 72-60), DNP (Coaches Decision)

Limited minutes for Ralph again, but the Blue Devils stay undefeated.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 16-11, 12-4 2nd Big South.

2/21/19 vs. USC Upstate (W 75-71), DNP (Coaches Decision)
2/23/19 vs. Presbyterian (W 80-68), DNP (Coaches Decision)

Another week of no action for Benton, but the Panthers get a couple solid wins.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 11-14, 9-5 2nd SWAC.

2/21/19 vs. Alabama State (W 81-66), DNP (Coaches Decision)
2/23/19 vs. Alabama A&M (W 72-68, OT), DNP (Coaches Decision)

No action for Bam, but 2 solid wins for the Tigers.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 16-10, 8-6 6th Big East.

2/20/19 at Notre Dame (L 75-64), no key stats.
2/23/19 at #13 Syracuse- feature game, highlighted above.

Ariel rode the pine most of the week, did get some action against Notre Dame, but the Hoyas after winning 3 in a row lose both this week.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 13-12, 7-5 5th Conference USA.

2/20/19 vs. Tulsa (L 69-33), 4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals.
2/23/19 vs. Tulane (W 80-58), 18 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal.

A good recovery for both Thomas and the Thundering Herd after that laugher against Tulsa. Way to salvage the week.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- injured -- 17-8, 10-4 5th Big East.

2/20/19 at UConn (W 68-62)
2/23/19 at Rutgers (L 81-74)

Ooh, brutal loss at Rutgers, not the kind of games you need to be losing in the midst of a conference race.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#8 Michigan State)- injured -- 22-3, 12-2 2nd Big 10.

2/20/19 at Michigan (W 83-48)
2/23/19 at Iowa (W 111-75)

The Spartans haven't lost a beat without Jaybard in the lineup, they continue to roll.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- redshirting -- 14-11, 4-8 T-9th Big 12.

2/20/19 at Colorado (W 78-73)
2/23/19 vs. Iowa State (L 76-74)

Very close to a 2-0 week for the Wildcats, but they let one slip away.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- redshirting -- 15-11, 8-7 T-5th Pac 10.

2/21/19 vs. Arizona State- feature game, highlighted above.
2/23/19 vs. #18 Arizona (L 58-57).

Almost a big win for the Ducks, but a last second shot ended those chances, as Oregon has lost 3 in a row.

1 of our teams is in the overall bubble watch, let's take a look:

The Hoyas are now on the bubble, as opposed to being a lock. That is thanks to 2 blowout losses this week. They are still in good shape though with an RPI and SOS of 29.

As far as the other schools, there are no changes from last week. Every team that was a lock last week is still a lock, and all the other teams are still projected out.

I will be changing up the format a little bit for this next season, and in an effort to kind of get going with next season, I've decide to just go stats only for the next few game weeks, leaving the short write-ups after each player alone. With that said, let me get the next week taken care of. I almost had it done, but I had it opened up in notepad and somehow lost it.

It's time to look at the overall bubble watch for the week, and 3 of our teams are in it.

Code:
Team Record RPI vs. 1-50 vs. 51-100 vs. 101-200 vs. 200+ SOS Projected -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UCLA 17-11 .581 (29) 5-6 5-3 3-1 4-1 20 In Southern California 17-11 .550 (60) 6-5 4-2 4-3 3-1 86 In Connecticut 17-11 .571 (34) 3-8 4-2 7-1 3-0 26 In UC Irvine 20-7 .550 (61) 0-1 3-2 8-2 9-2 201 In Georgetown 17-11 .565 (41) 3-7 2-2 7-2 5-0 48 In Drexel 19-10 .554 (57) 1-4 4-2 3-2 11-2 100 In Santa Clara 20-10 .558 (48) 0-2 2-3 8-3 10-2 109 In Auburn 17-12 .595 (22) 6-7 2-3 4-2 5-0 6 In Creighton 21-9 .537 (80) 2-1 3-6 1-2 15-0 199 Out George Mason 18-11 .546 (69) 1-3 4-1 3-1 10-6 127 Out Missouri State 19-10 .542 (74) 0-3 3-4 3-3 13-0 155 Out Western Kentucky 21-8 .542 (72) 0-2 1-3 5-1 15-2 215 Out South Alabama 20-10 .543 (71) 1-3 2-1 5-3 12-3 194 Out Utah State 17-12 .549 (62) 1-4 4-4 7-3 5-1 76 Out UNLV 19-8 .537 (81) 2-3 1-2 9-3 7-0 200 Out

Georgetown and Auburn are hanging in by a thread, while UNLV is being hurt by a terrible strength of schedule. On the flip side, strength of schedule might be the only reason Auburn is still projected In.

