Couple of things came in the mail today. Yay!
I bought myself the Lego Back to the Future set in August and sat on it until yesterday. Got a Lego Castle miniset from my parents and a $100 Visa gift card; used $20 of that on FM14 and the other $80 is going in my next-gen console fund. My ex sent me a Santa Lego minifigure and a 'brick mug' that you can build Lego designs onto. A friend in Ohio sent me Portal 2 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One on PS3. |

Almost got 4 round trip tickets to Hawaii for $82 each...
But I had to get a call at the time and when I went back they were $820 dollars. I have since seen that Delta had an issue this morning and they are going to honor the price for anyone that purchased during that time. Damn phone! |

I was ridiculously spoiled this year
$250 in cash $50 in dunkin coffee cards $15 ITunes card $25 Buffalo Wild Wings card $15 Starbucks card New weather/wind proof winter coat 2 hoodies coffee mug winter hat and gloves socks Jay Bilas book: Toughness Best gift: a mini New York Giants pennant that my 5 year old daughter picked out and bought at her school store all on her own. 2nd best gift: My wife will buy any piece of Syracuse gear I want when we go up there New Years Eve for a basketball game. We actually had the best XMas yet. The 5 year old and 3 year old are perfect Xmas ages and it was the 9 1/2 month old's first Xmas. Got together with extended family, all at my house so there was no travel involved. Everyone had good food, drink and much happiness!

Probably the smallest Christmas haul I've personally ever had.
*joint gift to all of us in the form of a new wifi blu-ray player *new XBox controller that I can use on my PC *a sweet little neutral density filter for my DSLR (will help in taking long exposures in daylight, e.g. waterfalls) *a new book "Lost Rights" which is about the loss and recovery of North Carolina's copy of the Bill of Rights My kids got plenty as they usually do, toys, games, dolls, books, etc. The wife got a Keurig as her big present plus some other things like clothes and books and so forth. We're probably going to treat ourselves with a new smart TV since her dad usually gives us a check to cover his gift-giving to us as a family so we'll use part of that to pay on some of the cost of the TV. |

Hadn't played guitar in about 25 years. Last summer started messing around with it again and having some fun. So, for Christmas I got an Alvarez AD60 in black.
Amazon.com: Alvarez Artist Series AD60BK Dreadnought Guitar, Black/Gloss Finish: Musical Instruments Looks great and plays even better. Great tone with low action that makes it the easiest acoustic guitar to make bar chords on I have ever played. No setup required, just took it out of box, tuned it and was ready to go. |

I got my wife falling on Christmas Eve and messing her ankle up, I then got a hole in my wall when my uncle scooted back in his folding chair and it went out from under him, I then got my wife dropping her brand new wedding band down a crevice between our shower glass and wall mount, and I followed that up with breaking my hand on our table in a fit of rage over all of it.
Stellar. |
