Since I've wrapped up my other dynasty I'll be posting to this one soon, once I finish putting it together. Sheesh, I'm addicted to these dynasties today.

I'm changing things around this year, since I don't want a repeat of last year. It's just not that interesting to run a dynasty where all the players are backups and have no shot at the NFL. So call me a cheater if you will, but what I did for this episode of the dynasty was confirm that all the players are in the appropriate NFL draft file. I don't know their abilities or whether they'll even be drafted or do anything, but at least they have a shot. Hopefully it will make for more interesting reading. They also all follow the Average Joes criteria of being in the bottom end of the top 100 positional rankings out of high school so watching them battle their way up should be fun.

2011 Season - Recruitment
Kirk George, 5'11" 170 lbs QB - Eisenhower H.S, Norristown, Pennsylvania Kirk is the 75th ranked quarterback in this year's high school class. It seems to be a solid recruiting class so he should quickly receive some attention. He's reasonably smart and wants to major in Nursing. Our excellent scout puts him at 62/100 to start off, and though his on the field stats aren't amazing so far he definitely has talent. His main goal in a school is strong academics, and not too far away. So far this season he has in 5 games gone 63-141 for 991 yards, with 4 TDs and 2 interceptions. He's also added 285 yards rushing and 5 more scores on the ground. Deon Meadows, 5'10" 173 lbs RB - Northshore H.S., Slidell, Louisiana Deon is the 92nd ranked running back in the country this year but the best in Louisiana. He's a smart kid who wants to major in Differential Equations. Our decent scout ranks him at 63/100. Deon claims to not be happy with his home area and wants to get as far away as possible, but also wants a team with good prestige. In 5 games so far he has rushed 133 times for 659 yards and 6 TDs. He's also a solid receiver, catching 22 for 370 and 4 TDs. Winston Wampus, 6'1" 173 lbs WR - Denison H.S., Denison Texas Winston has a strange name but he can definitely play ball, and is the 90th ranked receiver in this recruiting class. Our pretty good scout estimates him at 55/100, though his school hasn't prepared him well athletically. He's not too bright and will struggle in school, and is interested in Geography. Winston's primary criteria in a school is prestige, it is very important to him, though he'd also like something close. In 5 games he has racked up 45 catches for 951 yards and 8 touchdowns. Marc Banks, 6'1" 210 lbs ILB - Pembroke H.S., Corfu, New York Marc is the 83rd best ILB in the country and the 9th best in NY. Our decent scout rates him 56/100 at the moment, though he wasn't impressed with his poor attitude. Marc has struggled in school and has expressed an interest in Marketing. Marc wants to improve himself and values academics in a school, preferably one close to home. So far in 5 games he has 44 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Artie Foreman, 6'0" 182 lbs CB - Hamilton HS, Milwaukee, Wisconsin Artie is judged the 97th best cornerback in the country, though he is the 2nd best in Wisconsin. Our scout in his area is pretty lousy, but rates him 68/100 overall. Artie is hurting academically, as his 2.08 GPA is low and his 720 test score puts him on the border for academically failing. His main concern at this point is to sign to a big name school so he can impress his friends, and that school is Wisconsin, which he idolizes. In 5 games this season he has 27 tackles, 3 sacks, and 4 interceptions. |

Week 1
George Kirk is offered a scholarship to Idaho and is contacted by MTSU. Meadows No contacts. Wampus Texas schools jump all over Winston right out of the gate, he is given scholarship offers from Rice, Baylor, and Houston, and is visiting Rice. Banks Marc is not contacted this week. Foreman Artie receives no contacts this week. Week 2 George Kirk gets another offer, this one from Temple. Meadows Deon gets some initial contacts this week from Temple as well as LA-Lafayette. Wampus Winston is considering two offers and visiting Rice, he also is contacted by West Virginia. He's definitely attracting some big-school attention. Banks Marc gets an initial contact from Buffalo this week. Foreman Artie has no contacts yet, probably his borderline academic status is scaring everyone off. |

Week 3
George Kirk is considering his Temple and Idaho offers. His stats so far this year are 87-193 for 1348 yards, 4 TDs and 2 INT. He's not exactly burning up the field. Meadows Deon is contacted by Minnesota this week, but no scholarship offers yet. His stats in 7 games are 185 rushes for 892 yards and 8 scores. Wampus Winston is now visiting Baylor and Rice. Through 7 games his stats are 61 catches for 1322 yards and 12 TDs. Banks Marc has been contacted by Buffalo, LA-Monroe, and Tulsa, but no offers yet. Through 7 games he has 66 tackles, 3 sacks, and an interception Foreman Still no contacts. He's focusing his energies on the playing field, through 7 games he has 37 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 6 interceptions Week 4 George No change, he is still considering Temple and Idaho. Meadows Deon receives his first offer, from Louisiana-Monroe. Wampus Winston is now visiting Baylor, Houston, and Rice. Banks Marc received his first offer this week and is now visiting Buffalo. Foreman No contacts. His test scores are definitely causing problems, he may have to wait till the last minute. |