As for the other teams, no changes. All the locks last week are still locks, everybody else is projected out.

The reason I decided to forego the little recaps after every players stats is twofold. First I wanted to get this season done by the end of the month, and with limited time as this being my birthday weekend, I'll have to try and really work on it tomorrow as well as Monday of next week.

Also, the new features I'm including starting next season are an FOFC Player of the Week and FOFC Performance of the Week. With those, I won't really need to do the recaps, although if someone gets hurt or something, I might put a note.

So what do you guys think? Can you do without the recaps? Or do you like seeing that 1 or 2 sentences after your players stats for the week?

3/7/19 vs. Alcorn State (W 85-69), no key stats.
3/9/19 vs. Southern (W 80-79, OT), no key stats.

Although he didn't play much, I really think the appearance of Bam in the second semester led the Tigers to playing better basketball. They are on an 8 game winning streak, they've won the SWAC regular season, will be the top seed in the SWAC Tournament, and with that, should have clinched an auto bid into the NIT.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 17-13, 9-9 T-7th Big East.

3/6/19 at Pittsburgh- feature game, highlighted above.
3/9/19 vs. West Virginia (L 81-58), 4 points, 3 rebounds.

The Hoyas slump at the end of the regular season and lose the 7th place tiebreaker. They'll be the 8th seed in the Big East Tournament.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 14-15, 8-8 T-5th Conference USA.

3/6/19 at SMU (L 66-53), 3 points, 2 assists, 1 steal.
3/9/19 at ECU (L 68-61), 30 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist.

The Thundering Herd lose the 3 team tiebreaker for 5th place and will instead be the 7th seed in the C-USA Tournament.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh) - injured -- 19-10, 12-6 5th Big East.

3/6/19 vs. Georgetown- feature game, highlighted above.
3/9/19 vs. St. Johns (L 74-52)

The Panthers will be the 5th seed in the Big East Tournament.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#10 Michigan State) - injured -- 25-4, 15-3 2nd Big 10.

3/6/19 vs. Ohio State (W 82-66)
3/9/19 vs. Wisconsin (L 108-100)

The Spartans will be the 2nd seed in the Big 10 Tournament.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State) - redshirting -- 15-14, 5-11 9th Big 12.

3/6/19 vs. #9 Kansas (L 67-45)
3/9/19 at Texas Tech (L 88-81)

The Wildcats will be the 9th seed in the Big 12 Tournament.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon) - redshirting -- 16-13, 9-9 7th Pac 10.

3/7/19 at California (L 89-80)
3/9/19 at #21 Stanford (L 68-56)

The Ducks will be the 7th seed in the Pac 10 Tournament.

I will be posting the polls and bubble watch in a separate post as I am on my way to work right now.

Scratch the polls and bubble watch for the previous week, I almost had the post done and it screwed up on me, so we'll go right into the final week of the season.

March 11-17, 2019

2 feature games this week, 1 in the Big East and 1 in the ACC. First the Big East.

3/14/19- Big East Quarterfinals- (8) Georgetown (Ariel Ginsberg) vs. (1) #9 Syracuse (Jack Dawkins)

Final Score: #9 Syracuse- 85, Georgetown- 71

Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown)- 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal.
Jack Dawkins (#9 Syracuse)- 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists.

And now the ACC.

3/16/19- ACC Semifinals- (3) #7 Boston College (Eden James) vs. (2) #4 Maryland (Chester Smith)

Final Score: #4 Maryland- 107, #7 Boston College- 72

Eden James (#7 Boston College)- 2 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks.
Chester Smith (#4 Maryland)- 5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal.

And now for all the other teams.

SR C David Ginsberg (Army) -- 16-14, 11-3 Patriot.

No games this week.

RS JR C Jace Hunter (#13 Xavier) -- 25-6, 14-2 Atlantic 10.

3/15/19- Atlantic 10 Quarterfinals vs. (11) Rhode Island (L 79-76), 8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal.

Tough loss that might cost the Musketeers a seed point or 2, but they are safely dancing.

