Strategy and Game Plans

Offense
I'm going with a balanced offensive attack. All of my starting Offensive Linemen are good at run blocking so where I attack will depend a lot of my opponent's defensive line. Passing, I'll be taking more shots downfield than I did last year. Britton gives us a viable deep threat now thanks to his very high Big-Play Receiving rating (96 - he has a pretty low "Getting Downfield" rating - 24 - so he isn't going to do all that well running short routes).

Defense
Attack, attack, attack. I'll be running mostly 2-Deep Loose Man and 1-Deep Loose Man, except in obvious passing situations. I'm also going to be blitzing Arrington and June a lot. I'm going to make opposing QBs afraid to face my team. Madison will get put on the opposing team's top WR while I'll give McPhearson some help, although he should be fine now against most 2nd WRs. My defensive backs are very good at what they do (Madison - Man-To-Man, Wilson and Demps in Zone. McPhearson still has to develope, but he has good Man-To-Man potential) so sending in a lot of blitzes should be fine. We'll see how it goes.

Week 1 Scouting Report - Philadelphia Eagles

For Offense (Their Defense)
They do not match well against the run. 3 of their 4 defensive linemen have moderate to bad (<50) Run Defense attributes, plus their outside linebackers can't stop the run either. Trotter, their MLB, is the only front seven player with a high Run Defense (92). The other highest is Bunkley at 60/85. 26/34, 42, 47 are the other 3 linemen. 28/72 and 46 are the two OLBs.

Add to that, the Eagles have really good Defensive Backs. Lito Sheppard, Sean Considine and Brian Dawkins could all be Pro Bowlers, and Sheldon Brown is also a decent corner (overall 44). I do not want to throw against that all day. I'll be upping the amount I run considerably, hoping to catch their defense offguard when I pass.

For Defense (Their Offense)
McNabb led the Eagles to a Super Bowl win last season and won the league MVP. However, two things work in my favor. 1) He fumbled 11 times. I may get one or two turnovers off of his fumbling. 2) His receivers, while good, both have horrible Big-Play Receiving attributes and McNabb only has 30 for Deep Passes. That means I don't have to worry about the deep ball as much and can hopefully keep them from making big plays.

The OL of the Eagles are much better at pass blocking than at run blocking. In fact, they only have an average RB in Ryan Moats. I should be able to play the pass most of the time and still keep Moats in check.

So the plan for the game is to stick with my Man coverage, blitz a lot, and play the pass a lot. I don't fear their run game or the deep ball.

2Q: 05:58 NYK - Jay Feely 30 field goal

The word that best describes this game: ugly. Especially at the end of the game.

Our defense was great, though. We held their running game in check and keyed on the pass most of the day. We got two picks, both in the 4th quarter. We got to McNabb several times, but some were nulled because of penalties (more on the penalities in a minute). They couldn't get any offense going. Their only touchdown came when they got the ball deep in our territory off of an INT from Manning.

McNabb was predictably completing a lot of his throws until the 4th quarter. He was throwing short all day and we kept everything in front of us. It wasn't until the 4th that he started throwing deep, and he couldn't hook up with anyone (the vast majority of his incomplete passes were in the 4th quarter. He was 18/26 at the start of the 4th quater and finished the game 22/42).

On offense, we didn't do quite as well as I hoped, yardage wise. Barber got his 100+ yard day, but barely. 102 yards rushing on 28 attempts. He did get credit for our two TDs though. At the beginning of the 4th, we got on the goalline off a pass from Manning and Barber took it in. On the next drive, again we get close off a nice pass from Manning, and again Barber finishes it off.

The 4th quarter, after our 2nd TD to go up 19-7, saw both teams have a discipline meltdown. 26 penalties total in the game, 11 coming in the 4th quarter. We had 6 penalties in the 4th quarter, all on defense, most of them giving the Eagles a first down. Plus, those 26 don't count the penalties that got declined, which there were a few in the 4th quarter declined.

