Brady Quinn is awful. He might be just good enough to get you to 6-10, but that's about it.

But the idea now is that Quinn has earned one more chance to prove he can be better. Plus the Browns need so many different things that a top QB isn't going to make the team drastically better.

I think Clausen will go in the top 5. Would not be surprised to see Bradford creep that high either. Heck, I would not be stunned to see Locker in. After all, officially declaring your intentions to go back to college is like proving a negative - you can't do it. Nothing is official until the NFL deadline passes without his paperwork being in declaring.

The the Browns should take him. Grabbing the QB from Notre Dame works well for them.

Let me preface this by saying I despise Brady Quinn, but I honestly don't think you can call him awful just yet. Give him a year with a head coach who actually supports him and commits to him as the starter and see what happens. He's been up and down this year but he's still only played 13 games in his NFL career - are you ready to write a rookie off after 13 games?

FOFC favorite Browns don't even end up in the top 5, going 4-0 after poll was posted.

Suh should be getting ready to put on the "1" Rams jersey.

I think he is going to be downright bad as a full time starter for whoever he goes to. He just doesn't have the speed any more and that was the #1 thing that made him special as a QB. |

I think the Rams should take a QB #1. Or a receiver. Not Suh.

Kiper's latest mock...spoilered for space
Spoiler
Personally, this is about as good as it can get, with a great combination of picks for the Niners in Spiller and Williams, and two Rutgers guys going in the first round, with Anthony Davis in the top 5. |

I'd love if the Saints could get Witherspoon- although we do have some young guys who were on IR last year... Really I hope we pick the best available player. If anything I say go for another CB- I think Jenkins really has a future at S more than CB, and it showed good our top 2 are when they and our # 3 went down. It'd be nice to add more depth to that position.
Or another DT to play opposite Ellis. |

I'd much rather the Broncos go with Rolando McClain than Dez Bryant. I have no idea what McDaniels will do though - I guess a lot will depend on how free agency works out.

No way the 49ers go RB in the first.
And no Kindle lasts until 15th.

No way indeed. 49ers need to get any combination of two (OL, Pass Rushing DE, Playmaking S) with their first round selections.

I've read so much that they would be interested for the reasons Kiper mentioned (Gore complement, return ability) that it either makes me think it's legit...or they're trying to entice someone to move up for Spiller.

I think the Giants need to look hard at Kyle Wilson, the secondary was horrific last year and it is much easier to get a LB in free agency than a CB.

I'd be stoked to get McClain on the Dolphins. Or, if he and Bryant are both gone, trade down for more picks and grab Golden Tate.

Defense? He has 6 picks in 4 seasons, he had about 9 PDs last season in 12 games, 3 of which came against FIU. They seem to love him because he can return and block kicks, but in the NFL there are what, like 3 blocked punts a season?

No, they seem to love him because he is an outstanding cover corner who can actually tackle people and isn't a liability in run support. But keep on thinking that INTs are what defines a great corner. McCourty actually officially defended 10 passes last year, and that number is tied with the consensus #1 CB in Joe Haden.
edit: And just for shits and giggles, Darrelle Revis had 2 INTs and 4 passes defended in 12 games during his last year at Pitt. But go ahead, you can tell me why you don't think McCourty is a 1st rou...oh wait, no please tell me why he "sucks" which I assume to mean he isn't worthy of being selected before the 4th round or so (I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one). LOL, I'm just going by watching the RU defense I guess. Not sure what makes him a first rounder and I think the McCourty twins were probably the most overrated DBs. I am anti-twin.

Listening to Adam Schefter today on the radio.. he actually made sense stating once Sam Bradford starts working out for NFL teams, the Rams will start to salvate over the now healthy Bradford who could wow the QB hungry Rams. It's definitely interesting... |

Did Al Davis find his 1st and 2nd round picks yesterday?
Bruce Davis and Dorin Dickerson put up some really good combine numbers at T and TE yesterday.

This is stunning to me. They would be passing up a guy with the highest grade in 20 years for the next Alex Smith. Maybe they are putting this out to try to get teams (the Redskins?) to trade up?

Where is Colt McCoy expected to go? Considering that he won eleventy-billion games over 4 years in a BCS conference, I would expect him to be seen as a top guy. What "measurables" is he lacking that are keeping him from being seen as one of the top picks?

The Rams have recently passed on Sanchez, Ryan and Cutler in favor of a safe pick and look where it's gotten them. Suh may be the better pick, but at some point they need a franchise QB and if they believe Claussen or Bradford is that guy they need to take him.

If they think Bradford is a franchise QB, and I think they do(as do I), you have to take him. An NFL team doesn't get many chances to grab a stud QB, and while a stud DT may be the 2nd most valuable position in football, the QB is still king.