RS JR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) -- 20-13, 10-6 SEC.

3/15/19- SEC Quarterfinals vs. (12) LSU (W 86-68), 5 points, 1 rebound, 8 assists.
3/16/19- SEC Semifinals vs. (1) #5 Florida (L 71-64), 7 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists.

Gallant effort by the Tigers, but is it enough to get into the NCAA Tournament? Rarely does a P5 team with 20 wins get left out.

RS JR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State) -- 10-21, 8-10 Pac 10.

3/13/19- Pac 10 First Round vs. (9) Washington (L 77-70), 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block.

Rough end to the season for the Sun Devils, as they will finish their season with a 10-21 record, likely ending the reign for coach Herb Sendek.

JR PF Eden James (#7 Boston College) -- 26-7, 11-5 ACC.

3/14/19- ACC Quarterfinals vs. (11) Virginia (W 87-65), 9 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal.
3/15/19- ACC Quarterfinals vs. (2) #4 Maryland- feature game, highlighted above.

A blowout to end their time in the conference tournament, but the Eagles will be dancing.

RS SO SF Chester Smith (#4 Maryland) -- 30-4, 13-3 ACC.

3/15/19- ACC Quarterfinals vs. (7) Wake Forest (W 85-60), 1 rebound, 1 assist.
3/16/19- ACC Semifinals vs. (3) #7 Boston College- feature game, highlighted above.
3/17/19- ACC Championship vs. (5) #10 North Carolina (L 80-55), 4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist.

Tough loss in the ACC Championship in a game that was only a 3 point differential at halftime. No matter, the Terps will be dancing, but that ACC Title Game loss may have cost them a #1 seed.

RS SO PG Al Mighty (#14 Houston) -- 28-4, 15-1 Conference USA.

3/14/19- C-USA Quarterfinals vs. (9) Southern Miss (W 70-64), 18 points, 3 rebounds.
3/15/19- C-USA Semifinals vs. (4) SMU (L 68-45), 3 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal.

Not a way to end the C-USA Tourney for the Cougars, but they are still safely in the NCAA Tourney.

RS SO SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) -- 23-9, 13-3 Mountain West.

3/14/19- Mountain West Quarterfinals vs. (7) TCU (W 64-56), 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal.
3/15/19- Mountain West Semifinals vs. (3) BYU (W 82-78), 24 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 2 steals, (POTG).
3/16/19- Mountain West Championship vs. (1) #19 Utah (L 66-61), 8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block.

Close, but no cigar in the MWC title game. If the Rebels played in a P5 conference, that 23 wins would be more than enough to get them dancing. It still should be, I think they are in.

SO C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State) -- 11-19, 6-10 Big West.

3/13/19- Big West First Round vs. (6) Pacific (L 82-74, OT), 8 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.

Just not enough in the tank for the 49ers, who see their season end with an 11-19 record.

RS FR SF Jack Dawkins (#9 Syracuse) -- 28-5, 15-3 Big East.

3/14/19- Big East Semifinals vs. (8) Georgetown- feature game, highlighted above.
3/15/19- Big East Semifinals vs. (4) #23 Louisville (W 75-58), 11 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals.
3/16/19- Big East Championship vs. (6) Villanova (W 91-81), 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal.

The first of our FOFC teams to win a conference tournament this season, now the question is, will that be enough to earn a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament? I say yes. 3rd ranked conference in the nation, and they won that conference tournament? They are a #1 seed, gotta be.

RS FR C Ralph King (#1 Duke) -- 30-1, 16-0 ACC.

3/15/19- ACC Quarterfinals vs. (8) Virginia Tech (W 102-75), 1 point, 3 rebounds, 1 assist.
3/16/19- ACC Semifinals vs. (5) #10 North Carolina (L 82-74), 4 points, 3 rebounds.

Wow! The Blue Devils lose in the ACC Semifinals, their first loss of the season. Being that is their first loss, they have to be a lock for the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

RS FR PG Benton Gale (High Point) -- 17-13, 13-5 Big South.

No games this week.

RS FR PF Bam Jamison (Grambling) -- 17-15, 13-5 SWAC.

3/14/19- SWAC Quarterfinals vs. (8) Jackson State (W 80-71), DNP (Coaches Decision)
3/15/19- SWAC Semifinals vs. (4) Alabama A&M (W 76-64), DNP (Coaches Decision)
3/16/19- SWAC Championship vs. (3) Mississippi Valley State (L 60-48), no key stats.

