Baltimore Second Baseman Best CL Rookie
Thursday, September 1st, 2089: Claudio Martínez is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Continental League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers.

In August the Baltimore hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .353 average with 30 hits, no home runs and 4 RBIs.

So far on the season Martínez is hitting .317 with 1 home run, 39 RBIs and 75 runs scored. He has 146 hits and played in 120 games.

It was loads of fun....My son scored the only goal so that was cool although I am not a believer in letting your kids win because I firmly believe they need to learn how to lose and how to earn a win...That's why I believe my son is such a good sport when they lose and vice versa when they win....

I've clearly lost any touch I ever had. This is getting frustrating. Congrats playoff teams.

That sounds like fun. I coach 8 year olds and 5 year olds in soccer. How old is your son?

My oldest is 6 and it was his first year of playing soccer and he had a blast....Hate to brag but they asked him to play "Academy" which is like travel for younger kids but he doesn't want to committ and take away from his other sports like baseball, football and basketball.....My daughter plays but she's more there for the social aspect of things
