Hmm. I have all sorts of weird mail for other managers. Looks like that bug's back.

Yeah, I had the message error before the season again, although it seems okay now.

I did run into a couple weird errors in the minors. I don't know about anyone else's AA team, but my AA team apparently didn't play any games.

Also, I had 35 players going into the season at AA. Now I have 33. I cannot even find one player, C Jose Garcia. Only way I have found reference to him is in the transaction log, in March, which shows where I dropped him to Triple A, and then to Double AA.

Clicking his player card, it seems like he's still around, but he's not showing anywhere on my roster. Those generated player cards have always been hard for me to read what team they're on, so I am not even sure if he's in the ATL organization anymore. He's not showing in free agency, and he doesn't come up in the "Show All Players" section of free agency either, as if he doesn't exist?

I think the other missing player is RF Wes Randall, another vet. Neither of these guys are important, but of course, I would like to know what's going on there if we can figure it out. And why wouldn't these guys show up anywhere?

Dang, we faded there at the end. I'm very interested in seeing what this team did. I'm pretty sure that going with a 4 man rotation did me in at the end, but I was curious. I can't seem to download the files in game. It gave me the updated pre-season file, but not the end of season file.

Okay, downloaded the file external of the game, and after unzipping I've got all the player stats and stuff, but the game date still shows 3/28/01, the last day we had before the season started. None of the team stats and standings show on the team homepage either. Something odd is going on.

I also see what Tasan sees: the zip file has 1/1 dates on all the .dat files.

Also, if that zip is always the most current, we need to update the League File/HTML thread to point to it, as its got a different path.

The newest file should contain everything, the earlier files were wonked up for whatever reason. So download the newest file and see if that works for you or not.

Nope, still no Double AA season, and no Garcia or Randall.

I think I know what happened. I think I forgot to reset the schedules for the minor leagues, so when I deleted the affiliates of those teams that were folded, the schedules probably weren't reset. I'll need to make sure to do that next season.

Wes Randall retired on April 27, 2001. His player card does not show him having been drafted by Atlanta in the redraft:

Looking at the Double-AA standings, basically none of the teams down there played any games this year. Just six teams played games (a total of 4) for whatever reason. So it's officially wonky scheduling stuff and I'll fix that for next year.

Finally got a chance to sit down and look at the file. Only observations I have are that the player abilities are straight through the roof again, so probably will continue to be more of those phantom sudden rating drops in the future.

Also the draft order is messed up. Is that getting fixed before the draft? when is the draft now? Do I need to submit a draft list this weekend or Monday?

I think the draft order "mess up" is because we haven't drafted this year yet, so its still based off of last year's record. It'll be odd now with the draft at the end of the season, but I'm pretty sure this is what is going on.

The draft order can be fixed and I'll fix it. The draft is on Monday night, simmed on October 30th.

Also, I didn't change the talent distributions. I left them how they were during the sim period when we weren't managing our teams and so, I had nothing to do with the talent spike and I'm not sure what causes it, to be honest. But that said, it's truly a return to our past in that way...because it's sorta how we begun and even with those numbers, the players aren't putting up ridic. numbers, despite their potential to do so.