A nice win over the defending Super Bowl champs, anyway. Good job overall by my team on both sides of the ball, but those penalites killed both teams.

Week 2 Scouting Report

vs. New Jersey Jets

For Offense (Their Defense)

They run a 3-4. Their LDE (Shaun Ellis) and SLB (Victor Hobson) are very good against the run, but everyone else in their front 7 is not. The difference between the Jets and Eagles is that, other than running a 3-4, the DBs for the Jets are also bad to average against the run. I'll just run the same plan as I did against the Eagles, with the exception of upping the inside running a bit.

For Defense (Their Offense)
The Jets are led by Tyrone McCartney, the 5th overall pick in the draft. He has a ton of potential, but that's not important right now. They have good receivers, a good back, and a pretty good line (the only weakness being the RT). I'm going to run my base defense, trying to play run in running situations, and pass in passing situations.

The game started off slow just like the Eagles game. We gave up a FG and took awhile to match it. We were moving the ball, but our drives always stalled just after midfield. On one drive, Brandon Jacobs took a pass 45 yards and fumbled the ball. The Jets got it back.

In the second half, we did a lot better. We still couldn't get it into the endzone, but we were getting it close enough to start kicking field goals. We also got a touchdown thanks to Will Demps taking an INT all the way.

And, just for the hell of it and to rub it in their faces, we kicked a very long FG with 14 seconds left.

Overall, it was a fine game, but our offense needs to finish drives. I also need to throw it long more oftan. Too many short passes. Our defense is top-notch. We pressured McCartney all day. 9 hurries, 5 sacks, 8 knockdowns. Add to that 2 Interceptions and 5 defended passes and it was a good day against the pass. We shut the run down effectively as well, only giving up 62 rushing yards on 18 attempts.

Week 3 Scouting Report

vs. Tampa Bay

For Offense (Their Defense)
This is another team that has a low ability to stop the run. Their DBs are pretty good, except for their free safety. Their DEs and OLBs are worse at Run Defense than their DTs and MLB, so I'll be running a lot around the ends. Their safeties are also a bit worse than their CBs, but their LBs are terrible at pass defense so when I throw, it'll be all over the field.

For Defense (Their Offense)
They have a pretty good line, but are weak at RT and LG. Their QB, Bruce Gradkowski, is terrible and their RB, Carnell Williams, is one of the best in the league. They also have a very good TE in Alex Smith and an excellent FL in Michael Clayton. Still, I think I need to focus on Carnell Williams and key on the run.

Well this turned out to be quite the horrible game for us. We started off well. He sacked Gradkowski on the first play, intercepted him on the second and got a touchdown out of it. That was pretty much the end of our good day.

Gradkowski threw all over us. We could not stop the pass at all. We did fine against the run, for the most part. But something was up with my defense.

We stayed in the game until the 4th quarter. Manning would end up throwing 3 picks on the game. My offensive line could not protect him. He was fine in the 1st half, but in the 2nd half, they kept getting to him.

Week 5 Scouting Report

vs. Dallas

For Offense (Their Defense)
The Dallas defense is filled with superstars and tomato cans. Their NT and RDE are terrible, as is their SILB, but everyone else in their front 7 are very good. Their DBs, for the most part, and pretty good as well. Through 4 weeks, they have one of the best defenses in the league. I'm going to focus on running the ball, but I'm also going to be taking shots down the field.

For Defense (Their Offense)
Their offense is only average. What I see in Dallas is very similar to Tampa Bay. A bad QB, a pretty good RB and a few really good receivers. Against Tampa, I focused on stopping the run, and their receivers destroyed my secondary. In this game, I'll focus on the pass, and hope that the Run Defense of my front 7 makes up for it when they run the ball.

The first quarter was a disaster. They had a punt returned for a touchdown, and our defense gave up a big 51 yard run that setup a touchdown pass. We got a few turnovers, but just gave the ball right back to them. We get a fumble, 2 plays later we fumble it back to them. We get an interception, Manning throws a pick right back to them. Gentile also had a really good kick off return, but he fumbled at the end of it. 3 turnovers for us in the first quarter (and first few minutes of the 2nd) to their 2 turnovers. We had the ball within stirking distance of the endzone twice, and we screwed it up.

