1. Hines Ward
2. Troy Polamalu 3. Rod Woodson 4. Dermontti Dawson 5. Levon Kirkland Honorable mention: Amos Zereoue (it was awesome having a guy from my class at WVU being drafted and having an impact w/ the Steelers -- too bad he couldn't stay healthy), Willie Parker, Heath Miller, Carnell Lake, Casey Hampton, and a number of linebackers from over the years like Harrison, Greene, Lloyd, Woodley, and Porter. I'd probably consider and have a lot of other guys, but I am bitter that some have left via free agency (Randle El, Chad Brown, Alan Faneca, Yancey Thigpen) and/or have turned out to be d-bags (Roethlisberger, Plaxico, and Bettis come to mind). |

Chad Ochocinco - People who dislike this guy don't understand the difference between having fun and being a douche. There was a time he would have been left off this list, but he learned from that and is back to being who he was originally, as well as being one of the most generous and down to earth players in the league off the field.
Carson Palmer - Will be remembered eventually as the best QB in team history, I think. Greg Cook - What could have been.. Corey Dillon - Deserved the ring he won in N.E. Chris Henry - I'm a big fan of people who genuinely try to make themselves better people when they are given a second chance, and I love underdogs. He was always an underdog to me. There are a ton of Bengals who are favorites of mine - I have followed this team since I was 4. The ones above just stood out as I wrote this.

Wow, really? I do like Palmer, but he's got some heavy competition in Anderson & Esiason, no? |

Dola - not being argumentative at all, just gauging what the sentiment is among Bengals fans. Boomer was one of my faves growing up.

I think the last couple of years are tarnishing what most Bengal fans thought would be a possible HoF career for Palmer. If he can't get it back on track soon, there's no way he's a top 5.

1. Lawrence Taylor for the breadstick hit on Thiesmann
2. Tiki Barber for taking the time to come over and chat with us at my daughter's UVA graduation. 3. Pat Summerall for the FG in the snow, my earliest memory of pro football. Had to listen to it on the radio due to the blackout rule. 4. Ray Wietecha the center who lived near my friend and tossed the ball around with us for five minutes or so one afternoon. 5. Eli, for making the cocksucking Patriots 18-1

Marcus Allen Kenny Stabler Steve Wisniewski # 5 could be one of any number of guys (I loved Gannon; Ray Guy should be in the hall; Plunkett got 2 SBs; Casper and Christiansen were great tight ends; I love lineman and Upshaw, Shell, and Otto are legends not to mention Don Mosebar; Tim Brown was always reliable and should get into the HOF, Jack tatum is one of the baddest dudes to play, Belitnikoff [sp?] and Lester the molester Hayes could both get into my top 5 just for the amount of stick-em they used alone; hell maybe i'll put Jack squirek in just for picking off Theismann; I might have to give it to Bo Jackson, though. Oh what could have been...) |
