Personally, I just don't think it's the employers business. If they don't want the risks associated with giving people medical insurance, then don't do it. Otherwise you're just going to have to take the lumps with it. I think it's dangerous to be basing hiring on overall health and potential health of a person. Good luck getting a job if your a male over 40 or a female in your child bearing years. And make sure you find a way to get out of that wheelchair before getting to that interview. |

If it's a safety issue, I'm fine with it. You should take a drug test if you're driving a school bus around. You shouldn't if you're selling real estate.
