Me neither plus this is one game that I know I will get my 60 dollars worth out of. I've played hundreds of hours of each one. Under a dollar per hour of entertainment is hard to beat!

It should also be noted that GreenManGaming has this for $47 right now. It tempts me a little but probably not enough unless I get a fantastic new job or something.

Anyone buying the Deluxe Edition? Would that include a big update like Gods and Kings or is it simply new civs and crap?

Early access to the Aztecs (which will be free to all after 90 days) and a bundle of 4 paid DLC (new civs and crap). Honestly not sure based on previews that there will need to be a big update to this one.

I just purchased the standard edition....figured if base game turns out good, can always buy the other dlc later during a cheap sale

I don't think my SP2 will play this game.

If I buy from somewhere other than Steam do I get the same ability to download, update easily, etc.?

(And yeah, I'm with EF27 and pretty much always take this position when it comes to a game that I'll clearly enjoy: the price is trivial compared to the expected entertainment value.)

Yes, as long as you get a steam key, which you do at gmg, it acts and behaves the same as purchasing on steam.

Same here. If you just look at it from a pure hours of entertainment per dollar spent, my investments in the last two Civ games are astounding, even if you include all of the money spent on DLC. I'm not sure if anything comes close.

Bought it off Steam. I've learned the discounts sometime come with waiting for your download. I'm happy to give them full price for a Sid game. Outside of his last game, I've not been disappointed over the years.

Any idea?

Looks like the deal expired this morning. I checked it last night when I posted and it was there.

dola,

It looks like GMG has it for $48 again. The discount doesn't show until you add the game to your cart.

I watched the trailer about an hour ago. I guess I have three more hours for my condition to change before I have to call my doctor.

My wife has a new MacBook Air. Do I have any chance to play Civ 6 on it? Ifso, Should I wait from the Mac version to be released or should I look into one of the Windows Emulators.

Have it pre-ordered. But this weekend is Formula 1 in Austin, so I'll have to wait until Sunday night to give it a whirl.

Why?

I didn't watch it at all, but I'm curious about your concerns.

I watched about an hour of the Battle Royal right from the start. Kinda left with the feeling that this version of Civ is going to play very differently from the others.

The AI Battle was very hard to follow with it only spending about 3 seconds looking at one Civ until it panned to the next. Today is Multiplayer and you can see what a real player is actually doing.

I'm actually trying to think about if there are ANY computer/video game themes that top Baba Yetu, now.

And I'm putting the Crystal Theme from Final Fantasy ahead of it.
