Just catching up.. looks like I'm about to perform the best classic choke job ever! At least it has been exciting for everyone. I did a few non-traditional things that seemed to work at least to start..

Carlton Watkins gets walked with one out in the bottom of the 5th.

On the next at-bat, Charles Wilson throws the ball to first base, but over the head of Negrete. Dan Long advances to second, Watkins to 3rd. Still only one out.

Robinson pitches himself out of a jam, striking out a batter and then getting the next one to fly out, to keep the game tied at 2-2 heading into the bottom of the 6th.

Kendrick Hayes gets on with a 1-out single in the top of the 7th. But Robinson still manages to retire the side as we head into the bottom of the 7th in Game 9 of the 1977 FOOL Classic, with the score tied at 2 apiece.

We have a special guest for tonight's 7th inning stretch. That jersey she's wearing is for a little league softball team from LA called the Angels. In case you were wondering..I dunno that I'd go singing this song in front of the audience if I didn't know the words. But you know, that's just me.

Now back to the action!

Charlie Wilson walks Lagario to start to the bottom of the 7th inning.

George Baker bunts and Wilson again throws it away trying to get it to first. Two on, no one out in the home half of the 7th inning at StarKist Stadium in Hartford with the score tied 2-2 in Game 9 of the 1977 FOOL Classic.

Maybe Wilson should stop trying to pick off runners on first.

He's not throwing it away for pickoffs. He's throwing it away during grounders when he's just supposed to give it to the 1st baseman, but seems to hurl it past them. It's my lacking pBp skills.
