We bring in former NHL goalie Rob Tallas to be a specialized Goaltender coach for our young duo….. 13-12-2005 EDM-MTL trade Edmonton Oilers traded right wing Georges Laraque, defenseman Daren Elik and right wing Troy Bodie to Montreal Canadiens for center Jan Bulis and MTL 5th round pick in 2007 draft 2 names of note here…..dont know why Montreal gave up on Bulis….he had 75 points 2 years ago…. 20-12-2005 Chris Pronger reaches a milestone ! Chris Pronger scored the 100th goal of his career in tonight's game against the Nashville Predators on a feed by Carlo Colaiacovo. The coach gave me a chance to play, and I'm just trying to show him he made the right decision, he said at the post-game press conference. 21-12-2005 Darcy Tucker injured. Darcy Tucker (TOR) suffered ankle injury during the game in an incident with Joni Pitkänen (BUF). He is expected to be sidelined indefinitely. I just hope it won't require surgery, but I think it's inevitable, he said after the game in the dressing room. Tuckers bad luck continues….. 2-1-2006 Toronto Maple Leafs players selected to World Junior Championships World Junior Championships (U-20) in ice hockey are about to start. The tournament is being held in Ukraine. The following players from Toronto Maple Leafs organization have been selected to represent their countries: -Alexander Täng (SWE) -Andrei Rosovsky (RUS) -Aki Seitsonen (FIN) -Mike Card (CAN) 2-1-2006 Mario Lemieux has just passed Gordie Howe on the all-time points list….Mario got his 1851st point on a goal against us….With 38 points, in 38 games, Mario will be back for another year…..at least 12-1-2006 I think Ponikarovsky could win the Selke again, he keeps getting better…..This kid’s gonna be a star…. 16-1-2006 Team Canada has beaten Team Russia in the final of the 2006 World Junior Championships. GO CANADA!!!!!!!! 17-1-2006 With Ken Klee, and Carlo Colaiacovo both injured, I called up Ian White to play his first NHL game….White then scored his first NHL goal…..on the power play, in a 5-3 win over LA….Congrats kid….. 19-1-2006 Brian Leetch has again been voted to start for the North American all-star team….Mats Sundin was named to the World team….Here are the starters N.A.- Bertuzzi, Lemieux, Kariya, Redden, Leetch, Theodore World- Selanne, Forsberg, Naslund, Lidstrom, Kaberle, Aebisher Tomas Kaberle, I trade him away, and now he’s an all-star….perfect….. 21-1-2006 Joe Sakic reaches a milestone ! Joe Sakic(COL) scored the 1500th point of his career in tonight's game against the San Jose Sharks on a feed by Milan Hejduk. Yes, it's nice to break records but that's not the idea of this game, was the comment released to the press after the game. 1500 points…..that is pretty impressive, he his in very elite company…. 25-1-2006 Nik Antropov injured. Nik Antropov (TOR) suffered head injury during the game in an incident with Kurtis Foster (ATL). He is expected to be sidelined for more than a month. 1-2 months of no hockey will be harder to deal with than this injury believe me, was his comment to the press after leaving the game. This hurts…Nikky was playing really well, and will not be easily replace….I think this is an opportunity to see how Zach Parise or Matt Stajan can perform on a scoring line…. 27-1-2006 Zach Parise is a -2 in his first NHL game, a 4-3 loss to the Rangers…. 29-1-2006 Zach Parise’s audition with the big club is over…..He played poorly in a 4-3 ot loss to Detroit…. We are currently 34-13-1-5, for 74 points, tied with Montreal for first in the east, and the league Last edited by Johnny93g : 03-24-2004 at 09:42 PM. |