Week 5
George Kirk is still considering his offers, and doesn't get named All-State, no surprise there. Meadows Deon is named to the Louisiana All-State team. He receives a contact this week from San Diego State but still only has the one LA-Monroe offer. Wampus Winston is still visiting three Texas schools, and also gets an offer from Kentucky. No All-State honor for him, despite his great year, but Texas is a brutally competitive state. Banks Marc is still visiting Buffalo. He's disappointed not to make the All-State team. Foreman Two things happen this week, Artie is named to the All-State team, and the phone finally rings. It's Kentucky, with a scholarship offer. He is considering it. Week 6 George No change, Kirk considers his offers from Idaho and Temple. His final stats this year were 129-266 for 1955 yards, with 7 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He did run for 668 yards and 8 touchdowns as well. Meadows Deon's contact list is getting quite long, with Hawaii and Oregon State being added this week, but the teams seem reluctant to pull the trigger on offers, and Deon can't be too happy with LA-Monroe since he wants to get far away from home. He finished on the year with 240 rushes for 1190 yards and 10 TDs. Wampus Winston is still visiting his three schools and considering Kentucky. He had an impressive year, with 75 catches for 1600 yards and 15 TDs. Banks Marc is visiting Buffalo and considering an offer from LA-Monroe. His final stats were 86 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 3 interceptions. Foreman Artie is now visiting Kentucky, I guess he has to grab onto whatever he can get. His yearly stats were 49 tackles, 6 sacks, and 9 interceptions, good numbers. |

Week 7
George No change this week. Meadows Deon is still mulling his LA-Monroe offer and is now even considering walking on to LA-Lafayette. He must be getting pretty desparate. Wampus Winston makes his decision and commits to Rice. Banks Marc is visiting Buffalo and LA-Monroe. Could two of our players end up at the same school? Foreman Artie is still visiting Kentucky. Week 8 George Kirk is contacted by Oklahoma (!) and LA-Lafayette this week, and is still considering his other offers. Meadows Deon is now visiting LA-Monroe and LA-Lafayette (who made him an offer this week.) It appears that he will have to stay in-state after all. Wampus committed to Rice. Banks Buffalo has fallen through and revoked its offer, leaving Marc visiting only LA-Monroe. He's also halfway considering walking on to Army. Foreman Artie gets another call with a scholarship offer, this time from Sol-8 school Fairbanks. |

Week 9
George Idaho revokes their offer, leaving Kirk with only one standing offer, Temple. He pays them a visit. Meadows Deon is trying to postpone the inevitable as long as possible. Still only two offers, both from Louisiana schools. Wampus committed to Rice Banks Marc gets an offer from Kansas this week, and is now visiting them and LA-Monroe. Foreman The numbers of top 100 CBs available is dwindling, and though Artie's Kentucky offer falls through, he gets a huge phone call with an offer from Georgia! He immediately goes to Athens for a visit. Week 10 George Kirk is devastated to learn that Temple has revoked its offer, leaving him with no scholarship offers. He has a few contacts but has no interest in walking on at this point. Meadows Deon finally gave up and signed committment papers to Louisiana-Monroe Wampus committed to Rice Banks Marc is visiting Kansas this week, as the LA-Monroe offer falls through. Foreman Artie couldn't wait to sign commitment papers with Georgia. |

This is pretty crazy, I'm amazed that two of these guys are still unsigned after this long!
Week 11 George Kirk is amazed that no one has made him an offer, at this point most of his contacts have dropped him. He is considering walking on to LA-Lafayette and Western Michigan. Meadows committed to LA-Monroe Wampus Committed to Rice Banks Marc can't seem to catch a break, as his Kansas offer is revoked while he's still visiting them. He gets a last minute offer from Bowling Green and pays them a visit. Foreman committed to Georgia Week 12 George Kirk is now the 9th best QB still left unsigned, and yet no one is making any offers! Purdue contacts him, and he is considering walking on there. Meadows committed to Rice Wampus committed to LA-Monroe Banks Marc is still visiting Bowling Green, and is being contacted by several other schools as the options wear thin. Foreman committed to Georgia |

Week 13
George Kirk is the victim of a glut of good high school QBs this year, and he's not the only one in a bind. Some QBs ranked even above him have no contacts at all at this point! At this point he has contacts from Minnesota, LA-Lafayette, and Western Michigan, but no offers. Meadows committed to LA-Monroe Wampus committed to Rice Banks Marc is getting pretty desperate, he can't seem to close a deal with any school. Bowling Green revokes it's offer this week, but luckily Clemson tenders him an offer, so he visits them. Foreman committed to Georgia Week 14 George No further contacts, it's Conference Championship week and most schools have long since wrapped up their recruiting. He'll almost certainly walk-on now, to either LA-Lafayette, Minnesota, or Western Michigan. Minnesota looks like the best bet with its strong academics. Meadows committed to LA-Monroe Wampus committed to Rice Banks Clemson falls through, leaving him with no offers. He'll probably walk on as well. Foreman committed to Georgia Week 15 George Kirk bit the bullet and applied to attend Minnesota. He will walk-on there as a quarterback this season. Meadows committed to LA-Monroe Wampus committed to Rice Banks At the very last minute, when he had given up, he got a call. One of LSU's linebacker recruits had been arrested, and they needed someone to fill his spot. The offer was worked out immediately and Marc committed to LSU. Foreman committed to Georgia |

