That Slanket is a great idea. My wife will love it. I just ordered one (waitlisting) on QVC.
My wife and I love our night lights. We got the kind that plug into the wall. The others are useless. Batteries wear down fast, and replacing the batteries costs almost as much as buying a new light. |

I merely joked with my wife about getting her a slanket, and she gave me the glare of death. So apparently not ALL women want one for Christmas...

True. My wife makes fun of the Slanket (or it's first cousin the Snuggie) almost daily.

A lump of coal; in today's economy, that can be worth 100 bucks.

My wife says that she either wants a mini-fridge for her office at work, or a new fan for our bedroom because she got the current one when she was in junior high. Seeing as how the current fan still works perfectly despite its age, she's getting a fridge.
Oh, and I'm also getting her this. She fucking LOVES that movie...

Anyone know if the Snuggie is comparable to the Slanket in quality? Googling "slanket vs. snuggie" has only led me to snarky blog and messageboard posts with little serious discussion regarding the merits of these two competing products.

Obviously you haven't seen the commercial where that poor woman struggles to turn her lamp on while covered up by blankets. Heartbreaking stuff really.

My wife couldn't believe we were actually talking about this thing on here, she laughs at the thought of anyone buying them, since they are just backwards robes... |

Got mine the Slanket and she LOVES it. I got her a few other things but this is the one she likes the best. Good suggestion.

Awhile back, Gizmodo ran an "Ultimate Battle" between the Snuggie, the Slanket, the Freedom Blanket, and the Blankoat. Gizmodo - Ultimate Battle: The Snuggie vs. Slanket vs. Freedom Blanket vs. Blankoat - Snuggie battle
Saw this on Consumerist today (which reminded me of this thread and that Gizmodo link) and had to chuckle: 27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,47,0"> /tk