Feb 1st 06- March 13th trade deadline
8-2-2006 Andrew Brunette is picked up off waivers from Minnesota to Calgary 12-2-2006 EDM-WSH trade Edmonton Oilers traded Brad Isbister to Washington Capitals for Washington Capitals 4th round pick in 2007 draft Just a 4th rounder for Isbister….I know Isbister is pretty much a bust, but that’s really cheap…. 14-2-2006 Team World, crushed team North America 13-7 in the All-star game….The MVP was none other the Mats Sundin, with 2 goals and 4 assists….. 15-2-2006 Chris Gratton forced to retire at the age of 30 Chris Gratton has announced that he will be forced to retire from professional hockey after this season due to the serious injury received in tonights game. Anton Volchenkov, from the dirtiest team in the NHL, Ottawa was suspended just 4 games for the incident….4 games is nothing, what a terrible message this is sending to the league….. 25-2-2006 Huge blow, after a great come from behind win over Chicago, we found out that Owen Nolan will miss at least 2 months with a groin injury, with Tucker still out for a while, Im gonna need to make a trade….I was happy with the chemistry, but Parise and Stajan are not ready….I have a few idea in mind….. 26-2-2006 Toronto Maple Leafs trade Toronto Maple Leafs traded Chris Chartier and Luca Cereda to Washington Capitals for Jason Williams Ive wanted Williams for a while, the Nolan injury made me pull the trigger, he’s 25, and was rotting in Washington, as they qualified him, but Williams turned down the conract, so he hasn’t played anywhere this year….Chartier, and Cereda are both Solid prospects, but neither were in my short term, or long term plan….. 28-2-2006- Jason Williams scores the winning goal in his leaf debut, a 7-3 win over Anaheim…..The same night, Alexi Ponikarovsky scores a career high 15th goal…..he’s got 41 points this year, and on his way to becoming one of the premiere 2-way players in the NHL…..Nik Antropov is also ready to return from injury…. 3-3-2006- More bragging about Ponikarovsky…He gets an assist tonight, and also wins 2 fights…..one against superkid Alexander Ovechkin, and the other against rugged defensman Brad Ference…. 4-3-2006 Toronto Maple Leafs trade rumoured Colorado Avalanche are rumoured to be planning a trade sending defenseman Jean-François Corriveau, center Joe Sakic and defenseman Étienne Boyer to Toronto Maple Leafs for defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo That’s a doozy, I don’t see it happening though, I would have absolutely no place to pay Sakic…. 4-3-2006 MTL-BOS trade Montreal Canadiens traded defenseman Mitch Maunu, right wing Maxim Lapierre and left wing Jimmy Bonneau to Boston Bruins for left wing Sergei Samsonov and BOS 4th round pick in 2007 draft Montreal is looking very good, I predict a Leaf-Hab conference final, and our rivalry really heating up…. 3 days away from the deadline….the trades have started…. 11-3-2006 PIT-WSH trade Pittsburgh Penguins traded goaltender Tomas Duba and center Shane Endicott to Washington Capitals for right wing Viktor Kozlov Kozlov is getting old and starting to look like a bust, but im sure playing with Mario could fix that… OTT-WSH trade Ottawa Senators traded left wing Grant Potulny, right wing Mike Brown, defenseman Rocky Thompson and left wing Travis Allen to Washington Capitals for center Chris Drury Washington is officially dumping salary….Drury all of a sudden is my enemy… DET-NAS trade Detroit Red Wings traded center Samuel Boutin, left wing Jimmie Svensson and left wing Todd Moran to Nashville Predators for right wing Scott Walker Walker is a nice play….he will fit in well in Detroit…. We are 45-17-1-7, for 98 points, leading the NHL….. |

Johnny,
What do you have your sliders set to? Your dynasty made me load up EHM again! It was all I could do to keep from signing those sweet free agents that are out there at the start of the game, even though I was VERY tempted to sign Tverdovsky. Instead, the Avs signed him. Grrrrrrrrrrr! |

I know its difficult...I have a rule for free agents....If we suck.....I can sign 2 of them.....other then that...I will limit myself to 1, and only if they are from Ontario.....because the comp is slow offering deals, though they will.....I also dont let players retire unless they suck....hense Mario Lemeuix and Brian Leetch still playing....my sliders: scoring level-120, penalty-200, fighting-185, injury and trade diffuculty are both 200..... |

