OS review is up. Sounds like some improvement, though author does note that last year's debacle probably enhances his good feelings about this version.

I will be getting this when I get my new laptop. Looking forward to it. The PC review I read said that the PC version is actually the best version of this year's game (if you have the resources, which my new laptop will).

I don't know about the rest of you, but if the over/under of number of posts it was going to take MBBF to mention Bill Abner was at 62, I would have taken the under.

I'm stunned...unlike this parrot...who is definitely not stunned.

I'm definitely NOT!

Still baffles me that he takes time out of his day to read anything about MLB 2k10, but I'm sure his eyes light up when he reads things that are wrong.

There is a patch in the works though and I think submitted to microsoft.

I've posted a review that was generally positive and the comments from Abner were generally positive. You sure you're not reading the 2K9 thread?

Yeah I think you have been pretty fair lately. I did have you on my ignore list for a while, way back when, but now you're not so bad.

My post wasn't a slight towards you at all, which I think is how Mizzou took it, but just a joke that in the past you use to base your opinions on games (that you may or may not have played) on Bill Abners reviews.

My issue is he will never pick up a copy since he has a ps3 and The Show.. so why post anything? Is he just being nice and keeping us up to date on the talk from someone like Bill?

I guess I just don't get it...

So are they not doing a PC patch? Is this a NBA2k10 situation all over again?

Maybe I won't buy it. Sigh.

I could actually get it just for the graphics, which would help for the rather large promotion/relegation league I'm starting with OOTPXI at TSW. /plug

Pitched a shutout with Adam Wainwright last night.. quite satisfying.

Matt Holliday hit a 2 run HR and added another RBI as we beat the Red Sox 4-0.

The hit variery is outstanding!

Looks like the patch should be out by tomorrow morning sometime for 360 owners. Pretty big fix list. MLB 2K10 Patch Notes - 360 to be released 3/16 before 5 AM PST per MS - 2K Sports Forums Pretty excited. Says the next patch should be out by end of April..

Check swings and pitcher fatigue issue will be fixed in tomorrow's patch. No more playing my player and seeing the opposing starting pitcher have 140 pitches against me.

I've been thinking about buying this. My only concern is that the fielding issues I've read about (rocket arms in the outfield and no hits getting through the infield) aren't addressed in this first patch. Perhaps I should just wait until after the second patch comes out next month, but I'd really like to play some baseball.

i just DLed the game last night - by the time it was priced down and downloaded it was like 1:30am so I only got to play like 6 innings. I think I get hitting (although working the left and right sticks together i'll have to get used to). I can hit balls out to the warning track and get basehits, so that's okay.

but for fuck's sake can someone explain how pitching works? Say I'm going to throw a fastball so it's "down then up." I select my pitch, select the target spot, then push the right stick down and move it smoothly up? How come when I do that sometimes I get the yellow circle that narrows in (which is a positive - those seem to be close to "perfect pitches") and sometimes I get "bad gesture?" Even on something as simple as a fastball. Don't get me started on a 12-6 curveball - I only managed to throw like 2-3 of those with good gestures last night.

The manual isn't really a help (surprise surprise), so I'm hoping some of my fellow players can be. Otherwise I guess I can turn on classic hitting and pitching.

Gamestop has the digital download for $2.99, for Opening Day.

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/Prod...oduct_id=76509

Have this for the 360, but can't hurt to pick it up for the PC too, especially just for all the work the modders do on the game.

Yep. Picked it up last night. If someone's gonna pick it up, they should help 21c out and get one for him and gift it to him since he can't DL it from Australia.

I'm a little bummed that Steam didn't match the deal, but I went ahead and got it from Gamestop. Heck, for only 3 bucks, I may get it later from Steam when it sells for $15 or less.

I hope this deal is still live when I get home from work in an hour and a half. I am making the assumption that it'll still be live, but you know what happens when you make an assumption.

Edit: Or if you don't know, you end up making an ass out of "u" and "mption."

Damn it - tried at least 10 times and keeps rejecting both my credit cards along with another couple of random errors thrown in every now and then. Might try in a couple of hours, otherwise I'll be pissed to miss out on it.

it's doing the same to me bhlloy. it did it to me a couple times last night too.

submit a support request talking about it and mentioning the 2.99 price, at best maybe if they don't fix it they'll honor the price...

Is anyone able to buy the game for me? I will pay you via paypal but I can't make the purchase from Australia.

DT has been trying for me but there may have been issues with the Limit 1 per household. So I'm hoping for someone that hasn't bought the game through the Gamestop download.

Not trying to rub it in or anything, but the system took my credit card on the first try, and I'm downloading the game right now.
