Just had 2 of them... I would say it's 10% better than a regular Taco Bell taco. You definitely notice the difference when you first bite into it.

We bought like 25 for the office. Have had 2 so far and will down another this afternoon. Pretty good although I don't think it could ever possibly live up to my expectations.

Edit: I also have a KFC chicken pot pie in the fridge. Had a couple bites and it was bad. KFC/Taco Bell combo stores are the death of me.

Make sure to chip in the extra 40 cents for supreme. I'm sure regular is good, but there's something about sour cream and doritos.

I got 3 supremes. They were good, but not something I would normally seek out. I think the Cooler Ranch version is coming out and that's much more closer to being the death of me.

Supreme is pretty much awesome. Just had 5. I don't see any reason at this point to ever buy regular again.

Mine was a very weak shell (broke just looking at it) and there was no Doritos flavor to it, so for me it was very disappointing.

Just got back from TB myself.

Son's verdict? "Good, not quite awesome, but good". He followed up the first one with two more.

My verdict? "Not bad ... but that's not a Dorito". Had one, thought it was fine but wasn't what I expected at all. That's both good & bad I guess, it's really a taco shell dusted with a more cheese/less nacho version of Dorito powder. The taste isn't anywhere near as strong, which is okay since I was expecting it to be overpowered. That said though, it seemed more like a novelty than something I'd be excited to eat. After the sample I ordered two normal crunchy tacos and was fine with that.

I ended up missing my train, and the next one left 45 minutes later. Luckily, there was a Taco Bell in the station!

It's like a party in my mouth, and everyone's invited. I had a regular and a supreme. The regular was great, the supreme was not (the sour cream was icky), so I had to get another regular to wash it down. I can't believe no one thought of this sooner. And a cool ranch is coming? Can't wait!

Barely had any chicken in it. I thought I had ordered a vegetarian one till I finally found some buried inside. Maybe I got a bad one but lack of chicken and everything else being average left something to be desired. Not really a fan of their crust either, it was really dry.

It's a glorious KenTaco Hut! There's one of those in Overland Park, KS. It's perfect for those times you're craving 3000 or something calories in the form of something pizza, popcorn chicken, and a chalupa.

It seems to me that Taco Bell's quality has really dropped off over the last ten years or so.

This is what I want:

This is what I get:

That said, I am a sucker and will probably go get one of these tacos this weekend.

I had a couple of the regular ones on Saturday. The Doritos taco shells were good, I've just never been a fan of the taco meat in Taco Bell tacos so they were meh for overall I guess.

I tried one of the regular ones.

Meh.

As stated, the shell is brittle. The flavor I found rather weak. (A regular tortilla is better.) That, and I found out why they put nearly an entire box of napkins in the bag... even trying to hold it using the cardboard I seemed to get that sticky powder all over my hands. The napkins didn't really help much though... they need wet naps.

I'll order the Fresco Taco instead. It's actually not bad at all...

I tried them tonight finally. Not bad but not great either. The dorito does nothing for the taco.

Just eating one plain I could barely taste the cheese. I broke off a little piece just to test it. It was okay but it doesn't exactly taste like a dorito. The rigidness is totally different and it affects the taste.

I put some hot sauce and a little ketchup on it and the whole thing melded together a little better with pockets of the yummy cheese powder but overall not enough.

And was anyone else annoyed that there was no combo for these things other than the "Dorito box"? And that box on ly has one dorito taco, one reg taco and one reg burrito. What's the point...

The combos at Taco Bell have traditionally been the cost of the individual items added together with virtually no discount.

Anyone who actually thinks Taco bell is Mexican food is apparently too stoned to actually have taste buds or a brain. Lay off the Pipe. TB is barely even Tex-Mex. You could call it Southwestern i suppose, but its not fucking Mexican that's for certain.

I find it funny that a place that touts itself as highly as TB does has to stoop to really idiotic PR campaigns like this one to regain customers.

Oh and someone mentioned ealrier on a correlation between computer/gamer geeks and loving Taco bell. Its a simple one really. most computer gamer geeks are too lazy to actually work and are therefore dirt poor, so 89 cent tacos/burritos etc etc become the staple food source.