March 13th trade deadline- end of the regular season
Here are the noteworthy deadline deals: DAL-DET trade Dallas Stars traded defenseman Martin Vagner and goaltender Tobias Stephan to Detroit Red Wings for center Henrik Zetterberg Zetterberg has 52 points this year, and Dallas hopes he will replace Mike Modano…..Dont really know why Detroit did this though… WSH-CHI trade Washington Capitals traded defenseman Patrick Wellar, center Zbynek Novak and center Krystofer Kolanos to Chicago Blackhawks for defenseman Mike Green and CHI 5th round pick in 2006 draft More Salary dumping for Washington….The key to this deal is Mike Green….he’s only 20, and played 65 games this year in the NHL…..20 year old defensemen in the NHL are very rare….. NYR-PHO trade New York Rangers traded right wing Eduard Balmin and left wing Vaclav Sura to Phoenix Coyotes for defenseman David Tanabe Tanabe, seems older then 25, but he is solid… 14-3-2006 Brendan Witt claimed off waivers. Toronto Maple Leafs claimed Brendan Witt, who had been with Washington Capitals, off waivers. We finally got someone off waivers…..He could work his way into the top 6…possibly replacing Klee….Witt is a big, tough, physical dman….Capitals shed even more salary FYI….Mario Lemieux has moved further up the all-time leader board: Code:

Heres a Dallas Stars update:
Code:
As you can see, they couldn't score this year, the goaltending was awful as well....Turco started, with Tommy Salo backing up, and Checkmanek played the whole year in the minors.....I thought they would struggle, but they could get the #1 pick in the draft......Zetterberg was a steal, and will be the Stars top player for a while...Former Selke winner Jere Lehtinen was a -23.....can't win when your best defensive player sucks..... 1st round of the playoffs….
Toronto is predicted to win the series in 5…. John Leclair and Owen Nolan will probably both miss the entire series…. Goalie Matchup: Michael Tellqvist (35-17-5, 2.26gaa, .910sp) vs. Robert Esche (30-21-5, 2.52gaa, .909sp) Game 1: not the best start, Philly gets the first 7 shots of the game…..No score after 1…..unbelievable, Sandis Ozolinsh and Tony Amonte both get shorthanded goals on the same powerplay…..Nik Antrovpov makes it 2-1, after 2…..Amonte scores on a breakaway, but Sundin gets the leafs back in it with a powerplay goal…..7 minutes left….Mogilny dumps it in…Sundin fights off Brashear for the puck, he centers it to Roberts…..SCORES!!!!!...3-3….Roberts at the doorstep….Mogilny gets a elbowing penalty with 5 mins remaining….it seems like he takes a lot of penalties late in tied playoff games, and none in the regular season…..we kill it…but Roberts takes another penalty with a minute left….OT…..Tomas Vanek centers to Modano, he shoots, HE SCO….oh WHAT A SAVE BY TELLQVIST….reaching back and catching it before it crossed the line…..but Modano flips it to Roenick, HE SCORES….quick shot fools Tellqvist…..Final: 4-3 Phi in OT Game 2: Sundin scores 49 seconds in……Handzus ties it after 1…….Philly outshoots us 16-5 in the first…No scoring in the 2nd, shots are now 32-10 Philly….they are really outplaying us…..Modano scores on the powerplay……Gange scores shorthanded…..we’re playing our worst game of the year, at the worst possible time…..final 3-1 Phi Game 3: We don’t get outplayed in the first….and we lead on a Nik Antropov goal…2 former Dallas Stars, Sergei Zubov, and Mike Modano give Philly a 2-1 lead…..we need to play the 3rd like we played games 4-7 agaisnt the Sens last year…..with HEART……Well, it