So the Tigers see their 10 game win streak end in the SWAC title game, but winning the regular season title should get them an auto bid to the NIT. I fully expect them to be a 9 or 10 seed.

FR C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown) -- 18-14, 9-9 Big East.

3/12/19- Big East Second Round vs. (9) UConn (W 80-71), 1 rebound, 1 assist.
3/13/19- Big East Quarterfinals vs. (1) #9 Syracuse- feature game, highlighted above.

Even with the 18-14 record, the Hoyas have such a good RPI that they may make the NIT, but more than likely they'll be CBI bound.

FR SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall) -- 15-16, 8-8 Conference USA.

3/13/19- Conference USA First Round vs. (10) UTEP (W 80-70), 33 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal, (POTG).
3/14/19- Conference USA Quarterfinals vs. (2) UAB (L 60-54), 19 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal.

Gallant effort by the Thundering Herd, but no such luck. They needed a couple more wins and I'd bet their season is over.

FR SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh) - injured -- 20-11, 12-6 Big East.

3/13/19- Big East Second Round vs. (12) St. Johns (W 63-54)
3/14/19- Big East Quarterfinals vs. (4) # 23 Louisville (L 70-49)

Well the Panthers got to 20 wins, but their RPI is amazing. Even with 11 losses, I expect them to be a fairly high seed in the NCAA Tourney.

FR SG Jaybard Riley (#11 Michigan State) - injured -- 27-5, 15-3 Big 10.

3/15/19- Big 10 Quarterfinals vs. (7) Minnesota (W 62-42)
3/16/19- Big 10 Semifinals vs. (3) #25 Indiana (W 54-48)
3/17/19- Big 10 Championship vs. (1) #3 Illinois (L 77-67)

If Jaybard were healthy, maybe he makes a difference. As it stands, the Spartans fall short, but will definitely be dancing.

FR PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State) - redshirting -- 16-15, 5-11 Big 12.

3/13/19- Big 12 First Round vs. (8) Texas Tech (W 68-62)
3/14/19- Big 12 Quarterfinals vs. (1) #6 Texas (L 63-50)

Although the Wildcats had a winning record, they also were just 5-11 in conference play. I guess they could steal a CIT bid, but I seriously doubt it.

FR PF Path Twelve (Oregon) - redshirting -- 16-14, 9-9 Pac 10.

3/13/19- Pac 10 First Round vs. (10) Oregon State (L 62-53)

Well, so much for the Ducks. Mighty they weren't. A win or 2 might have gave them a chance at the postseason. They could still sneak in, but I doubt it.

Here are the final polls before the postseason tournaments start.

See, what happened was that Bam Jamison was the man in practice. He was showing his teammates a thing or two on the court, embarrassing them all with his mad skillz. And, you know, Bam is an honest guy, and he let them know he was better than all of them. But the players and coaches wanted nothing to do with that, so they benched him and didn't play him much. But with Bam pushing them in practice, Grambling became a better team and made their way to the NIT.

At least, that's my theory anyway. Still haven't come up with a theory for the academic suspension and all.

So we've got 13 of our 19 FOFC coaches playing postseason ball, and let's get to it.

Two feature games to tell you about, and let's start with it.

3/30/19- NCAA Elite Eight- (2) Syracuse (Jack Dawkins) vs. (1) Maryland (Chester Smith -- This was as good of an elite eight game as you would expect, as only 3 points separated the 2 teams.

There will be some changes next season, as David Ginsberg is a senior and will be gone. However, I will be getting FBPB very soon, within the week, because 2 of our juniors have made themselves eligible for the draft. Both Jace Hunter and Eden James are going pro, so we lose 3 players next season and gain 5, or 6, I can't remember. As I said earlier, season wrap-up coming as soon as I get FBPB going and correlated with FBCB.

It may be a few days before I get to season 6. I've purchased Fast Break Pro Basketball so I can import the draft classes since we've got 3 of our players entering the draft. However, I can't figure out how to do the actual import from the college to the pro game. And, getting a response at the GreyDog forums is next to impossible these days.

I know that David Corporal isn't concerned about his player David Ginsberg, and StLee hasn't been on the forums for months, so I will still go ahead and follow his player Eden James.