2012 Season Start
I'm expecting everyone to redshirt this year but this will be an update on their college status: Kirk George, 5'11" 171 lbs QB - Minnesota Kirk shows a lot of potential, especially for a walk-on. Minnesota is delighted to get him, and slap the redshirt tag on immediately. Our good scout puts him at 7/87 right now, so he's got a long way to fill out his potential. Minnesota's solid starting QB and backup are seniors and the way it looks now Kirk can move right into the starting job if he's lucky. Minnesota finished 6-5 last year and 5th in the Big 10. Deon Meadows, 5'10" 179 lbs RB - Louisiana-Monroe Deon is redshirted immediately by the Indians. Our scout in the area is only decent, but rates him at 32/67 right now. There are a few other good RBs on the squad but most of them will graduate soon, if Deon improves in his redshirt year he will have a chance to start next season. LA-Monroe is running out of the Flexbone so there should be plenty of running chances for everyone. The Indians went 7-4 last year and finished second in the Sun Belt. Winston Wampus, 6'1" 190 lbs WR - Rice Winston is redshirted this year, like the others. He doesn't seem to have the upside of the others at first glance, scouted (pretty good) at 22-49, but Rice has two good young QBs and a decent squad of WRs so if Winston improves he should have a chance. Rice is running out of the Power-I and finished 5-6 last year, 6th in the WAC. Marc Banks, 6'1" 227 lbs ILB - LSU Marc is pretty surprised to be on scholarship at LSU, to be honest. They have gone 8-4 and made bowl appearances the last two years. Marc is redshirted this year, unfortunately our scout in his area is terrible with linebackers, so you can't really trust what he says, which is that Marc is 0/36. I think he's really a good bit better than that. LSU has a pretty solid ILB squad so Marc will be hard pressed to get starting time anytime soon. Artie Foreman, 6'0" 202 lbs CB - Georgia Two of our guys landing at bigtime SEC schools was something I didn't expect. Our scout in Artie's area is only fair, but he rates him 19/81 and I think everyone agrees he has a lot of potential. Georgia has a mixed bag at CB, with Artie and another good prospect redshirting, and their best player graduating. There will always be a lot of pressure for playing time here. Georgia is not the team it once was, unfortunately, 4-7 last year and has been sinking recently, the last time they had a winning season was 2007. |

2013 Season Start
Our players freshman year, let's hope some of them get some playing time! Kirk George, 5'11" 179 lbs QB - Minnesota I don't know if Kirk was overscouted before or just had trouble adapting to the college game, but in either case our very good scout is now just marking him as 12/55. He's playing behind Aaron Moniz and Warren O'Neal and can probably expect to ride the bench this year. It's a tough life as a walk-on. Minnesota finished 3-8 last year and barely stayed out of the Big 10 basement. Deon Meadows, 5'10" 187 lbs RB - Louisiana-Monroe Deon had a good redshirt year and is primed to play for the Indians this year. Our decent scout puts him at 30/67 for this season. Last year's starting RB is out for half the season with a leg fracture so Deon will probably start, though prospect Marvin Cochrane was signed and is redshirting this year, to put pressure on him. The team slumped terribly last year with an incapable offense, and finished 2-9. They are hoping to improve on that this year. Winston Wampus, 6'1" 197 lbs WR - Rice Rice had a decent year last year, going 6-5. Winston developed a lot over his redshirt year and is now scouted 33-49. He also has a good shot at some playing time this year. Rice only has 5 receivers on their roster, and their second best is suspended for the year. Marc Banks, 6'1" 236 lbs ILB - LSU Marc didn't develop much over the last season and our scout still rates him 0/36, but he is a terrible scout. LSU finished 5-6 last year and is hoping to bounce back this season. Marc is unlikely to play much this year as there are several good players ahead of him. Artie Foreman, 6'0" 207 lbs CB - Georgia Georgia finished a miserable 4-7 last year and fired their head coach of two years. They are really struggling over the past 5-6 seasons. Artie is looking good this year and is scouted 26/81, I think he has a very good chance to start at CB and should see plenty of playing time either way, his main competition is 23/81 Ted Huffman. |

