You could, theoretically (and the bot teams do) play ironman basketball. Your players will suck ass by the end of the game.

I'm thinking on a means to handle autosub on fouls, but right now, no.

Basically right now, the sub matrix says, in stone, who WILL be coming in as soon as possible at that time.

Any basic guidelines on how much of an affect fatigue has? Seems i'm completely flying blind here...

One more thing...

Does Playing Time affect development?

I sorta wish the ratings were by numbers instead of descriptive words...

3/20 's the first game (the schedule's listed there). Wanted to give ample time for people to sign up, and for bug squashing.

There will be new docs about that before games start. But....the short version on fatigue.

Basically, what stats do in this game is provide a bonus (both offensive and defensive) to the odds a player does...something. Anything. The higher the stat(s), the better the odds, and the better the bonus.

Every possession, your players make an Endurance check. If they fail it, their stats go down by a small amount. So basically, the more tired you get, the lower chance a player has of successfully accomplishing anything on the court.

They go back up at a fairly rapid clip when a player is on the bench. 5-10 minutes rest is enough to get about anyone back, unless you just played the poor sod for like the majority of the game straight.

Edit: And I haven't decided on PT affecting development yet. Right now, it does not. Since I now have a much better means of tracking who's played recently, it's a distinct possibility that this will change.

Taking opinions. Got 10 days before the season starts, got everything that needs to be working working, and thusly, some time to improve on things.

Suggestions on shit to Improve/Add before we get underway?

conference leaders, and when posting leaders for things like FG%, 3-%, show their shots made and attempted as well, not just the percent. so we get a feel for how often they are shooting.

I've already thrown out my suggestions off the top of my head on the board over there.

What we could really use, as much as you hate it, is the updated documentation so we can recruit better.

Shots (field goals, 3 pointers, free throws) attempted and made are now listed on the player details page. I can't put them on the main stats page, for the single reason of it just makes the page too bloody wide. I try like hell to avoid any horizontal scrolling at 1024x768. I'll prolly put it into league leaders as well.

Conference leaders...I'll look into it again. I'm not entirely sure it's possible with the way I store statistics. We'll see.

I'm in, but under the sparkling original name of "Washington State Cougars." I'd like to change it if possible, to the Palouse Hefeweizens. Can that be done?

I'd like a way to be able to see the play-by-play more than whatever it was before (like 12 hours) before I have to see the score first...

Before if you did not get on right after the sim, you had to go to where you could see the score before you could see the play by play...

If I read this correctly, you mean you wanna be able to view the PBP stuff if you weren't around for the "live" game, without knowing the score yet?

Exactly... Just like how in FOF you can go to the gamelog .txt before knowing the score...

Hmm. I'll see what I can do about re-working the play by play page. The other pages that show game results will stay the same, I'll try and rig it so if you go straight to to the PBP link, it'll do something along those lines.

Also working on a means to allow folks to watch more than just your games live.

Nope, it's the new documentation.

Are we supposed to have 3 or 4 non-conference games? I tried to schedule my games this weekend and saw three options, NC Game 1, NC Game 2, and NC Game 4. No NC Game 3?

Assuming it's working, if you tried to schedule a game with a team that already had it scheduled, that week wouldn't show up in the pull down menu.

The team view page lists non conference games, so if they aren't showing any, you haven't scheduled anything, and you STILL don't see that option, lemme know. That would be a problem.

Things look ok now, but there still might be a problem. When I initially tried to schedule my non-conference games, I could only make 3 requests because I never had a Game 3 option. One of my requests was to JeeberD who still doesn't have any games scheduled, so I should have seen a Game 3 option. Now that I do actually have one game scheduled, I get options for Games 2,3,4...which is what I would expect.

One other possible bug. In the lineup section, I tried setting PG-Pete Shaw into the 15:00 slot for the PG position. When I hit submit, I see only "P" in that slot. If I select PG-Rheinhardt Smithson for that slot, it shows up fine. Not sure if this is a display bug, or if the lineup selection didn't work.

I tested this last night, and just a few minutes ago.

Double Dola, to happily announce, with March Madness around, that I've put in a page to see "If The Tourney Ended Now" seeds.

With 150 teams currently in the system for Season 1, (and it almost certainly looking like I won't need to expand before Sunday), it'll prolly be a 32 team tourney to determine The End of Season Champion. So unless I get about 70 signups before the first season games this coming Sunday, what you see is official.

The School Offering Athleticism and Prowess (SOAP) Fighters are in.

The following is a list of teams who wish to play you in a non-conference matchup. To accept, simply click on the 'accept' link next to the challenging school. If you wish to challenge a school, you may do so in that team's overview page (assuming they are not booked up).

I don't see an accept button.