looks like we are playing with heart to start the period…..Ponikarovsky and Antropov are really working there butts off……Mats Sundin, is hit by Salvador, but keeps control of the puck….He shoots…..HE SCORES!!!!!....2-2…..11 mins remain…..and we are going to OT…..Pronger takes a dumb penalty a minute in….we kill it…Lindros takes the pick out of the corner…..he cuts in front of the net…….SCORES!!!!!!.....LEAFS WIN…….Final: 3-2 Tor in OT Owen Nolan took the morning skate, but said before the game, he wasn’t ready to dress quite yet, but hopes to play in game 5……great news….. Game 4: We hold Philly to 4 shots in the 1st and lead 1-0 on a Matt Stajan goal…..no scoring in the 2nd……Roenick ties it early in the 3rd…..Chris Pronger scores on a point shot Esche didn’t see……2-1…..Jason Williams puts it off the post and in on a breakaway….3-1…..Michael Handzus makes it 3-2…..with the goalie pulled Donald Brashear of all people tie it…..3-3…..time for OVERTIME for the 3rd time in the series……both teams come out hard, getting a few chances, but the goalies are standing tall…..off the draw, the puck comes to Jason Williams, who takes a wrist shot from a bad angle……SCORES!!!!!!.....LEAFS WIN….SERIES TIED AT 2…..Final: 3-2 Tor in OT Nik Antropov will be out of the lineup for about a week…..hopefully Nolan will be ready to go…..Colorado and Vancouver both win there series in 5 games…..No Leaf prospects are selected for the 2006 World Championships to be held in the Czech Republic….just got news that it will be another 6 months before Tucker will be back…..WOW…… Game 5: no home teams have won yet…..Nolan won’t play, Belak is in…….Roenick gets Philly up 1-0 after 1……JR and Amonte make it 3-0, before Jason Williams finally gets the Leafs on the board…..3-1 after 2……Brian McCabe brings us closer as Toronto has taken over the game…..Philly is on there heals…shots sense the 30 minute mark 17-2 Toronto….11 mins remain……Pilar shoots, save by Ecshe, rebound…..HE SCORES!!!!!....JASON WILLIAMS SCORES AGAIN….3-3….3 mins left…..Tomas Vanek shoots…CLANG….hits the post…rebound, trying to go high….WHAT A SAVE BY TELLQVIST….HE SAVED THE GAME…..lets go to OT….again……Brashear takes a penalty 2 seconds in…..but Gagne scores shorthanded…..Final: 4-3 Philly in OT Anaheim gets rid of San Jose for the second straight year in 6….Edmonton sends their series with Detroit to 7….Boston shocks New Jersey, winning in 6…. Game 6: Damn, Nolan still isn’t ready……one minor change….Brendan Witt is out…..Ken Klee is in….Gary Roberts opens the scoring….1-0 after 1….I don’t want to blow this lead, we need to extend it……no scoring in the 2nd…..McCabe….SCORES!!!!...a onetimer from Ponikarovsky…..Kapanen scores 15 seconds later….2-1…..Zubov ties it….we blew it….wheres the killer instinct……refs call back to back penalties on us…this is bs…do they know it’s the 3rd period of game 6….Amonte scores….obviously….I saw that coming a mile away….What a choke job….COME ON BOYS, PLAY SOME FRIGGIN HOCKEY……6 mins left….refs call 2 more penalties on us with under 4 mins to go….they don’t want to give us a chance…..Final: 3-2 Philly.. We blow a 2-0 3rd period lead, and the Refs give Philly 4 straight powerplays in the last 10 minutes…..Im gonna get fined for this….but these refs F$^$ING SUCK……2 teams were playing, maybe they should realize that…… Detroit beats Edmonton in game 7…..at least Florida beat the Sens in 7…..Montreal over NYI in 7…. 2nd round Matchups: Florida vs. Boston Montreal vs. Philly Colorado vs. Vancouver Anaheim vs. Detroit |