2013 mid-season report
George Kirk is playing third string, as expected, and doesn't see the field much. He manages 2-3 for a mighty 12 yards, playing in one game. Minnesota is 1-5 on the year, ouch. Meadows Things looked very good for Deon, he started the first 4 games of the year in replacement of an injured starter, but near the start of the 4th game he himself broke his tibia and will likely be out the rest of the year. His stats were not that impressive however, 29 carries for 128 yards, as well as 8 catches for 38 more. LA-Monroe is struggling though, and is 1-4 so far. Wampus Winston is sitting on the bench this year, he hasn't caught a ball yet. Rice is 2-3 on the year. Banks With our terrible scout looking at Marc, it was hard to tell whether he'd play or not. Apparently LSU thinks he should start, as he has in 4 out of 6 games he's played in. His amount of plays is low, though, and he has 5 tackles, 1 assist, and 1 TFL so far. LSU is 3-3 on the season so far. Foreman Artie is also getting the chance to start for Georgia, in 4 games he has 8 tackles, 5 assists, and an interception run back for a TD. Georgia has started the season in excellent form, going 3-1 so far. Last edited by Peregrine : 07-27-2005 at 08:41 PM. |

2013 Season End
Notre Dame - Penn State - Wisconsin - USC - Texas - California - Northern Illinois - Pittsburgh - TCU - Washington, final top 10 The Irish were unbeatable this year, going 12-0 and were the #1 ranked team by a large margin. They defeated Texas in the championship game to win the title. Irish QB Preston King took home the Heisman as well. George Kirk played in all of 3 games this year and finished with 5-25 for 78 yards. Not the season he'd hoped for, even as a backup! Minnesota finished 2-9 and looked terrible for much of the year. Meadows Deon's injury took most of his season away, though he did manage to play in the last game of the year. His total stats were 34 carries for 135 yards; and 9 catches for 45 yards. LA-Monroe's offense has been quite anemic this year, a big part of their 3-8 finish. Wampus Winston sat on the bench at Rice and didn't catch a pass. Rice had a 7-4 year without him and finished 4th in the WAC. Banks Marc would have liked to see more playing time, as he seemed to be platooning at ILB, but he had 8 starts and played in all 10 games, recording 16 tackles, 9 assists, and 1 TFL. LSU managed a 5-6 season, good for 4th in the SEC-South. Foreman Artie was our only player to start every game for his team, in 11 games he had 26 tackles, 6 assists, 1 TFL, and one interception. He was fairly happy with his year but would like to get more involved in the passing game. Georgia finished 5-6 this year and finished 5th in the SEC-North. 2014 Season Start
Our players begin their sophomore year, all of them looking to improve on last season. Kirk George, 5'11" 187 lbs QB - Minnesota Kirk didn't play much last year, so he didn't improve much...err at all. He is still rated 12/55 by our Pretty Good scout. He's unlikely to see any playing time this year as he is sitting behind talented senior Aaron Moniz and decent prospect Jerry Sanderson. If he gets some playing time though he should pass Sanderson who doesn't have much upside. Deon Meadows, 5'11" 195 lbs RB - Louisiana-Monroe Deon has improved nicely, and is now scouted 40/66 by our Fair scout. He looks better than any other RB his team has, though freshman Marvin Cochrane will pressure him. Winston Wampus, 6'1" 204 lbs WR - Rice Despite Winston's lack of playing time last year he is improving, he is currently rated 46/49 by our pretty good scout. Rice is thin at WR this season so he should definitely get a starting job, and he'll have talented QB Jake Booker throwing to him.Could be a good season! Marc Banks, 6'1" 245 lbs ILB - LSU Marc is bulking up into good LB size, though our scout in the area is still terrible and still rates him 0/36. Surely that can't be right, though. I wouldn't have predicted he'd start much last year, so I'm not sure what will happen this year. Star SLB Richard Sutton will continue to handle much of the ILB tackling duties, though. Artie Foreman, 6'0" 210 lbs CB - Georgia Artie has developed well over the last season, and our decent scout ranks him as 47/81. He should retain his starting CB job. |

2014 Mid-season Report
Wisconsin - Pittsburgh - Texas - Kansas State - Notre Dame - Washington - Penn State - Utah - Tennessee - Stanford top 10 George Well I guess I was wrong! For some reason (I really couldn't tell you) Kirk is named as the starter for Minnesota this year! He has played fairly well so far, throwing 66-125 for 986 yards, with 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, in 6 starts. No one seems more surprised to be starting than him! Minnesota is 2-4 under his guidance, though currently 2-1 in the Big Ten! Meadows Deon is getting plenty of playing time so far, since LA-Monroe's flexbone means multiple starting backs. In 5 starts he has rushed 96 times for 381 yards and 2 TDs. His team has gotten out to a 3-2 start. Wampus Winston started as expected this year, and though he has battled a bruised ribcage, in 5 games he has 26 catches for 445 yards and 4 TDs, not bad at all. Rice is a miserable 0-5 to start the season, though. Banks Marc started the season as the starter at WLB, though a severe wrist sprain has kept him sidelined for all but the first 2 games. He has 4 tackles and 1 assist, and the injury should heal in a couple more weeks. LSU is 1-4 this season, in a SEC-South that is just terrible aside from Ole Miss. Foreman Artie is starting again, and in 5 games has 8 tackles, 5 assists, and an interception. He's improved a lot at pass cover and has allowed only 3 catches so far. Georgia is remaining consistent at 1-4. |