We finally got on the board with 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. We had them pinned down at the 3 when they punted, giving us a short field to work with and we finally got a touchdown off a nice drive. But then our defense just lets them drive down the field and get another touchdown.

In the 3rd quarter, we started to take over the game. We blocked a punt and took it back for the touchdown to make the game 21-17. After a few drives, Pierce comes up with an INT that put us deep in Dallas territory. A few plays later, we've taken our first lead in the game, 24-21.

In the 4th, we went back to our 1st half play and coughed up the ball for our 4th turnover of the game when Barber gave them the ball at midfield. On that drive, Dallas tied the game with a FG.

On the next drive, we get the ball to midfield where our drive stalls and try a long FG. We miss, again. Feely's 3rd missed FG for the game. Dallas just drove right down the field and got the touchdown.

Pretty much the difference in this game was turnovers and big plays. They gave the ball up 3 times, we gave it up 4 times. We missed a few FGs as well. I think I may pull back on how long I will let Feely try and make a FG. Dispite him having 86 in Accuracy and 74 in Power, he's just not making the FGs.

Our defense gave up a few big plays that let Dallas keep drives alive.

Our running game never really got going, but Manning had a pretty good day. A lot of those incomplete passes came in the final two drives as we were trying to get the game tied again.

A Look At Our Offense
Manning is not doing too good. 64/133, 870 yards, 6.54 yrds/att. Not too concerned about those stats since I have been, to this point, mostly a rushing team. However, 2 TDs and 5 INTs is not good at all. There were two plays where the receiver was tackled at the 1 yardline and Barber finished it off, so he could very easily have 4 TDs, but that's still not good enough. Those INTs are too much.

Barber has been doing decent as well. 74 rushed, 319 yards, 4.31 ave, 4 TDs. Jacobs has been doing decent as well. 31 carries, 126 yards, 4.06 ave. Not great numbers, but not bad either.

The receivers haven't been doing all that great, though. Toomer has 15 receptions out of 29 targets. Shockey has 12 catches on 21 targets. Britton has 12 catches on 32 targets. Toomer 2 drops, Shockey 2 drops, Britton 4 drops. Defenses have been shutting down my receivers so far. Gentile, however, has come through. 9 receptions on 16 targets. He leads my team in yards per reception and has the two TDs I have gotten out of the passing game.

My linemen are terrible at pass blocking, but overall have been decent in pass protection. We've given up 10 sacks, which puts us in the middle of sacks allowed. However, watching my games, I get the impression that Manning is getting hurried a lot (no stat tracking on hurries for a QB). Not sure how to remedy that with my linemen. I'm probably going to have to pull back on how much I throw it long.

I'm 13th in rushing and 13th in passing (14th overall). I'm 32nd, dead last, in 3rd down conversions. That has to change., considering my team is in the middle on Yards to Go average on 3rd downs.

A Look At Our Defense

Cato June has done what I brought him in to do. 28 tackles and 4.0 sacks, leads my team in both stats. Arrington has 21 tackles and 1 sack. Sam Madison is also doing his part, 11 tackles, 6 assists and 3 INTs. He has a 94.5 PDPct (4th among DBs with 75 or more pass plays). and tied with 1st in number of INTs.

Strahan has been getting to the QB as well (1.5 Sacks, 7 Hurries). Umenyiora as well (2.5 sacks, 3 Hurries).

Antonio Pierce has been a disappointment so far. He only has 17 tackles, putting him on pace to only have 68 tackles at the end of the year. His only real role in my defense is to stop the run. He isn't a pass rusher nor is he good in pass defense.

My team is 10th vs the Run and 12th vs the Pass (10th overall). I love defense and I want those rankings higher. Our one bright spot is that our defense is #1 on 3rd down conversions (22.2%). One thing that worries me is that we are 23rd in PDPct. Once teams figure that our, we could be in trouble.