2005-06 Wrap-up part 2
I’ve got my eye on Greg Spicer for the upcoming entry draft, he scored 98 goals in junior last year, but he’s projected to go at #2, so if I want him, were gonna have to make a deal Here is Alexander Ovechkin’s career so far Code:
16-6-2006 Sebastian Centomo was the only Leaf named to a post-season all-star team…..Centomo was named the 2nd rookie team goalie….. 17-06-2006 The 2006 NHL Entry Draft is being held in Columbus, Ohio today…… 1. Washington selects Jon Szaloky….. 2. We have a trade(and this one hurt) Toronto trades there 1st round pick in this years draft, Toni Dahlman, and Matt Stajan to Dallas for the 2nd overall pick…… Toronto selects Greg Spicer, 4* forward, natural goalscorer 3. New York Rangers select Burke Appleberry The rest of our pics: 88. Jan Martinec, 5*, physical defenseman 118. Andrew Haggerty, 3*, all-around offensive forward 148. Nicolas Cardin, 1* goalie Not a great depth draft, but I got my guy….at a huge price….I didn’t want to give up Stajan, but they didn’t want Steen, or Wellwood. Spicer better pay off…. |

The offseason….
23-6-2006- We offer contracts to 3 of our unsigned junior aged players…..I usually don’t offer a contract tell they are 20….. In my second tough decision of the offseason(Stajan was the first) we will offer Mike Sillinger a 1 year deal, at a reduced price…..He played well for us, but im not sure at this point if we will need him, better safe then sorry I guess…… 24-6-2006 MTL-COL trade Montreal Canadiens traded left wing Marcel Hossa to Colorado Avalanche for left wing Sean Collins Fresh off a Stanley cup battle, they strike a deal…This could be a steal for the Habs, Collins is developing very nicely….. 25-6-2006….Mike Sillinger rejected our 1 year, 1.5 mil offer, bye Mike, hope you enjoyed your 2 years here…..We pick up the option on Alexander Mogilny’s contract…. 27-6-2006 Brian Leetch signs one more 1 year contract worth 7 million with us….this year, I included a team option….. Pittsburgh announced today they wont resign Mario Lemieux….Mario will probably play one more year, but Pittsburgh cant afford him……It will be weird seeing him playing for another team….. Gary Roberts, Ken Klee, and Mats Sundin have retired…..I forgot to change Sundin…..DAMN….Now its too late…..I cant get him back…….So long Mats, see you in the HALL OF FAME…..here is Mats Sundins short career….. Code:
other players who called it a career: Rob Blake, Teppo Numminen, Curtis Joseph….. 30-8-2006 Owen Nolan has been named the new Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs…..Alexander Mogilny, and Brian McCabe proudly wear the A’s In light of the Sundin retirement, im in the market for a forward….theres only one player who fits the profile I have for signing someone….and other teams are after him….lets see what happens….. 31-8-2006 New York Rangers signed UFA Andreas Dackell to a 3 year deal 1st signing of the offseason 2-9-2006 Steve Rucchin agrees on a contract. Steve Rucchin has signed a $5,000,000 per year, 2 year deal with the Calgary Flames. Detailed terms of the deal were not announced. Rucchin, from Thunder Bay, On decided Calgary was closer to home then Toronto….I think we will be alright, Parise is almost assured of making the team now….. Phoenix Coyotes signed UFA Ray Whitney to a 2 year deal 5-9-2006 Brian Gionta agrees on a contract. Brian Gionta has signed a $1,300,000 per year, 4 year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Detailed terms of the deal were not announced. Gionta had been without a contract for a year, he spent last season in Germany, I gave him a two-way contract, so I hope to have him play in the minors, but this could be a nice pickup…. Colorado Avalanche signed UFA Bryan Smolinski to a 4 year deal Los Angeles Kings signed UFA Espen Knutsen to a 2 year deal The waiver draft took place, and we made one claim….we got Pierre Hiedin back from Carolina…..take that Canes….. The 2006-07 Maple Leafs next….. |

2006-07 Toronto Maple Leafs
Center Eric Lindros- Takes the #1 center spot…..I’m sure he will perform that way Nik Antropov- Keep improving kid…I know I say that every year, but this year is a big opportunity Jamie Lundmark- Solid 1st year with the leafs, he will have better linemates this year Kyle Wellwood- outplayed Parise in training camp to make the team Brian Gionta- Taking a risk on him, will play on 4th line Wings Owen Nolan- Captain, heart and soul, and team leader Alexander Mogilny- could reitre this year, hopefully, he will have a great year and stick around Mike LeClerc- Chance to play a larger offensive role Jason Williams- Had some big goals in the playoffs Tie Domi- Could break the penalty minutes record this year Wade Belak- Has been solid, doesn’t hurt team on 4th line Darcy Tucker- 3 weeks away from returning from 2nd straight 10 month injury Brad Leeb- Played 30 games last year, and for the most part, played well Alexi Ponikarovsky- becoming a fan favourite, could be a future captain Defense Karel Pilar- Strong, steady, capable of more offensively Brendan Witt- I like him, players like Witt are needed to win games Brian Leetch- hasn’t lost anything Chris Pronger- being outplayed by Kaberle, hopefully, he will have a good year Carlo Colaiacovo- thought he was a offensive defensemen, but seems to be a rock in his own end Brian McCabe- I want him to regain his form from his Norris caliber 03-04 season Mike Rathje- 7th dman, will fill in when needed Pierre Hedin- Don’t really know where he fits in yet Goalies Michael Tellqvist- Very good 1st year as a starter Sebastian Centomo- Very good Rookie year |