2014 Season End
Pittsburgh - Notre Dame - Washington - Tennessee - Wisconsin - Central Florida - Texas - SMU - Northern Illinois - Stanford top 10 Pittsburgh had a great run this year to go 12-0, their program has really been building into something impressive in the last several years. They waltzed past Washington in the title game, and Notre Dame edged Texas in the Sugar Bowl. Notre Dame had the Heisman winner for the second year in a row with WR Hunter Ivey who had 1780 yards and 20 TD catches on the year. George Kirk had a solid season in his first as a starter, in 11 games he threw 117-229 for 1557 yards, with 8 touchdowns against 6 interceptions. He also added another touchdown on the ground. Meadows Deon had a good year and led the team in rushing, though in a two RB attack his numbers weren't huge - 132 rushes for 592 yards and 3 TDs. He added 8 catches for 76 yards as well. LA-Monroe finished 6-5 this year. Wampus Rice finished 1-10 this year but at least Winston was one of their bright spots, he played well all year and finished with 43 catches for 792 yards receiving, and 4 touchdowns. QB Booker struggled (throwing 23 interceptions) which limited what Winston could do this year. It was enough, though, as Winston was named WAC 2nd Team WR! Banks Marc started at ILB in 8 games this season, missing some to a shoulder injury. He had 27 tackles and 11 assists on the year. It didn't help him that star ILB Richard Sutton had an amazing 164 tackles this year, earning top defensive player in the country honors! LSU finished 1-10 so there was plenty of tackling to do. Foreman Artie started all year at CB, and had numbers consistent with last year, 27 tackles, 13 assists, 3 TFL, and 1 interception. Georgia continued its slide, finishing 3-8 on the year. 2015 Season Start
Our players begin their junior years. Will they continue to develop? Will their schools ever win a game? Kirk George, 5'11" 196 lbs QB - Minnesota Playing time was the best thing for George in developing this year, our very good scout puts him at 39/55, from 12/55 at the start of last year. He will probably start again this year, though challenged by Aaron Moniz. Deon Meadows, 5'10" 202 lbs RB - Louisiana-Monroe Our scout for Deon this year is only poor, but rates him 68/68. Either way I think it's fair to say he's developed to near his full potential. He should continue to start and play consistently well, though a change in offense would help his numbers a lot. Winston Wampus, 6'1" 207 lbs WR - Rice Winston looked pretty good last year and should continue to improve, as he has developed completely. Our fair scout places him at 52/52 this season, and though there are higher potential receivers on the Rice squad, none are better right now. Marc Banks, 6'1" 254 lbs ILB - LSU The good news is we have a new scout in the area and he is very good. The bad news is that Marc is still scouted as only 2/50. I don't know how this can be since he's been primarily starting for two years. Maybe Marc is just hard to get an impression on. Will he start again? Who knows? Artie Foreman, 6'0" 211 lbs CB - Georgia Artie is definitely improving nicely after two years of steady starting. Our decent scout puts him at 55/81 this season. He will probably start again. 2015 Mid-Season report Notre Dame - Washington - North Texas - Florida State - Texas - Stanford - Auburn - Central Florida - Vanderbilt - Tulane top 10 George Kirk has had trouble with his accuracy this year, ending up in 7 interceptions and a low accuracy percentage. In 6 games so far he's thrown 64-131 for 795 yards and 3 touchdowns. Minnesota is 0-6 in those games. Kirk's best game was against Michigan State, where he threw for 266 yards and a touchdown in a game where Minnesota got clubbed, 49-23. Meadows Deon is really showing some talent this year, with 74 carries for 400 yards and 2 touchdowns, in 5 games. He's also tacked on 9 catches for 84 yards. LA-Monroe is 3-2 so far this year. Wampus QB Jake Booker is playing better for Rice this year, and Winston is seeing the results. Through 4 games he has 17 catches for 364 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rice is a decent 2-2 so far this year. Banks LSU has struggled so far at 2-4 but that's already one more win than they managed last year! Marc has been downgraded to backup and part-time starter this year, unfortunately. In 6 games and 2 starts he has only 7 tackles and 5 assists, with 3 TFL. Is he just not getting the playing time, or is he really not that good, as the scouts seem to think? Foreman Artie has started all 5 games for the Bulldogs so far this year, recording 8 tackles, 5 assists, and an interception. On the good side he's only let receivers catch 5 passes so far. Georgia is 2-3 on the year. 2015 End Season Report Notre Dame - Central Florida - Texas - Washington - North Texas - Stanford - Miami of Ohio - Maryland - Tulane top 10 All 3 top teams are undefeated which means a title controversy seems likely. Notre Dame is matched against Washington in the main even and routs them 41-10! Texas and Central Florida both win as well, leading to 3 undefeated teams at year's end, but Notre Dame is given the title. The Irish have built a juggernaut of a program, they have gone to a bowl all but one year and are 11-0 in them, and now have 2 titles in 3 years. They add another Notre Dame player's name to the Heisman trophy, an amazing story as Clay Reese is their true freshman QB who put up incredible numbers, 301-500 for 4113 yards, 41 TDs and 16 INT. George Minnesota is consistent, at least, with another 1-10 finish this year. Kirk doesn't have a good year, his accuracy problems continuing through the year. He finishes 11 starts with 121 for 258 for 1571 yards, with 9 TDs but 13 interceptions. He may be a walk-on, but Ardent leads the Vols he's not! Meadows Deon is able to start all 11 games and is really taking over most of his teams running duties. He finishes just shy of 1000 yards, with 178 carries for 924 yards and 4 touchdowns. Receiving he adds 19 catches for 184 more yards. His team plays well though, and finishes 7-4 this year, Wampus Winston helped an improved Rice squad finish 5-6 this year. He had 47 catches for 931 yards and 5 touchdowns, which led to him being named WAC 1st Team WR! So far he seems the most impressive of our Joes. Banks LSU improves to 4-7 this year from last year's dismal campaign. ILB Sutton records his second consecutive National Defensive Player of the Year season, and is drawing plenty of NFL attention, maybe some will spill over to Marc. Marc is mostly a non-entity this year, with 3 starts and playing in every game, he records only 13 tackles and 7 assists. His coaches think he's just overshadowed by Sutton's sideline to sideline dominance, we'll find out next year! Foreman Artie continues to develop into a solid cover corner, he finishes the year with 22 tackles, 12 assists, 3 interceptions, and lets only 15 passes be caught. Georgia finishes 5-6 this season. 2016 Season Start
It's senior year time. Will our players impress the NFL scouts or fade into oblivion? Kirk George, 5'11" 199 lbs QB - Minnesota Our very good scout has Kirk pegged at 51/55, but he hasn't played all that well the past two seasons, though he hasn't had much to work with. He should start again this year and if he can shake his accuracy bug, maybe can impress a few scouts with his physical tools. Deon Meadows, 5'10" 205 lbs RB - Louisiana-Monroe Our scout in Deon's area is still poor, but it's hard to argue with an 80/80 scouting report. Meadows has already attracted some NFL attention despite playing for a relatively obscure school, and his speed and consistency seem like a good fit for an NFL prospect. He'll need a good year this year to seal the deal though. Winston Wampus, 6'1" 208 lbs WR - Rice Winston has impressed the last two seasons, and scouts are definitely taking a look at him. He has good hands and a good downfield move. Our good scout rates him 53/53 this year, and he's hoping to have his best season yet. Marc Banks, 6'1" 262 lbs ILB - LSU Marc has the size for his position, but does he have the talent? Our scout in his area is terrific, but still only rates him at 9/50. Is he a late bloomer or a will he wither in the bud? At least he won't have Richard Sutton looming over him this year. We'll see whether he starts or not. Artie Foreman, 6'0" 211 lbs CB - Georgia Our decent scout puts Artie at 53/80, he definitely has an upside that hasn't developed in college, and scouts are watching him as a draft prospect. Georgia has several talented corners this year but Artie should still start. 2016 Mid-season report USC - Clemson - Texas - North Texas - Northern Illinois - Stanford - Air Force - Notre Dame - Auburn - Central Florida top 10. George Kirk George seems to have put it together this year so far, in 6 games he's 69-120 for 898 yards, with 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He doesn't show impressive athletic ability but he can adequately support a conservative offense. Minnesota is 2-4 on the season, but are going into their brutal conference schedule. Meadows Louisiana-Monroe is 4-1 so far this year and a big part is Deon Meadows, who's rushed 88 times for 411 yards and 3 touchdowns. He's added 15 catches for 128 more yards, too. Wampus Winston Wampus is ahead of last year's midseason, with 26 catches for 421 yards and a touchdown. Rice is 2-3, including a nice win over Fresno State. Banks Marc Banks has played in 6 games and started 4, and has looked his best this year, recording 26 tackles and 4 assists. His tackles total has already almost exceeded his best year so far! LSU is 2-4, including 2 very close losses, and there is a feeling of a bit more hop for the team this year. Foreman Artie Foreman has started all 5 games and has recorded 14 tackles and 8 assists, as well as an interception. Georgia is 2-3 with both of their wins over very weak teams. |

