Golden Scribe Nomination Introduction
It's a brisk day in Indianapolis and two guys are standing on the back porch of a house, leaning over a snow covered grill that one appears to pretend to be using as a podium. There are a couple of bored and slightly annoyed looking folks standing in the yard facing them.
"Hello, is this thing on? I want to thank you all for joining us here this fine day in my backyard. I'm sterlingice and this is my fellow judge, MacroGuru" *gestures* "FOFC couldn't spring for any better accommodations for us today to announce the nominees and, really, whose bright idea was this, anyway, to do this opposite the NFL playoffs on a football board" *MacroGuru whispers something* "Oh, mine, right. Ahem. Well, uh, um. Um. Uh. Yeah, so we're here today to announce the nominees for the 2011 Golden Scribes awards! But first, we have to make a few notes about the process. Please refer to the pamphlets we handed out at the start of the proceedings entitled Judging Decisions for more details." Judging Decisions:
Voting will begin once the nominees and voting procedure is posted below, so, let's just say, 7pm this evening. It will conclude on Monday, January 17th at 11:59PM ET! The Awards show will start shortly thereafter and run until complete. And now, without further adieu, your 2011 Golden Scribes Nominees!" (NOTE: The nominees for a category are in no particular order and the categories are also in no particular order EDIT: The categories are now in order they will be presented at the show. The nominees are not in any particular order except that the top one received the most nominations- other order is random) SI

We're just finishing up DOY noms. 2008 was easily the toughest year to make noms- there's one juggernaut and then the least noms of any other year. 2009 is difficult in another way as there were 6 dynasties that would have been DOY candidates in any other year but we could only take 3.

Oh hell. Macro and I made a judging decision. All 6 from 2009 will be nominated as there were 6 with 4 nominations. Any other year any one of them would have been the top dynasty or tied for the top. After a rough 2008, it was a banner year in this cycle.
2009 also had the top nominated dynasty of the entire proceedings with 8 noms (5 noms, 3 DOY noms) in You'll Never Walk Alone (FM2010) SI

Presenters, let me know if there are some issues with your assignments. Hopefully, everyone is ok with what they have. If necessary, keep in mind, you can't change into a category where you are nominated. More than 1 vote for a category will disqualify all of your votes in that category 3. You don't have to vote for every category for your ballot to be counted. Hey, I don't know anything about Werewolf either but I can vote on the others  4. I like this idea a lot, and it's inspired me to start writing a dynasty (or four) of my own. I haven't had a chance to read through most of the dynasties, but how common is it to post pictures? If I'm running a FOF dynasty, just screen shot it and paste it in MSPaint?
Also, I have read some of the dynasties, but not all. So when I get a chance, I'll read those up for nominations and cast some votes. Again, great idea! I love anything that spurs and encourages creativity!

They run the gamut from pure text to very graphic intensive. I'd point out a couple of examples but I don't want to bias the voting too much.
Heck, there are quite a few games that output easy to generate images or HTML for dynasties to display. SI