Brian Leetch scored the 1100th point of his career in tonight's game against the Dallas Stars on a goal by Eric Lindros. All of them are special, but I'm going to remember this one the most, he said after the game in the dressing room.. We lost 4-3 to Dallas Columbus Blue Jackets claimed Brad Isbister(WSH) off waivers. New York Rangers claimed Bates Battaglia(MIN) off waivers. Buffalo Sabres traded Maxim Afinogenov to Washington Capitals for Washington Capitals 2nd round pick in 2008 draft New York Islanders claimed Todd Marchant(CBS) off waivers. Tampa Bay Lightning claimed Mike Grier(BUF) off waivers. 11-10-2006 Toronto Maple Leafs trade Toronto Maple Leafs traded TOR's round 4 pick in 2007 to Phoenix Coyotes for Pierre-Marc Bouchard Minor deal, but ive wanted Bouchard for a while 14-10-2006 Shut out by Ottawa, to fall to 0-4…..MATS, WHERE ARE YOU, COME BACK………..PLEASE………….. 15-10-2006 CGY-OTT trade Calgary Flames traded defenseman Robyn Regehr, right wing Roman Kliugin and defenseman Radek Kristel to Ottawa Senators for left wing Martin Havlat Welcome to my enemy list Robyn Regehr 17-10-2006 We finally win a game, 5-4 in ot over Philly 24-10-2006 We are struggling pretty badly, 2-6 so far…..Im contemplating signing Mario to save us…..no one has touched him yet….. 31-1-2006 Darcy Tucker returns after 9 months off with a shattered ankle….his return gives the team a huge boost, as we shut out Ottawa 3-0….. 4-11-2006 we seem to have turned things around, without signing anyone….Players who struggled at the beginning of the season, are starting to come on….Im talking about Antropov, Williams, Lundmark, LeClerc, and Lindros…..We might not be that bad… 5-11-2006 WSH-NJ trade Washington Capitals traded defenseman Jim Fahey, center Bruno Noiseux and center Andrew Joudrey to New Jersey Devils for center Scott Gomez I’ve never really been impressed by Gomez, he’s kind of a winer, a baby, and if he’s not in the perfect situation, he wont play well…..He’ll get a chance to be the man in Washington….. 12-11-2006 Darcy Tucker has now played in 7 games this year….he has 4 points, but we’ve won every game he’s played…..7 in a row…..what a lift he has given us…..we were 2-7-1 when he came back, now we are 9-7-1…… 18-11-2006 Tampa beats us 4-3 ending our 8 game winning streak…. 20-11-2006 Ken Hitchcock fired Dallas Stars have fired head coach Ken Hitchcock in order to shake up the team and get it out of the losing streak. The team has announced that Pierre Page will be taking over the position Just thought the Stars fans may be interested in this little tidbit….. 23-11-2006 Eric Lindros reaches a milestone ! Eric Lindros scored the 1000th point of his career in tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers on a goal by Alexander Mogilny. Things like this happen when you put the puck on the net. That's just good old-time hockey, he read from a prepared statement.. Congrats, big E, glad you could do it at home infront of friends and family….. We are 14-9-0-1 for 29 points, good enough for 5th in the east |

Joe Sakic is great. Other than that, they are vile bunch. Less so now, of course, with the departures of Claude Lemieux and, more importantly, Patrick Roy. But I hate them nonetheless. Good to see Les Habitantes take it to 'em!

This dynasty made me give EHM another try.
After spending an hour getting through the first week, I remember why I never got into it. Ah well, here's hoping EHM:FE is everything advertised.