A Look At Special Teams
Feely is 10/14 in FGs, 2/6 in 40+ and 1/3 in 50+. I expect him to miss those 50+ FGs more than half the time, but the stats means he's 1/3 in 40-49 FGs. That is not good enough.

Benson has punted 22 times for an average of 45.0 yards (8th). He's also put it inside their 20 7 times (32% of the time).

Gentile averages 10.3 yards on punt returns (12th). but only averages 19.0 on kick returns (I'm not counting down that far). I'm going to try someone else back there.

RT Kareem McKenzie - Strained Elbow Tendon - OUT for 7 Weeks

Week 6 Scouting Report

vs. Detroit

For Offense (Their Defense)
Their LDT, Shaun Rogers, is excellent vs the run (98). The rest of the DL is 50-60. Their SLB and MLB are also good against the run, but their WLB is not. I'm going to hope that my OL, which is built for the run, will do a good job against them. They are pretty weak in the secondary, so I'm going to use this game as my test for my passing game. I'm going to be throwing against this team, oftan.

For Defense (Their Offense)
Most of their offense is average to good. A superstar or two are there. Their Tight End, Marc Dobson, is very good. So is their LG, Damien Woody, and Center, Dominic Raiola. Their tackles are terrible as is their RG. There is no reason Strahan, Umenyiora, June and Arrington should not be on Kitna all day long. I am worried a bit by their RB, who has excellent Hole Recognition and Elusiveness. For the most part, I'm sticking with my base defense (favoring pass and blitzing like crazy)

Week 6 Game Report

played in Detroit, MI

68 degrees, fair, calm

Our troubles continued. Manning throws a bomb on the first play at it's picked off. They drive down and get a FG. Later in the 1st quarter, we also continued out policy of giving them the ball back when we get a turnover. They fumbled and we got the ball at their 37, but a few plays later as we easily drive down the field, Barber coughs the ball up and they get it back.

Finally, in the 2nd quarter, things come together and we get a touchdown on an almost 80 yard drive. But they answer by driving right back down the field after a really good kickoff return to get the TD back and go up 10-7. We're able to put together a nice 2-minute offense at the end of the first half to take the lead on a Barber 3 yard TD run (again, set up by a long pass from Manning that put us right near the goal line).

My two disappointments with the first half were the 2 turnovers on offense and our defense overall. Kitna is throwing all over us and we aren't putting enough pressure on him.

We start off the 3rd quarter by getting a fumble from them as they were driving down the field on us. Shockey returns the favor by giving them the ball back. They get a FG on that drive to pull within 1.

We get it back on the next drive by kicking a 46 yard FG. People have said that they don't consider Avoid Drops an important attribute. But I'm getting tired of seeing "Receiver dropped a very catchable ball." I think I'm going to have to disagree with those people. While it may add up to "hust a handful of drops per season", just 1 or 2 drops in each game (when you consider all receivers) could be the difference between 7 or 3, or even 7 and none, on a drive.

With about 6 minutes left in the game, Manning throws his second pick of the game (of course, on a drive following a taekaway from our defense....). They score the go ahead touchdown on the following drive. Manning throws a 3rd pick after getting sacked on 1st and 2nd down.

I know "wow, how life-like" concerning Manning, but his attributes in my game shows that he is an absolute stud. I don't know where all of these ints are coming from...

Week 7 Scouting Report

vs. Green Bay

For Offense (Their Defense)
Their DL can not stop the run, their LBs can, their corners can not and their safeties can. I have no faith in my line to protect Mannng so we will be running it down their throats. They also can not stop the pass, but without protection, I can't really throw deep so we'll be throaing it short as well.

For Defense (Their Offense)
Their offensive line is horrible, as is their split end. Tight End is pretty good and their Flanker, Greg Jennings, is a stud. I'll be double teaming Jennings all day. I've got burned on stopping the run and getting thrown on all day, so I'm going to keep with my protecting the pass strat and hope my guys adjust well to running plays. I am worried by their RB, rookie Norbert Coleman, though. But their line can't block so I should be ok.

