1. Expanding the playoffs. The top three teams in each division would go into the top bracket with the best record getting a bye.
The same goes for the bottom bracket. This would eliminate the middle bracket. Passed 10-2 2. Limit the amount of years a player can be kept as a keeper. The amount of years a player can be kept would be limited to three. This number would be reset if the player is moved in a trade. Also, keeping the player as the "rookie keeper" would count as a year towards the count. If this proposal passes, 2009 would be the first year to count towards the three year limit. Passed 8-4 3. Defensive Scoring changes. Interceptions and Fumble Recoveries under this proposal would be revised to two points each. Also, the points allowed totals would be modified under this proposal. Shutout = 10 Defense gives up between 2-6 = 7 Defense gives up between 7-9 = 4 Defense gives up between 10-16 = 3 Passed 11-1 |

Waiting on e-mail addresses from Eaglesfan27, Saldana and PackerFanatic and then I'll get the info out for the draft. We will be using myfantasyleague.com. I'll post more after I mess around with it a bit more.

Did you receive my PM yesterday? I never received an email. We're not using Fleaflicker anymore or is MyFantasyLeague.com only for the draft portion?

Just a heads up, I'll be traveling for the rest of the week and won't have much time until I get back...late on the 10th. My guess is that it won't get to my picks at the end of the first round/top of the second round (yeah, that was a dig from the champs!) until sometime on the 12th but I'll do my best to get a list ready if need be.

I'm in a similar situation in that I will be out of town from tomorrow afternoon until Sunday evening and won't be checking email/internet as much

I had to wait until I had all the addresses. You should have the password for the draft. We're still using Fleaflicker to run the league. MyFantasyLeague will be used for the draft and then deleted. Fleaflicker doesn't allow for an extended draft. |

In the event of a missed pick, the system will automatically pick a player for the owner based on the highest-ranked available player, on the owner's "My Draft List" player ranking, and then once that list is exhausted, according to rankings displayed on the ADP page. |

Yes I received it. I like MyFantasyLeague from what I've seen so far. I like Fleaflicker except that it's really, really hard to find breaking or any player news for that matter.

Ok how do you look up the default player rankings on MyFantasyLeague? I keep getting a blank page even when I click over to 2008 rankings.

If you go to the top of the page and click on the drop down for Owners and then select my draft list you will get a list of players. Once you have that pulled up click on ADP and it will rank the players by their average draft position.

Keepers... yes. I don't think we've ever traded picks, but I don't see a problem with it. I'd like to see any trades have equal number of players per side, so everyone comes out of the draft with 14 players. |

ive only been in the one season, so i am likely wrong, but it doesnt really make a lot of sense to me that we are snaking the draft order. yeah, i get #1, but then i take a nap and sit around for 22 picks til i go again at 24...i dont get how this is supposed to help me improve my team...snake drafts are great for leagues that start from scratch, but in a keeper league where the table is tilted toward one end, i always thought the draft was supposed to level it out. |

Yeah i also agree with snaking a keeper league might not make sense. This is definitely something that should be voted on next year.

With the three year keeper rule, drafting at the bottom of the round would be a huge disadvantage. I'm a certified loser in this league and I prefer a snake draft.

I personally have liked the snake drafts (even as someone who has been first or last on 3 occasions), but with the rookie keeper rule addition and the 3 yr rule addition (potentially pushing more talent than normal into the early draft every season), there might be some merit in changing it so the best finishing teams don't get a couple of premium players at the end of the first.
Or if that's too extreme, maybe make the first two rounds in order of finish and then snaking thereafter. That might mean round 1 would have to be done in a thread but I don't think that's a big deal. |

I think it will be interesting to see how it works out this year and if the bottom tier teams don't show improvment then look at it.
It is odd though, the worst team picks 1st them not until 24th. |

I'm actually more interested to see what the draft pool looks like the following season when the first round of rookie keepers from a season ago enter the draft (or else other players that were kept in their respective positions this season). I would think that should be a pretty strong draft. |

So we're just drafting in this thread like we did last year and updated the temporary league so we can see who was picked, right?

I've set my pre-draft lists for the first four rounds so should it get to me tomorrow it *should* pick for me right away. We'll see how it goes.

I'll be in Jersey for the next couple weeks, so I'll be sure to set draft lists as much as possible (as I'll probably get decent access to a computer, but not as much as usual).
