Things have been tense on the farm. Animals that have long been friends now eye each other warily. There are rumors that a revolution is being planned, and that some animals might even be talking to some of the humans in the area. A watch has been put into place, with path12 the rooster manning it this night.
However in the morning, there is no cock crow, just an ominous silence. Going out to investigate you see path12, headless in the dirt, with a large message written next to him in blood: REVALOOSHUN NOOW!!! It appears your worst fears are confirmed. Some of the sheep huddle together softly chanting "Four legs good, two legs bad", the rallying cry for those of the animals who as yet cannot read -- as if this will protect them from the fear that strikes all of you. It is decided that the revolution must be stopped. You must investigate each other to find the culprits involved and save the farm. It is decided that a guilty party must be found, and justice served -- even if it means going against one of the commandments of Animalism......for the future of Animal Farm is at stake. DAY 1 HAS BEGUN. DEADLINE IS 9PM EDT MONDAY. IF ALL VOTES ARE IN PRIOR TO THAT AND A MAJORITY OF PLAYERS AGREE THE DAY CAN END EARLIER.

I don't understand that at all, why people say "villager checking in" or somewhatzit. As if we're going to lynch you for not saying it, or it has any effect on who we're going to go for. "Hey, I'd lynch st.cronin, but he said he was a Goat checking in. Now I'm not sure..." Bizzare, eh? |

It is one of those WW game phenomenon that is usually just as useless as you are pointing out. The only time it isn't is when people angle-shoot (sometimes inadvertantly) with content from their PMs. For example, if all the ordinary villagers are goats and the rest of the people are different animals, then maybe a player starts to use the first people to say "goat" as the basis for a safe list.

Interesting - looks like there is a good seer and a bad seer, but neither of them PM with the bad guys.
I would like to remind the guys who are collecting this information to take special note of the early scans that come up villager. Those guys cannot be assumed to remain in a circle of trust after the first Revolutionary dies as there is the Sympathizer role. Which creates kind of an interesting dynamic. I believe our best case scenario is to: 1.) Have the good seer identify a revolutionary (duh) 2.) Failing that, have him hit on players with good special roles (lock in people in the circle of trust) 3.) Have the bad seer hit nothing but ordinary villagers, where he can't confirm if they have been turned I also think this presents an interesting game for the people who get post-death information since there are no public role reveals upon death. On surface, this looks like a pretty simple game but as I'm pondering this I think there are going to be some fun/complex decisions for the roled players to make. |

Dola - getting a revolutionary early is a very big edge because from that point on we can bank on a circle of trust that includes ordinary villagers.

Good catch, Anxiety. And the bad seer only gets to see seer/no seer. So the roles aspect doesn't come into play at all.
OK, guess we are still at a point where we are clearly incented to get a bad guy ASAP to reduce suspicion around a safe list. Given these restrictions, if we don't get the early hit then we are going to get much better information from the guys who reveal the dead. |

Day one strategy? I usually assume anyone I pick day 1 is on our side and its a horrible vote. Maybe I should change it to where instead I vote for who I think is least likely to be bad on day 1.

Key to surviving WW - accuse everyone and their brother/sister, thereby making yourself only slightly suspicious.

It is kind of odd. Before I started playing, I did not not like Blade for whatever reason. But now, the little guy is grown on me. I can't vote for him on Day 1.
I think I am going to vote for the hottest person in this game. So, um, Dodgerchick. Vote Dodgerchick *I reserve the right to change this vote.

OK, at this point we have ten votes for ten different players. We aren't going to learn anything from this, unless we decide to take it out to its most ridiculous end and have everyone with one vote. There are a lot of vote for/vote against pairs out there right now and I'm going to back out of mine.
Alan T is a good player and a guy I enjoy playing these games with/against. The fact that we are rarely on the same team has no bearing on whether we are on the same team this time around. UNVOTE ALAN T |