Dec 1, 2006- Jan 30 2007
1-12-2006 Rookie of the month: Kyle Wellwood (C) NHL has awarded Kyle Wellwood (C) of Toronto Maple Leafs as Rookie Of The Month He registered 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points in 10 games last month. He also had 1 game winning goal. Nice way to start the month….Kyle started the season on the wing, playing with Lundmark, and Williams, but stuggled badly….he sat a few games and then replaced Gionta centering the 4th lineup…..and has played very well there…… 8-12-2006 Mike LeClerc is 30, and in the last year of his contract……he has not had the year I hoped out of him, but is still a solid player….im gonna see what I can get for him by putting him on the trade block…. 9-12-2006 Completed a home and home with the champs, Montreal….winning 3-1….and losing 3-2….. Nows a good time to post my hated list…..these are the biggest rivals for the 2006-07 Toronto Maple Leafs… 1. The Evil Ottawa Senators- cuz there EVIL 2. Philly Flyers- just eliminated us 3. Montreal Canadians- now that there good again…… 4. Boston Bruins- seems to give us lots of trouble 5. New Jersey Devils- we have good battles 6. Carolina Hurricanes- for eliminating Toronto in TurnerONU22’s Blue Jacket dynasty 14-12-2006 Mogilny is out a month……I either need to bring up Parise, or play Brad Leeb……hmmm…….. 25-12-2006 Parise is a lot more succusful during this call up….he’s got 4 points in 4 games so far…… 29-12-2006 Eric Lindros injured. Eric Lindros (TOR) suffered head injury during the game in an incident with Jeff Jillson (BUF). He is expected to be sidelined for at least three months. I don't have words to express how bad I feel about going on the injury list. We have to be able to overcome this, he said before being taken away for x-rays. What a blow…..Dont know what im gonna do……This isn’t good….. 2-1-2007 2 leaf prospects have been selected to participate in the 2007 world junior championships in Ukraine: -Andrei Rosovsky (RUS) -Alfons Cajander (SWE) Can’t believe Greg Spicer was cut from Team Canada….he’s got 48 goals in 36 games this year….. 5-1-2007 Mogilny is back….Parise will stay up and center Mogilny and Nolan….Im gonna send Gionta down….hopefully he will go unclaimed……. Gionta clears waivers….. 7-1-2007 Cam Barker agrees on a contract with Chicago Blackhawks. Cam Barker has signed a $9,500,000 per year, 3 year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks. Detailed financial terms of the deal were not announced. Barker is just 20 years old, and played just 5 games this year….he suffered a very bad wrist injury that will keep him out for another 3 months 16-1-2007 Canada beat Sweden in the Gold medal game to capture the world junior championship….the Czech republic won the bronze 26-1-2007 I should of said this before….but I forgot…..Tie Domi has become the all-time leader in Penalty minutes…..dethroning Tiger Williams ALL TIME PENALTIES Name PIM Games Tie Domi 4089 1151 Dave Williams 3966 962 Dale Hunter 3565 1407 Marty McSorley 3381 961 Rob Ray 3280 919 30-1-2007 Jamie Lundmark is now out for 4 months…..Crap…we are in big trouble….Im gonna have to do something I didn’t want to do though…….but right now, it’s the only way I see us not falling apart…..stay tunded to see what im talking about We are now 27-20-0-4 for 58 points….good for 5th in the east….but we are falling fast |

Feb 1st 2007-March 14th trade deadline….
3-2-2007 Alexander Steen was called up….and I don’t think he’s ready….but we need him now…..3 rookie centers are in the lineup….Wellwood, Steen, and Parise…..In his first NHL game against NJ….Steen played 6 mins, recording 32 penalty minutes……that’s 2 fights, 2 10 minutes misconducts, and 1 instigator penalty…..nice debut….we tied 1-1….. Parise looks like he will be in Toronto for a while…..So I decided it was time to name a new captain on the rock……Aki Seitsonen, playing his 1st year of professional hockey, gets the job….I’m hoping it will make im a better hockey player….. 13-2-2007 Its all-star weekend, and not 1 Maple Leaf has been invited to participate in the event……in response to this slap in the face, I will not cover any off the festivities….. 15-2-2007 We finally won a game, and scored some goals….we beat Colorado 5-3….Parise gets 2 assists….really working on a trade right now….we need a top 6 forward…. 18-7-2007 Bob Gainey fired Dallas Stars have fired general manager Bob Gainey in order to shake up the team and get it out of the losing streak. The team has announced that Bob Caccia will be taking over the position. Thought Gainey was in Montreal…oh well 20-2-2007 Dallas Stars traded right wing Frédéric Fournier and defenseman Andreas Knauss to Minnesota Wild for defenseman Colin White 22-2-2007 Toronto Maple Leafs trade Toronto Maple Leafs traded Pierre Hedin to Calgary Flames for Steve Rucchin Sure he shunned us a few months ago, but he’s the type of player we need right now 23-2-2007 We lose 2-1 to Calgary in Rucchin’s debut……we have won 1 of our last chance….We need Lindros back…. 26-2-2007 We WON, we actually won a game….Rucchin gets a goal and a assist in a 3-1 win over the Rangers…….. 1-3-2007 Rookie of the month: Zach Parise (C) NHL has awarded Zach Parise (C) of Toronto Maple Leafs as Rookie Of The Month He registered 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points in 12 games last month. He also had 1 game winning goal. 2-3-2007 Pittsburgh released Toby Peterson…he has struggled a lot, and isn’t young anymore….but we need help, so im willing to take a chance and sign him for the rest of the year…. 8-3-2007 Toronto Maple Leafs trade Toronto Maple Leafs traded Mike LeClerc to Tampa Bay Lightning for Doug Weight Tampa is not gonna make the playoffs, and Doug Weight isn’t getting younger…..Im trying to make the playoffs, which means we need to start winning NOW!!! Weight will help us do that….. 9-3-2007 Doug Weight makes his Leaf debut on a line with Antropov and Ponikarovsky…..he gets 2 assists as the Leafs beat Weights first team, the Rangers 3-1….. 10-3-2007 Nashville Predators traded defenseman Pavel Skrbek, left wing Jimmie Svensson and left wing Jean-François Dufour to Ottawa Senators for left wing Antoine Vermette and OTT 5th round pick in 2008 draft The trade deadline is tomorrow, and lots is going on……look for what happened next…..I’m sure we will make another deal….. We are currently 31-29-2-7, for 71 points, tied with Philly for 7th in the east……. |

