Toronto's Florey Hammers #400

In his career Florey has gotten 1739 hits with a .279 batting average, scored 1079 runs, hit 400 home runs and driven in 1344.

This is how I thought the season would shake out but if we end up in the playoffs against the Winter Wolves, we'll be doomed.

Homer #400 for Colorado's León
Friday, October 9th, 2065: Colorado's outstanding shortstop Xavier León joined the 400 home run club today at Ballpark of Colorado with a booming blast in the Rancheros win over the Marlboros. They topped Toronto 6-5.

Tieh 6-7 for Baltimore
Sunday, October 11th, 2065: It was a good day all around. Baltimore whipped Tokyo 29-5 and Zhong Tieh displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 6-hit day at Sony Park.

"Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Zhong is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."

The 24-year-old shortstop for the Charm collected 6 hits in 7 at-bats to get his name in the record book.

Z. Tieh struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off J. López in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Tieh is swinging at a .328 pace on the year with 6 home runs, 55 RBIs and 83 runs scored. He has played in 133 games.

St. Petersburg's R.J. Pilgrim broke Ed Harris's record from last season for walks in a season! Pilgrim had 171 walks this year, which is 7 more than Harris' total from last year.

On paper, these look like big mismatches in the opening rounds.

Hopefully that means in OOTP land that it'll be Napa v Colorado ;- )

Good luck playoff peeps!

Yes, I'm up at a stupid hour of the morning because I got paged out by people who don't value my sleep... but off the top of my head, I think the record is the 2019 Tokyo Cyclones that won 125 games (but did not win the title).

Off the top of my head, I think Hammersmith, Chico, Colorado, Boston and Valdosta all had 110+ win seasons at some point or another.

So Halifax likely joined a list of perhaps under 10 seasons in FOOL history that had 110 wins

We go from last, to middle of the pack, to last, to playoff contention. Eliminated by a crazy 8 game run to end the season by Colorado.

Good season development wise though as 21 year old Hector Guardado fully develops and wins a batting title.

good luck to the playoff teams and thanks again Alan for running the season

There was a time (pre-2040s) where beating Hammersmith in the postseason was as simple as showing up.

Truth be told, this team overachieved a bit, whcih you can see with the Pyth records. The pitching is not deep and pitched better than it's talent. The hitting is legit, but, hey, it's the RL.

Point is, we're eminently beatable.

And in any case, I'm not the one with the 110 win team.

I already know I can't beat CrimsonFox so I might as well tear down Chief while I'm at it.