2016 Year End report and summary
Notre Dame - Texas - Auburn - Texas A&M - Central Florida -Air Force - Stanford - USC - North Texas - Tennessee top 10 Notre Dame and Texas both end up undefeated, with the Irish demolishing an outmatched North Texas squad in the Solecismic Bowl and Texas playing well for a win over USC in the Sugar. Notre Dame goes back-to-back titles and 3 in 4 years, coach Vinny Arnold has put together a true powerhouse here. At least the Irish don't take home a 4th straight Heisman, as USC QB Luther Ramirez gets that honor. Kirk George Well, Minnesota went 2-9 this year, improvement at least. Kirk George looked good overall and showed flashes of great play this season, finishing 136-229 for 1839 yards and 12 touchdowns, against 9 interceptions. His career stats: Code:
Honestly I can't see Kirk George as much of an NFL prospect, he hasn't showed much in the way of great play, and doesn't have good height for a QB. Meadows LA-Monroe finished 5-6 this year, disappointing after several years of winning seasons. Deon Meadows also suffered, as the emergence of RB competition gave him fewer opportunities. He rushed 173 times for 779 yards and 7 touchdowns, and added 30 catches for 255 more yards. His career stats: Code:
Deon seems to have NFL talent, though he didn't have the chance to show much flash in college. Will the scouts see past this? Probably. I think if given a chance he could succeed in the NFL, though how much I'm not sure. Wampus Another disappointment, Winston caught more passes this year, but for less yards. He had 50 catches for 866 yards and 4 touchdowns, a disappointing year for him. On the other hand Rice finished 5-6, much improved. Winston was named WAC 2nd Team WR! His career stats: Code:
Winston certainly has NFL talent, though his potential seems limited. Will he be able to make the transition successfully? I'd like to think so, but I have doubts. Banks Apparently his coaches were right! Without Sutton to dominate the middle of the field, Marc Banks had a very good year, recording 60 tackles, 15 assists, 2.5 sacks, an interception, and 12 TFL. This is the kind of performance we've been waiting for! LSU finished with another miserable 3-8 season. His career stats: Code:
Marc definitely showed a lot of talent this season, but his mixed scouting reports makes me wonder if he'll be able to make a dent in the NFL. Foreman Artie Foreman had another consistent year, he plays well but hasn't shown tremendous development through his college years. He had 22 tackles, 15 assists, and an interception on the year, and let 15 passes through. Georgia finished 4-7 on the season. His career passing game stats: Code:
and defense stats: Code:
I think Foreman has the potential to be an NFL player, he may just not have shown it in college, but if can impress at the combine he can make an NFL roster I think. Last edited by Peregrine : 07-28-2005 at 09:01 AM. |