Week 7 Game Report

played in New York, NY

50 degrees, fair, 5 mph wind

The story of the first half was turnovers. Their's, for a change. 2 picks and 2 fumble recoveries is the only reason we are still in the game at the half. One pick by Madison in the endzone and one by Cato Juno at our 12. Other than that, they threw all over us. We got pressure here and there, but not good enough. Despite their horrible offensive line, they are also having success running the ball on us.

Our offense is just dead. Manning is getting pressured. He's able to avoid the rush well on his own (three plays where he avoided it), but our line just can't block. Barber isn't doing too well on the ground either. We also lost Britton early in the 2nd quarter.

We lead 10-7 at the half, thanks to a fumble by Green Bay deep in their own territory late in the 2nd quarter.

The third quarter saw our defense get into a groove. We held them to only 30 yards of offense. Still, our offense didn't do all that much more as we gained about 70 yards but could only get a FG to make it 13-7.

I already like my pick of the punter in the draft. I've been seeing him pin them deep in their own territory a lot. Near the end of the 3rd, he put them on their onw 6 and they couldn't get going. Our defense stopped them and got really good field position to start the 4th. Tony Williams has been a machine at knocking down passes in this game as he knocked down his 3rd pass to end their drive.

I've grown to really hate my offensive line. Manning isn't even getting enough protection to throw a damn screen pass!

Green bay gets the ball at our 37 and drive for the touchdown to take the 14-13 lead with 1 minute left. Our offense turns it on when it counts, and Manning drove us right down the field and we kick the go ahead FG with just 22 seconds left. We finally are able to breathe a sigh of relief as Madison picks off a long bomb from Rogers to end the game.

5 turnovers to our zero turnovers, and we STILL almost lost the game. I'm happy to come away with the win, but damn was that scary.

Week 8 Scouting Report

vs. Chicago

For Offense (Their Defense)
I am sitting Greg Britton for this game and Carter will start for him. Their defense is damn good and there's not much I can do. I will be running mostly to the left (as their RDE and RDT are poor to average run defenders). Brian Urlacher is out for the game, so that will make running considerably easier. Well, hopefully. Base offense will be ran, with a slight weight added to the running game.

For Defense (Their Offense)
The right side of their offensive line is very weak, but that's their only real weakness. They don't have many strengths either, as most of their offensive players are average. Their starting flanker is great, and their LT is the best lineman in the league (John Tait). I'm going to favor the pass, as usual, and hope my run defense doesn't get caught flat footed.

Week 8 Game Report

played in New York, NY

48 degrees, rain, 13 mph wind

An ugly first quarter. 2 big defensive stops only gives up 3 points, though. On the first stop, we sack them out of FG range, and the second came on a 3rd and 1 where our D stopped them for a lose. Then, Shockey takes a pass 50 yards (44 YAC) deep into their territory. On the next play, Manning is sacked for the second time on our 3rd passing play of the game. The ball comes out and they take it all the way to make it 10-0.

In the 2nd quarter, we manage to pull it together. Manning either got protection or created it himself (saw a few 'avoids the rush' type messages) and completed every pass on the drive. We get it on the goalline and stall, but on 4th and goal at the 1, we go for it and Barber gets us the touchdown to make it 10-7.

The Bears then go on a very long and time consuming drive that featured a 4th and 1 converted for a first down, and 3 other 3rd down conversions. They score the touchdown at the end and go up 17-7.

Our next drive goes nowhere and on their next drive, they take the ball down and kick the FG to make it 20-7.

In the first half, Griese went 11/13 and Manning went 10/10. Both teams are throwing all over the other but we haven't been able to get anything going on the ground.

Our first drive in the 3rd quarter started off well, but after an 8 yard run, Barber coughs the ball up and Chicago recovers. A few plays later, Cedric Benson breaks a 31 yard run for the touchdown.

