Come oooooooooon, Hooligans!

Alan, it will be interesting to me if I end up making the playoffs, even though the AI "vacation-rejected" my lineups, to see what they did different from what I was going to do.

Woot! Since I actually submitted an export this time (even if the AI screwed it up), I'll gladly take ownership of this one. Short-lived though this playoff visit may be, thanks to the powerhouse that is Ann Arbor.

Thanks for a great pennant race, Johnny and Tasan. That was a lot of fun (more for me than you guys, I know...).

Man, and looking at the Pyth records, Johnny's squad totally deserved it more than my Hooligans did.

I didn't send him to AAA. I sent down a different backup for you. But didn't know where you wanted him starting, so he was just bench probably

Nonsense. You guys won when you needed to, we lost when we needed to. We blew the lead. Simple as that. You guys deserve that spot. Good luck in the playoffs, oh, and enjoy it, I plan on being back next season!

Good luck to Tokyo, Apex and Ann Arbor as well

I tried that once before with the same result. My 'logic' was because I had one great starter, and a very good bullpen, that I'd have my starter throw 3-4 innings ever game and then let my stellar bullpen take over. But it was WAY too taxing on the pen and they couldn't handle the IP's.

I should let the AI run my team more often. I hope to be up and running tonight. I'm not sure if it'll work though. I am no longer running XP as for some reason my father in law can't get it running on my netbook. I now have Unbutu and hope to use my windows copy of 12 running using WINE a windows emmulator. I'll give it a try b/c my next choice is buying a linux copy of the game or a windows laptop.
By the way I am far from a computer "geek" and if anyone has any pointers on this new OS feel free to let me know.

I believe I got the Linux version working. I'll just need to buy a Linux license now unfortunately. This will probably happen at some time this week.

Just curious (again, as an observer...I like reading the FOOL threads too! )

Looks like Prieto somehow "broke" the game. I've never seen a VORP like that ANYWHERE. Sure, he wasn't good the last two years, but for him to jump to 129 BB??

Did Chico not have enough pitchers? He was run out there for a couple of stretches 9, 10 days in a row.

Okay, looks like they had enough pitchers...but they had one guy start 86 games? They had three guys WORSE than Prieto.

Chico Rebels History - 2130 Summary - StatsLab for OOTP12

Crazy.