2016 NFL Draft
The time has arrived, to see what will happen to the Joes we have been following for 5 seasons. Will any of them make it big in the NFL? Will any of them even be drafted? Kirk George, 5'11" 200 lbs QB - Minnesota Kirk wasn't expected to make an impression and he didn't. Scouted at 8/22, he's way, way down in the QB list and definitely won't be drafted. He showed the combine a 4.74 dash, 28 test, and 7.88 agility drill. Deon Meadows, 5'10" 205 lbs RB - Louisiana -Monroe Deon has really impressed the scouts, he had a great combine and his stock has kept rising. He's scouted at 35/58 and is rated as the 4th best RB in the draft (admittedly, a weak RB class this year.) He had a 4.6 dash, 19 bench reps, 28 test and 7.22 agility drill. He's a possible first round pick but more likely second, depending on how many teams have needs at RB. Winston Wampus, 6'1" 208 lbs WR - Rice Winston showed his speed at the combine and looks to have some upside. He is scouted at 18/58 and is the 15th best WR available. He had a 4.51 dash, 15 test and 7.34 agility drill. He will get drafted, but it will be in the mid-later rounds. Marc Banks, 6'1" 269 lbs ILB - LSU Marc's talent was enough to get him on the draft list but he's not sure to be drafted. He's scouted as 14/39, and is around the 20th best at his position. He has a 4.91 dash, 22 bench reps, 25 test, and 7.71 agility drill. Will he get picked up? Probably not, but he might be able to land a backup spot somewhere, maybe. Artie Foreman, 6'0" 211 lbs CB - Georgia Artie is not rated highly by the scouts, only 11/31, which puts him very far down the list of corners available. He had a 4.53 dash, 15 test, and 7.40 agility drill. He will not be drafted and is unlikely to be signed by anyone. |

2016 Season Start
Kirk George Kirk is an unsigned free agent. Deon Meadows Deon signed a 3 year, $5.38 million contract with Seattle. He is scouted 36/54 after training camp, and will compete with Gilbert Flint for playing time. Flint was acquired in free agency from the Eagles and started for them the last two years. Seattle finished 7-9 last year. Winston Wampus Winston signed a 4 year, $3.77 million deal with Atlanta. He is scouted 19/50 after training camp and will be a backup receiver for the Falcons. He has a lot of potential and his best areas are avoiding drops and courage, though he is consistent across the board. Atlanta has QB Chester Webb throwing the ball, one of the better rated QBs in the league. The Falcons finished 9-7 last year. Marc Banks Marc is picked up by the San Francisco 49ers and signed to a one-year minimum salary contract. He is scouted 15/37 after training camp and is currently inactive, he'll be lucky to last the year without being cut. Artie Foreman Artie is picked up by the Green Bay Packers and signed to a one-year minimum salary contract. He is scouted 12/30 after training camp and seems unlikely to last the season. |