On the next drive, we get a running game going as Barber gets us in FG range almost by himself. However, we don't get the FG.

In the 4th quarter, our defense pretty much held them back. But we couldn't get back into the game. They started getting to Manning again, and hurried him a few times, and my receivers started dropping passes left and right.

This game was a disaster from our very first drive. None of the breaks went our way as we lost 2 fumbles to them, while they recovered their own fumble. We also couldn't get a running game going in the 1st half. Our team seemed to move the ball, but we turnned it over at the worst times. Our defense seemed to do well, but they converted 7/15 on 3rd downs. That's terrible!

This game made us 0-3 in games when it rains so far this season.

RT Kareem McKenzie - Strained Elbow Tendon - OUT for 5 Weeks
MLB Robbie Mattox - Pulled Groin - Questionable (moderate risk) for 3 Weeks
MLB Walter Woods - Strained Patellar Tendon - Questionable (moderate risk) for 3 Weeks

We finally got Rex Allman back from that pulled hamstring injury. Time to throw him in there and see what he can do.

Week 9 Scouting Report

vs. Minnesota

For Offense (Their Defense)
Their LDT and RDE are both very good, while their LDE and RDT are decent. They are very weak at Linebacker. They have a pretty good defensive backfield. I'll primarily run it up the gut and throw it short.

For Defense (Their Offense)
Their offensive line is pretty good. I probably won't get much of a rush as they are all good at pass blocking. I'm going to keep blitzing as much, but pull back on how oftan I blitz multiple players. Pretty much the standard game plan. Favor pass defense and let my front 7 pick up the run.

Week 9 Game Report

played in Minnesota, MN

68 degrees, fair, calm

Our defense starts off strong, forcing Brad Johnson to go 1-3 for -1 yards passing for their first drive. We answer with a decent drive, but offensive holding back us up to 3rd and 11 and fail to convert. We hit the 46 yard FG to take an early 3-0 lead. Not much else happens the rest of thr first quarter. We both move the ball a bit, but not much.

At the start of the 2nd quarter, however, they had a few 20+ yard plays that got them down the field to score a touchdown to go up 7-3. At the end of the half, it's 10-3. Our defense is starting to get manhandled. Their offensive line is beating my line (I'm seeing a LOT of text of the offensive lineman making a hole for the RB). On offense, we just can't get anything going. Oh, and Gibril Wilson got injured again on Minnesota's FG at the end of the 1st half.....*sigh*

It seemed like we started to get something going in the 3rd quarter, but Manning throws a pick deep in their territory. Minnesota then makes a few more big plays to go up 17-3. We do nothing the rest of the game.

Our offense is terrible and I have to believe that it is my offensive line. I'm always seeing Manning getting rushed, sacked, and throwing picks. Our offense just can't get down the field. All of my skilled position players are rated well, but my offensive line just simply can't pass block.

It's not all bad. RG James Schlegel is developing (gained 3 points overall since the start of the season to be at 54/67). He can't pass block, of course, but I don't make that a huge priority in a guard. Guy Whimper at 60/67 is a decent lineman. Very high endurance, 47/62 RB, 65/71 PB, 56 BS. Morris Settle (18/49) is in for the injured McKenzie. He will be a decent backup some day, but he's terrible now. The rest are....I hate my offensive line.

We are getting a decent pass rush off (11th), and we do a good job of taking the ball away (3rd). We were 1st on 3rd down conversions, and now have dropped to 12th. WQe have really shot ourself in the foot on 3rd downs the past few games.

So where is the problem on defense? Ratings-wise, I can't see it all. I am weak at 2nd CB and Wilson has spent most of the season hurt. Maybe that's it. But maybe it's the conflicts between Antonio Pierce and some of my defense, not to mention Lavar Arrington being a red-flag player. Cofield and Kiwanuka both have conflict with Pierce. DT Fred Robbins does have an affinity with pierce, and so does Justin Tuck (be he's inactive).

I just cut R.W. McQuarters and signed FS Will Allen. Allen has an effinity with Demps.

