The thing about PBF comics is that often you look at them and go "OK, not bad". You let your guard down, then you notice a detail that makes you spit beer out your nose.

OK, I get it now. I guess I hadn't figured out that she spotted the Cliff's Notes on the table. It's hard to tell that since she doesn't have any eyes.

Yeah me either. I was thinking along the lines of "she could read him like a book." But that wasn't funny at all.

Put me down as another person who didn't get that strip until now.

I've been a massive fan of PBF for awhile now. Can't remember where I found out about it, might have been penny-arcade.

I love this guy's stuff, though the one on the "gamer glossary - LOL" (4/6/07 or 4/7/07) really does strike some....resonance with this board.

Never drank it but after that "ringing endorsesment" I think it's one I'll avoid.

Meanwhile, I still thought of you when I saw the comic owing to the Texas thing...and the beer thing...

"Garlfield Without Garfield" is the best comic out there right now.

(Garfield without the thought-bubbles is great too)

Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?
Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Let’s laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against lonliness and methamphetamine addiction in a quiet American suburb.

The four of them from Feb 24th are just awesome LOL funny.

Those Garfieldless Garfields are great. I haven't done the comparisons, do they only pick the ones where it works out or are they all just great?