2016 Regular Season
Kirk George Kirk went unsigned this season. Deon Meadows, RB - Seahawks Deon was third string RB for the Seahawks this year, behind RBs Flint and Barton. He had 59 carries for 189 yards and one touchdown on the year, catching 3 passes for 22 more yards. Seattle finished 9-6-1 which was good enough to win their division. They lost to Detroit in the NFC championship, and Detroit went on to claim the Super Bowl over San Diego. Winston Wampus, WR - Falcons Winston played at SE for the Falcons this year in backup duty, catching 22 passes for 327 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Falcons lost QB Webb to a knee sprain for most of the year and had to fall back to a QB picked up off waivers. Atlanta's main receiver is "The Outdoorsman" Hunter Fisher who caught 83 for 1259- 11 this season. Atlanta finished 8-8 this year. Marc Banks, WLB - Seahawks Marc was cut from the 49ers before he even got to play, and ended up a free agent for most of the year, before ending up at Seattle for the last few games of the year as a reserve. He recorded 1 tackle and 1 assist this year. Artie Foreman, CB - Packers Artie played a minor backup role for the Packers this year, playing in 15 games and recording 11 tackles and 7 assists. |

2017 Season Start
Kirk George Kirk George retired without ever signing an NFL contract. Deon Meadows, RB - Seahawks Deon is scouted 36/51 after training camp this year, and will probably be third string again this year. Winston Wampus, WR - Falcons Winston is scouted 21/43, and will likely play the same role he did last year, backup split end. The Falcons' WR corps is pretty thin after Fisher so an injury could get him a lot more passes. Marc Banks Marc was released by the Seahawks in the offseason and is an unsigned free agent. Artie Foreman Artie was released by the Packers in the offseason and is an unsigned free agent. |

2017 Regular Season
Houston wins the Super Bowl 27-10 over Dallas. The MVP award goes to the Titans' RB Michael Browne, who has 1200 yards rushing and 500 more receiving. This is Browne's second MVP award in a row! Deon Meadows, RB - Seattle Deon was a ghost on the roster this year, getting all of 1 carry for 2 yards, though it was for a touchdown. His main value was as a kick and punt return man. Seattle finished 11-5 and won their division, but were ambushed by New Orleans in the playoffs. Winston Wampus, WR - Atlanta Winston had a similar year to last, getting 22 catches for 307 yards. Hunter Fisher was dominant this year with almost 1300 yards receiving. With QB Webb healthy all year, Atlanta finished 11-5 and won the NFC South, but lost to Dallas in the playoffs. Marc Banks Marc remained an unsigned free agent all season. Artie Foreman Artie remained an unsigned free agent all season. |

2018 Season Start
Deon Meadows, RB - Seattle Deon is scouted 38/49 to start the season. Seattle got rid of RB Flint so there's only Barton ahead of him on the roster, so he may get some more playing time as a rusher. Winston Wampus Winston was released by Atlanta in the offseason. He is scouted 23/40 to start the year. Marc Banks Marc retired in the offseason. Artie Foreman Artie retired in the offseason. 2018 Regular Season Tampa Bay defeated Indianapolis 20-17 to win the Super Bowl. QB Jeremy Ferraro of Dallas was the MVP, he has been very sharp since he was drafted by the Cowboys 7 years ago. Deon Meadows, RB - Seattle Deon was the primary backup RB this season, in addition to being an occasional return man. He rushed 95 times for 383 yards and a touchdown Seattle finished 7-9 on the year and didn't make the playoffs. Winston Wampus Winston remained a free agent all year and was unsigned, to his surprise. He retired at the end of the season. |

2019 Season
Only four NFL seasons and already we are down to one active player. Will Deon be able to develop enough to ever get a starting job? Deon Meadows, RB - Seattle Deon re-signed with Seattle for a 2 year, $1.83 million contract. He got a few more carries this season in his backup role, with 110 rushes for 425 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was a fulltime punt returner as well. Seattle sunk to 5-11 this year. 2020 Season Deon Meadows, RB - Tampa Bay Deon was released by Seattle in the offseason and had not signed at the start of the year. He signed on with Tampa Bay on a one year, $1.03 million contract near the end of the season but he only played in one game and didn't even record any stats. Not bad work for a million bucks though! He was scouted 41/45 this season. 2021 Season Deon Meadows, RB - Atlanta Deon was released by Tampa Bay but was signed by Atlanta on a one year, $1.07 million deal. I think it will be his lot in life to float around the league as a backup RB, with one million deals every year. He never played for Atlanta, was released, then signed on with Chicago under similar terms and managed 3 rushes for 5 yards. 2022 Season Deon Meadows He was released from Chicago and signed with Tennessee for a $1.12 million, one year deal. He was only scouted at 31/34 this year, however it was his lucky year, as a spate of injuries gave him some playing time. He started 4 games and played in all 16 for the Titans, recording 191 carries for 695 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Titans went 14-2 in the regular season and went to the Super Bowl but were denied by undefeated St. Louis. Deon retired after this season. |

Well that's it for this crop of Joes. I'm going to put this dynasty on hiatus for a while, I'm a little tired of the Joes concept right now, if I do another dynasty it will have a different spin on it. Hope people have enjoyed it!