How about you Travis? Would you like to follow Jace Hunter's pro career? Or were you only concerned about his college career?

ok, my plan is, once I figure it out, to import the draft classes from FBCB and FBPB. I will probably follow all of our FOFC players myself, at least the ones that play pro ball, but for those of the readers that are interested in following their player, I'll report on them every so often.

And of course for the ones that aren't interested, I'll just keep tabs on them myself in case people change their minds, as I'm doing this as much for you guys as I am for myself. And boy am I enjoying it.

Good to hear, this is always a fun read, even if Xavier seems to stumble right when they could take a nice step forward.

Glad you enjoy writing it just as much as we enjoy reading it!

Looking forward to seeing how Jaybard Riley comes back from injury next season.

Of the 3 players that were entering the draft, DavidCorperial (David Ginsberg) wasn't concerned about following his player in the pros, StLee (Eden James) hasn't been on the forums in a couple months, and I've spoke with Travis (Jace Hunter) and have manually edited Jace to come back for his senior season. The reason I've done this is because I'm still toying with the demo version of FBPB, and I'm still trying to figure out how to get draft classes from FBCB imported into FBPB. I for the life of me haven't figured it out yet. So this project moves on without the pro game for now, hence the reason I edited Jace Hunter to come back, as I'm hoping as long as it takes for me to get through a season, by the time Season 6 is complete, I'll have the full version of FBPB up and running and have figured out how to import draft classes.

2018-2019 Season Wrap-Up

Next Years Recruits

We've got 5 recruits coming into their freshman seasons in season 6, and let's take a look how their teams fared.

SG Cameron Blodgett - Cameron is headed to Duke, and will join fellow FOFCer Ralph King. We know how Duke finished up.

PF Erik Flamebeard - Erik is headed to UCLA, which finished 22-13 overall and 11-7 in the Pac 10. They lost in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.

C Tim Sheppard - Tim signed with Mississippi State, which finished 24-9 overall and 10-6 in the SEC. They also lost in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.

PF Jawouk Bafou - Jawouk will be joining Ariel Ginsberg at Georgetown, and we know how they finished up.

PG Jackson Pace - Jackson is headed to Purdue, and they finished 13-18 overall and 6-12 in the Big 10 with no postseason.

Season Awards

SG Jaybard Riley - Despite missing the last few games of the season, Jaybard did enough to make the NCAA All-Freshman Team, as well as the Big 10 All Freshman Team. On top of that, he was Big 10 Freshman of the Year. Congrats to him.

PF Eden James - Eden finished his college career by making the All-NCAA 3rd Team, as well as the ACC 1st Team.

C Jace Hunter - Jace made the Atlantic 10 1st Team and will be looking for more as he embraces his senior season.

SF Jack Dawkins - Jack made the Big East All-Freshman Team.

SG Thomas Magnum - Thomas was the Conference USA Freshman of the Year and of course also made the C-USA All-Freshman Team.

C David Ginsberg - David made the Patriot 1st Team at the PF spot. Nice way to finish his college career.

6 of our 19 FOFCers got some postseason awards, and Jack, Thomas, and Jace will be back to improve on those awards.

Conference Movement

Both of the moves in the offseason affect 2 of our FOFC players.

North Florida has been promoted to the Big South, while Liberty was kicked out of the conference. This affects Benton Gale over at High Point.

Northeastern has been promoted to the Atlantic 10, while Fordham has been booted. This of course affects Jace Hunter at Xavier.

Coach Movement

Xavier - Jace will be disappointed, as Chris Mack has been hired by Mississippi State. An interesting deal, as Coach Mack will now be coaching Tim Sheppard. In his place, the Musketeers hired Kermit Davis from Middle Tennessee (remember, the FOFC players get the real life coaches from a team. In real life, Kermit Davis coaches at Middle Tennessee, so now in this, he'll coach at Xavier.)

This is the only coaching change that we had with our FOFCers, so fortunately I won't have to do a lot of editing. I'm still shocked that Coach K over at Duke didn't retire, nor did Jim Boeheim over at Syracuse. Herb Sendek is still at Arizona State, surprisingly he hasn't been fired yet. Boston College changed coaches, but that doesn't matter to me as Eden James is gone. So as soon as I get the time to turn all the coaches back to human, and of course change UCLA and Purdue's coaches, we'll get season 6 going. Hopefully if not tomorrow, then Tuesday.
