I don't know how to play, but since all these newbies are joining, what the hell... can I still join?

I'm guessing you can. And if St.Cronin has only limited spots (which I doubt), I'll happily give up a spot for a first time player. I doubt that will be needed though! Now we just need St.cronin to return and get this thing rolling |

DC, i am sure you are ok as far as being in...with you we are up to 18...thats a very good number to play with....now the only problem we have with DC and Farrah playing is.....what the hell is the feminine of Werewolf?

Do we have to run the next werewolf game if we win? I don't really have time to run the game...

Looks like this would be a fun game with all the newcomers. I'll be reading along with interest.
Farrah, running a game is a voluntary deal and doesn't have anything to do with winning or losing the previous game. Although for some people who obsess over this stuff it actually takes more time to play the game than to run one ... |

Most people, although perhaps not Schmidty, have to actually post during the day to lead someone astray

i only said i was in cuz it was a "new players welcome" game and it looks like there's a bunch of first-timers so i won't feel bad if i hafta ask a million questions or whatever. the regular games had become way too intimidating for a WW-newb. |

This sounds like a fun game, I'd like to try it.
When can I start voting for path12?

I'm gonna ask a really stupid question since I have no clue how to play this thing: Is this game kind of like finding "The Mole"? So far, I've heard people get voted off but don't know how or why. It kinda sounds like everyone fends for themselves...

Generally, there is a group of 15-20 players. Of those, generally 3 belong to a faction known as Warewolves. It is the objective of those 3 to get to a 1-1 ratio with the other 12-17 players. Sounds hard, but the evil side wins more often then not. They have certain advantages, such as knowing eachothers identities and being able to talk freely by PM(or aim, if preferable). The 12-17, or the villagers, do not know each other, and cannot speak to each other outside of the thread. Every day there is a lynch based off of majority votes wins, and every night the bad guys get to kill a villager(so if we dont kill a bad guy during lynch, basically we lose 2 good guys a day). Cycle goes day-night-day-night. So basically, it is the objective of the wolves to lie and cheat their way to victory by earning then betraying the villagers trust at the most opportune times. The good have roles to help them as well though, such as a seer who every night can learn a players role, a bodyguard who can protect 1 person every night from night kill, and a duke who once a game can change the lynch victim to whomever he choses. Basically, trust no one and always keep your victory condition in mind. And when i say trust no one, i mean except me obviously. Hope you followed along somewhat. The complex games can vary from this, but its a pretty solid basis for this particular game.

Has this been canceled or just delayed? I'd like to know if I'm on the list. I hope everything's ok for him in the real world.

Just been delayed a bit. St.cronin hasnt been around. Usually if this happens, we give them a little time and if they do not show up we'll likely have someone else run a game and let St.cronin have a chance when he's back.
Hopefully he'll show up this week, this looks like it will be fun with all the new people. |

has anyone heard from cronin???
if he doesnt appear by the end of the week, if people would like, since there are so many people signed up expecting a simple basic game, i would be able to drop out of the game and run it as such, starting sunday night for night 0, and we can maybe just drop cronin to the next game in the order... i dont want to piss anyone off, just trying to help since we dont know what the deal is right now, so please everyone, let me know if we all think this is a good idea or not. |
