I bet the two people who said 30-40 thought the question was what age you got married at.

Wow....I hope you meant almost 11 years and almost 16. We still have 2 months to go for one and 5 for the other. For shame.

15 years and going strong. I always have trouble remembering how long anything has been, so I always remember the date and do the math. Anniversary, my birthday, kids' / wife's birthday, etc. Just have to remember the date.

There are three types of women: the ones who can't remember, the ones who obsess down to the day (15 years, 6 months and 27 days, pulling random numbers out of my ass to fit your 'almost 16' example), and the ones who embellish up to the nearest whole number because it sounds more impressive that way. Will be 6 years in July, but we started dating in our freshman high school year, so we have been together for 20 years already.

I agree it's confusing, but I don't think "3 years last month" would help. Isn't it April and Labor Day is in September?

Anyway, I suspect mauboy just meant to say that it's 3.5 years now, and his anniversary is on Labor Day weekend, but he got tongue-tied.

He should type with his fingers. His tongue apparently can't find the home keys.
