Well, I won't be eating frog legs tonight, that much is certain.

I guess those mid-majors are catching up, speaking of salt and ketchup.

Ohio State, eh. I'm not sure on them right now. Iowa look good, but they are playing a MAC school that is a mess. Michigan State look solid.

Also, a Division 1AA game on ESPN2? Not that don't mind 1AA, but some much better and bigger-name matchups could be shown.

Quoted for truth. This is a new low for OU, and that's saying a lot following the prison-love scene that was last year's Orange Bowl.

Hmmm.. BC v. BYU or Colorado v. CSU (I ain't watchin 1-AA crap). Tough choice... though the Colorado game isn't on HD... let's see if BC v. BYU is (dammit, you can at least put every game on HD for opening weekend!!)

Colorado-Colorado State, what channel? I got Michigan-Northern Illinois, not an exciting game to me. I just have a hard time watching small school vs. big school teams unless it is close in the fourth quarter. I wish ESPN2 would show Penn State-South Florida, or something, over 1AA ball between two less-then-powerhouse teams.

Don't knock TBS. They were REAL good last year for college football, though usually they showed Pac-10 stuff in the evening. I like them just as much as the big networks.

What's wrong with the Pac-10? I always enjoy watching them. No other station, expect ABC in the regional matchups, carries them. I also believe TBS has a deal with the Big 12, and chooses between the Big 12 and Pac-10.

If I had my druthers, I'd let GT lose to Auburn if it meant Boise could shut up the annual howling from Athens.

Sadly, I'm more likely to get the former than the latter.

Looks my 9-3 prediction for this season is a little bit too generous.

It's not a good year to be a Sooner fan.

My wife and I stayed at Kinnick until midway through the third of the Iowa-Ball St game. The Hawkeyes looked pretty good. The starters were all out of the game midway through the second after Iowa took a 35-0 lead. 49-0 at the half and Ball St had something like 15 yards total offense. Apparently, Ball St had 13 players suspended for this one so I don't know how much stock to place in this win. We'll only see if this team can play come next week when they head out to Ames to play the 'Clones at Iowa St.

Man did Brian Calhoun look sweet in Madison. As did Omar Jacobs... that guy is going to be a VERY good NFL QB.

I do believe he might be the best running back of the Alvarez era. At least he looked it today (although he seemed kind of worn down by the 4th quarter). He's got a lot more shake-n-bake than I'm used to from Badger backs.

It's totally unshocking that Calhoun was beat in the 4th. He had I think 47 carries! Stocco only threw TEN passes! What a ridiculous game.

What did they change? I though the pics I saw had the Bronco-like stripes. Also, I thought Georgia was chaning slightly as well?

I notice Oregon got ride of the ugly uniforms, and went to a simpler look (even though the colors are helmets are ugly to me). Is this a change back-to-basics in the sporting world, or at least football?