The Kings released there 2004 first round pick Michael Deadmarsh…..My scout told me id be stupid not to pick him up, so I signed the 20 year old….In his first preseason game, Deadmarsh picked up 4 assists…..nice……. 18-9-2007 Patrick Lalime agrees on a contract with Calgary Flames. Patrick Lalime has signed a $9,500,000 per year, 2 year deal with the Calgary Flames. Detailed financial terms of the deal were not announced. No Maple Leafs were named a top 10 player….. |

2007-08 Toronto Maple Leafs
Center Eric Lindros- having a great regular season before another concussion, but had a great playoffs as well Steve Rucchin- came in and played well no matter where I put him Doug Weight- Centered Poni and Antropov, best line in the playoffs Kyle Wellwood- hopefully will chip in a little more this year Zach Parise- Could have been a calder nominee had he played the whole year Pierre-Marc Bouchard- sleeper, had a great year on the rock Jamie Lundmark- too bad about that injury last year, will jump back into the lineup Wing Owen Nolan- still the captain, will play on first line Jason Williams- Everyone wants him, but I’m not giving him up Darcy Tucker- was healthy last year Alexi Ponikarovsky- Great playoffs, my fav player on this team Nik Antropov- Still looking for a breakout, dominant season Greg Spicer- had a great training camp, he will probably end up back in junior, but I want to play him for a while first Wade Belak- 4th liner will take over the tough guys role from Domi Defense Chris Pronger- with Leetch gone, he’s the #1 guy Bryan McCabe- still looking for more offense from him Carlo Colaiacovo- getting better offensively every year Karel Pilar- Solid #4 dman Brendan Witt- will be the 7th defenseman John Doherty- Won the job Brendan Bell- will play regularly Goalies Michael Tellqvist- another very good year, and proved he can win in the playoffs Sebastien Centomo- sub par year as backup |

Don’t understand San Jose’s thinking here at all… 19-10-2007 Greg Spicer scored his first NHL goal in a 5-4 ot win over Vancouver…..he’s played well, but its time to send him back to junior….Spicer will probably be on the roster next year.. Boston Bruins traded Jonathan Girard to Los Angeles Kings for Los Angeles Kings 1st round pick in 2009 draft 13-11-2007 Player of the week: Alexei Ponikarovsky (L) NHL has awarded Alexei Ponikarovsky (L) of Toronto Maple Leafs as Player Of The Week He registered 5 goals and 1 assists for 6 points in 3 games last week. He also had 2 game winning goals. Poni is having a breakout year offensively…. 15-11-2007 St John just beat the Wilkes-Barre Penguins 5-0, and Marc-Andre Fleury was in net….I can’t believe he is in the minors, whats wrong with Pittsburgh…He’s 22….he is making 9 million dollars, and has the best ratings in the league…Pens are nuts…. 24-11-2007 Phoenix Coyotes claimed Sami Kapanen, who had been with Philadelphia Flyers, off waivers. 2-12-2007 Carolina Hurricanes claimed Alexei Kovalev, who had been with Montreal Canadiens, off waivers. Montreal didn’t want to pay his 7.5 mil dollar contract….but still….Kovalev had 29 points in 24 games….. We are currently 18-6-2-3, for 41 points, tied for 1st in the east |
