Day One votes suck. Y'all know this.

I don't want to add another candidate to the list at this point.

Any of the wolves want to make this easier on us and step forward?

JAG? You know you want to come clean and confess your wolfy ways?

sal? You learned from the best and since he dropped out I bet you are carrying the torch of wolfdom this game?

DT? A Patriots fan must be a wolf?

Autumn? I should channel CF and vote for you because he must just know that you are a wolf.

RA? Any Raider fan is practically a wolf already?

New people whom I haven;t played with? You all must be wolves?

Oh crap, that's it isn't it? I'm the only one that isn't a wolf? I'm doomed!!!!!

Sorry, it was WAY too quiet in here.

FYI - I'm going to be on a business trip tomorrow so won't be active during the day (will try to catch up after the meeting and before dinner, but it might not happen before say 8pm ET).

Wednesday I'm flying home early-morning and going straight into a meeting at 1PM, so probably won't make it around until more like the end of the workday.

Just wanted to get that out there.

Quiet day 1 in a small game seems right. Only two wolves that are likely just going to stay very matter-of-fact today. Cultist will make themself known in time by either vote switches or some other attempt to ID himself to the wolves before they accidentally kill him.

Haven't played with some of you. He's probably innocent but the drive by second vote to tie saldana by mauchow pings my radar (though I'm sure that's just me being rusty) so I'll likely just leave my vote there.

Between, Autumn and saldana, I'd prefer to lynch saldana, as I think we'll get more info from that lynch.

Hmm... could you expand on how we end up with more info with saldana lynched over Autumn?

I realize my vote is on saldana, too, of course, so it may seem odd to challenge your vote. But your reasoning seems strange to me.

We don't really have anything to go on yet, IMO, and I don't know how it makes a difference at this point whether we lynch saldana or Autumn (or someone else).

IMO, Day One votes are only useful if we have a close vote and we see deadline vote changes, which might indicate a wolf is on the block. Otherwise, they're usually pretty useless until we can look back on them after some kills/lynches have revealed allegiances.

I disagree. We can look at what people don't do as much as what they do.
So, two reason:
1. If saldana is a cultist, then mauchow becomes a lot more suspicious. I don't think the reverse (we lynch mauchow and he turns out to be a cultist) really incriminates saldana. Brit and Autumn become really suspicious as well for voting for someone else immediately afterwards. You and JAG would be cleared.

2. His innocence would clear mauchow, and probably path and EagleFan as well, at least from being part of the wolf faction.

I don't agree with your reasoning. No matter what side mau is on, he wasn't going to vote saldana in a 2-1-1-1-1 race and make it 3-1-1-1-1.

I am not worried at all about a tie at the moment with two votes still outstanding and 3+ hours until deadline.

He's pinging you for his defense of Autumn though, right? So wouldn't the logical play be to vote for Autumn, who has votes, rather than introducing a new candidate?

And if I need to go there, I might, but I'd still rather go font. His posts could simply be tentative wolfy posts, but not necessarily protecting someone specific.

I do think font's vote and reasoning was a bit out of the ordinary, but I think it could also be chalked up to not knowing her play style as this is her second game (and the previous one was not a normal game of voting).

But if I'm wrong, she could also be trying to protect someone else who had one vote at the time, trying to make it a two villager race between Autumn and saldana. That isn't me, so it would be either Mau or DT, so I went with the one I thought was slightly more suspicious.

It was not a normal game, but I was impressed with font's play and posting last game. Unfortunately for him/her? that makes me less likely to give the benefit of the doubt on day 1 where there is little to go on.

How is putting me ahead 4-2-2 making it interesting? usually that means making it a close race, not putting someone further ahead.

When you say cultist do you mean wolf? Because my assumption is that the cultist does not know who the wolves are and vice versa (I could be wrong but IIRC that's usually how it works).

Because if we lynch sal and he is good, then mauchow becomes more suspicious to me as a wolf. Frankly right now when we know nothing he strikes me as the cultist, but I'm not familiar with his playstyle.

And I don't understand how that would clear me.

Gotta run, will leave my vote where it is. Will try to be around again before deadline.

Putting a bit of pressure on 6 people is a lot like putting pressure on no one. Why respond to a vote when it's so unlikely that that one vote is going to go anywhere? I wanted to narrow down the field a bit, to see how people would react. Voting for someone who one vote or less wold not accomplish that goal.

Yes, I meant wolf. Sorry.

I should specify that when I said "clear" earlier, I meant that their actions become less suspicious.

There might be confusion about this, so thought I would put it up there from the rules. The cultist does not know who the wolves are.

Although it does not state it in the rules, I presume, as per usual, that the wolves do not know who the cultist is.

Yes, but usually the cultist does not know the identify of the wolves at the beginning of the game. They are just like a vanilla villager trying to figure out the wolves, except to help / protect them.

You dont have to answer if you it makes you uncomfortable Font, but do you know anyone here in real life? I am asking because it helps explain some in game behavior sometimes. For example, Saldana and Lathum are real life friends, so never vote eachother day 1. I am real life friends with Darth, so all else being even, I almost always vote elsewhere (though he seems to not mind voting me lol).

Exactly. And Danny is a Kings fan, so as a Ducks fan, I am obligated to see him out of the game, preferably with a nasty hip check.
