From the help-file:

"The Combine Accuracy setting determines how closely player combine results reveal a player's ratings. This can be set from 0 (least accurate) to 100 (most accurate). A setting of 50 is considered average, though this makes the combine quite accurate. This setting applies to both single- and multi-player games where you are the commissioner."

I'm at work and can't download and see for myself... is there a quick sim option for generating league history before I start actually managing a team?

Funny, I had a rare off night last night, so I was literally all over the internet and my PlaystationNetwork searching for any new game of interest to purchase on a wim out of sheer boredom. Didn't pull the trigger... glad I didn't, now.

About to purchase. Do old draft files for historical purposes translate to this version?

So for combine accuracy, can it be assumed 50 is most like FOF2007? And would it really be any fun to play at 100!?!

My first thoughts are that Jim could easily get some better graphics in here. The opening screen looks ten years old, could confuse some new players.

Seriously, this will be a thing of beauty for MP leagues. Here are the fields for staff personnel (to include staff_id and first and last name info...something we couldn't get from the last version.)

Beyond ease of use, there is definitely lots to see with the redesigned staff.

Code:
Staff_ID Last_Name First_Name Current_Team Role Primary_Group Salary Player_Development Young_Player_Development Motivation Discipline Play_Calling Strength_Training Conditioning Intelligence Scouting_Ability Interviewing Age Retired Years_on_Contract Suitable_Head_Coach Suitable_Offensive_Coordinator Suitable_Defensive_Coordinator Suitable_Assistant_Coach Suitable_Strength_Coordinator 42 Rosburg Jerry 2 Assistant Coach Linebackers 176 42 36 70 74 36 0 0 98 64 36 58 0 4 54 0 42 43 0 173 Frederick Warren 99 None Quarterbacks 0 29 96 21 18 55 0 0 96 52 42 50 0 0 34 57 0 63 0 91 Sherman Mike 14 Offensive Coordinator Offensive Linemen 192 67 84 57 29 21 0 0 95 40 22 59 0 4 51 51 0 62 0

Multi-Player FTP Support. Most mutli-player commissioner and team owner functions are now automated through FTP. As a team owner, just open up the game, select Import Game Files, and the game downloads all the most recent game files and reloads the game in the current stage. As a commissioner, imports and exports will run much more smoothly.

This is nice, but could we have it get ALL files that a user doesn't have (or aren't current)? If we could eliminate having to find past season files when joining a new league, that would be amazing.

jaygr,

That was a problem with FOF2k7 on 8.1 as well. I did get it to work though, but I can't remember. Only my wife uses 8.1 (she's my beta tester)...all my devices are still on 7, so I can't remember off-hand what you need to do in order to fix that.

I played with Oakland also and lost out on Graham even though I offered a lot more than the Saints. Interesting.

I'm agree. FOF contributed a ton to how much I learned about football, so i'm glad to see it continue to succeed and move forward with a new release from Jim.

Very difficult to read with the red font. I am ok with the grass, but perhaps the font can be changed to white or something?

I already bought it so it's not a deal breaker nor is it very important, but I was a almost shocked at those 8-bit looking menu icons at the top. I don't care that the interface is the same. Refresh those icons and change the calendar font and I'd be happy with the UI.