Week 10 Scouting Report

vs. Philadelphia

For Offense (Their Defense)
S Sean Considine is out, so there is a void at Safety. They also aren't very good stopping the run (28th) but very good against the Pass (3rd). We will run it down their throats.

For Defense (Their Offense)
They have a good offense, but better passing than running. The standard favoring of the pass will be the plan for this game. I'm also going to pull back on the blitzing a bit.

Week 10 Game Report

played in Philadelphia, PA

58 degrees, rain, 9 mph wind

We start off our first drive with Manning getting sacked twice and being rushed into a bad throw. On the punt return, they return it 40 yards to our 7 yardline. They score on their first play to take the early 7-0 lead.

Our offense doesn't get much going. Manning is getting hit like crazy and ends up throwing 2 picks. The Eagles get a TD near the start of the 2nd quarter to make it 14-0. Our defense is shutting down their run and we're running it fairly well so far. But, our line won't protect Manning.

The Eagles go up 21-0 near the end of the half. We drive down the field, but then Manning throws his 3rd pick.

We continued to get destroyed in the 2nd half. We managed 1 Hurry on defense.....just 1 hurry....

So much for letting the AI handle my game plan. Guess I'll have to start handling it again.

Week 11 Scouting Report

vs. Washington

For Offense (Their Defense)
They have a great group of Linebackers, and decent DL and DBs. I'll stick to the usual plan of running the ball. I'm going to throw a bit long this game, although scale back the percentages so that most of the passes are going 9-18 yards.

For Defense (Their Offense)
With the exception of LT Chris Samuels, they have a very average offensive line. The offense really isn't that good. If we can't stop these guys, we can't stop anybody.

Weel 11 Game Report
played in Washington, DC

33 degrees, fair, 5 mph wind

Jay Feely misses a 42 yard FG attempt at the end of our 1st drive. He helps to make up for it by hitting 49 yarder at the end of the 1st quarter to tie the game at 3. We lose a fumble deep in our own territory soon after and they score on their drive.

On our next drive, we drive right down the field mostly through the air. Manning finally, FINALLY, throws a touchdown pass, a short 2 yard pass to Toomer on 3rd and Goal at the 2 to tie the game 10-10. Our defense, however, is terrible so they let Washington drive down and kick a FG to end the half.

If Manning isn't throwing picks, our players are putting it on the ground. After Washington made a FG to start the half (16-10 Washington), Toomer drops the ball after a 22 yard pass play and Washington has it. They score a touchdown on the following drive to make it 23-10.

At the start of the 4th, Manning throws a pick that is taken back for a touchdown. We get blown out by a pretty bad team.

Week 12 Scouting Report

vs. New England

For Offense
Their defense have been hurt by a few injuries and is very average right now. Hopefully our standard rushing attack will finally click.

For Defense
Very up and down. Some superstars, some people who would be on my bench. We'll probably get destroyed again.

Week 13 Game Report

played in New York, NY

41 degrees, fair, 9 mph wind

126 yard of offense in the first quarter, but we only managed 6 points on two field goals. Our defense is stuffing the Patriots so far, they only have 21 yard of offense.

Manning again drives us down the field in the middle of the 2nd quarter, but he's sacked on 1st and goal and we lose the ball to New England. We get it back back at midfield after they fumble it back to us. We then take it down and score right before the 2 minute warning to make it 13-0.

With 50 seconds left, Demps intercepts the ball to give us another chance to score. Tiki Barber on the first play breaks off a 58 yard run to get us all the way to the 3 yardline. A few runs and time outs later and we kick the easy 21 yard FG to make it 16-0 at the half.

They started getting to Manning in the second half, sacking him a few times. We have 5 fumbles (only 1 lost) by the start of the 4th quarter. Shortly after the 4th started, they score a touchdown to cut our lead to 16-10.

We hold them off until the 2 minute warning. They have the ball on their 20 yardline, and Gibril Wilson, finally healthy, picks the pass to end the game.
