Also, compared to GTA4, Los Santos just feels alive. They added the stuff in RDR where random shit happens every now and then.

Man some of you guys got far already.

I only just met Michael and did the boat thing.

Of course I also did one tow-truck thing for my cousin's GF and also just drove around causing mayhem in a bunch of different cars to try to improve my driving and get used to the layout of the city. Went up on the cable car to the mountaintop, that was cool. Went up into the rich homes in the hills and stole me a sweet convertible (like the one you "repo" at the beginning) that I parked in my garage.

Yeah, I strolled right in to my local big box store and picked up one of the tons of copies they had without a preorder or anything. In and out in like...10 minutes.

Do I have to do every single training session in Flight School to prepare for this heist or can I bail after a couple?

Wish I could figure out how to make a new car my character's default. After Michael loses his first car, I picked up some lame 4 door sedan and parked it in the garage just to have a car.

Later, I finally found a sweet sports car, souped it up to the max, and also parked it in the garage (the sedan now sat in the driveway.) To make sure I kept that car, I drove the sedan into a wall and left it.

However, now both of these cars are in Michael's property, with the crappy sedan in the driveway and the souped up one in the garage. And, to make matters worse, when switching over from another character to Michael's, he's always out somewhere driving the shitty car.

Maybe I'll blow it up or something.

Running away from the cops up a mountain, a mountain lion attacked me and killed me in one quick motion. I did not expect that!

Use the big garages to store alternate cars. Not the one in your home.

Iirc, every char will always have their defauly vehicles outside of the ines you steal/buy.

According to the description he showed a business card when asked for ID, that shockingly not being a valid form of ID resulted in him being a whiney asshole.

Yeah - I jacked another of those sweet supercars last night in Vinewood and headed out with Michael to explore the whole map before doing anymore missions. Want to get rid of all the "foggy" areas, so I drove the outside of the island and now am headed inland up over the mountains to fill in the interior. That'll probably take me most of tonight. Haha.

Wish I'd have known that. Michael loses his default so I guess the first car you grab becomes his permanent default then? I've thrown grenades at this damn sedan and it keeps coming back

No, especially not when their behavior is causing an inconvenience to all of your other customers. He's should have considered himself lucky he wasn't sent to the end of the line to give him time to find his ID.

I've read elsewhere that there are problems with the PSN download that are the same as the 360 with installing both discs. Looks like the game was optimized to read data from both the hard drive and disc to make up for slow read times and lack of RAM on both systems, meaning if you're just using a hard drive things are going to load slower.

I've experienced FAR worse from brides or mothers of brides on multiple occasions. It doesn't matter how bad their behavior is. If it's bad, people know it. There's no need to do what she did to point it out. Just let him go and realize that everyone else knows how stupid he was to act as he did.

You have to have thick skin in those situations and take a deep breath if you know you're going to react in an adverse way. I think my 12 years of umpiring competitive fast-pitch softball trained me well how to let just about anything go.

The way I always handled customers when I worked at CCBill was to treat the assholes with respect and speak calmly until they showed they were unable to be rational. Then I would just hang up. The good customers, the ones who understood that things can sometimes go wrong, the ones who were patient and calm... Those people usually got more than an average customer would have gotten when it came to my effort and any possible refunds, etc.

The way my fiancee handles customers at her hotel is she simply tells the assholes to leave. You'd be amazed how often she has to do that, but I attribute it to the type of people that tend to come in since her hotel is one that gets a lot of overflow from the nearby casino. The "high rollers" are generally the ones that are the biggest assholes, too. They're getting a free room that normally goes for 90 bucks a night and they still whine and complain when they don't get free upgrades to whirlpool suites, etc.

So to sum up, IMO the customer is fairly often quite wrong. (not that fairly often is that often anyway.. Maybe 1% or so?)

My 360 has been collecting dust for over a year now. With GTAV out I thought I should fire it up, make sure it is connected to the TV still then go out and purchase. Instead, I turn on the Xbox and get the so called red ring of death. I'm going to try and open it up and fix it via the Youtube instructional videos. I can almost guarantee this won't work!

I genuinely think there are customers that are better to steer towards your competitors because they cost more than they bring in so they actually are a net loss to your business.

And that's before we get into the ones who are good customers but are unequally burdened by something you have to do across the board: think the "good kid" who has to abide by the curfew that you created because of the "bad kid".

I guarantee that despite that dickwad storming out and will "never will buy here again," most every other person in that line just became a customer for life for the way she handled it.

Personally I'd have gone to the register, given him his deposit back, and told him to leave the store.

Yeah, the inability for microwaves to be kept in rooms is a hindrance that wasn't a hindrance before idiots en masse started breaking them or just outright stealing them.

As for the game, I am enjoying watching playthroughs of it quite a bit. It's a busy game, but I don't feel like anything is forced or constrained by time, which is awesome. I'm hoping to find a video of someone simply driving around the map showing off landmarks and whatnot just to get a feel for the vastness of it all.

I always liked how Herb Kelleher, founder of Southwest Airlines, would make it a point to respond to letters where the customer was in the wrong or went over the line. He would send them a letter stating that the customer isn't always right, and for a boss to assume so is a disservice to his employees. They are welcome to take their business elsewhere, and if so they would certainly miss their business.

I love this. The last time I actually complained was when I was jipped and then treated like shit in a Subway. Moral of the story, they had a buy one get one $3 sub special. What they made me was a six inch sub and cut it in half. When i questioned the policy about $12 foot long subs the manager decided to insult me. I shot off an email to corporate and they personally called me to let me know exactly how in the wrong I was.

12....12 dollar....12 dollar foot long....pretty sure that isn't how the the song goes.

End thread jack.

Subway rep: "I just wanted to get in touch with you to let you know that you were wrong."

Me: "Whatever."

-End of call

The gist of the roughly three minute convo was:

1. She wasn't going to answer any questions I had. She had already done all the fact finding she needed to do. She didn't want me to ask any questions. I was wrong. That was all she wanted to let me know.

2. I escalated the situation with the manager by wrongly accusing her of selling $12 foot long turkey sandwiches.

3. I purchased a $3, 3 inch turkey sandwich and I was given a 3 inch turkey sandwich for free. That was the deal that was offered and it was the deal that I was given.

EDIT: And before this gets any further off track. It was not the deal that was offered. To my knowledge they don't even sell 3 inch subs, and they definitely don't sell $12 foot longs.

They definitely sell 3 inch subs. That is typically their kid size. Of course, I don't believe it costs $3 for one of these either.

That said, you are expecting them to do math to compute that the deal equated to a $12 foot long.

The margins that Subway makes on the $5 foot-longs are razor-thin, so make sure you don't get chips or a drink and stick it to them, dubb.

Better yet, have them make one and return it.

Played through a few Trevor missions last night. This has been my favorite part of the game thus far. Trevor, IMO, far outshines the other 2 main characters.
