Another I remembered, had this when I was 11-12 and had fun with it. I am realizing that pretty much half my toys/games were sports related.

A lot of memorable toys on this list so far. In addition to many of those shown, I would say that my Star Wars AT-AT (first toy I saved up for and bought), Castle Greyskull, and this:

were my absolute faves. I spent A TON of time having GI Joe wars with this base. OH, and some green army men and a pinkie ball.

Amen to 'Top Secret.' Not all the kids in my neighborhood were into D&D, or Sci-Fi, but we were all HUGELY into modern weaponry, and this one was the one RPG we could all happily agree on. Sessions involving over a dozen know-it-all kids were commonplace. Looking back on it - it was terrific!

I use to a old kodak camera bag that I use to put my hot wheels in and draw them out to set up a tournament bracket to figure out who the ultimate drag racer was that day. My grandfather made me a wooden case to hold them so I would place them up in order of finish every time so it was different every day.

Plus if I got bored I took one of the track pieces and started slapping people with them. Man you could whip them hard across someones back when they weren't looking...

Ours was similar to this but not licensed with NHL logos etc. Players were flat metal pieces. We would take our model car paint and hand paint them to the teams we wanted complete with numbers on their backs.

I almost bought this machine ten years ago. Still wish I had... I forget which team you got to play with to make the fans boo (probably the Russians). Guy was only asking $300 and I was too lazy to go get it.

I did something similar. It's funny, I've read/heard about people doing the same thing with the electronic football games countless times over the years...but I really did completely forget that I did that with this game until I saw that picture I referred to.

Did you have the Supercharger? I fucking LOVED the Supercharger.

I used to have full-basement-spanning GI Joe wars...Rolling Thunder was the absolute fucking bomb for that.

OMG...YES YES YES!!!!

For me it was this, then APBA Baseball on an old PC (with season disks), then early versions of CM. That's how my text-simming evolution went. Course, after the early versions of CM, which I couldn't quite get into, I stepped back for a few years.

i used to play this for hours...had the basketball too...used to take it to school and had to have people stand over me and whoever i was playing with because the LEDs werent bright enough to see in sunlight

Never had super charger. I never even used the curves. I was into drag racing only but I would use pieces of furniture to create hills as long as I could make from the living room to down the hallway.

It's amazing how many of us had the same shit. I haven't thought about Crossbows and Catapults, Electronic Baseball, Starting Lineup Talking Baseball, Slot Hockey, or Fireball Island in years but I spent a ton of time with all that stuff - and I don't remember anyone else in my neighborhood having that specific stuff, it was more an action figure crowd.

This was the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. I remember my game boards being a lot bigger than that though. Either I had some deluxe version, or it just seemed bigger at the time.
