Here's where things sit with everything but the Syracuse/Cal game:
Player Total Players Left butter_of_69 1902 4 spleen1015 1565 8 Vince Pt. II 1499 9 digamma 1486 9 britrock88 1479 7 Panterhsfan75 1450 5 Ragone 1373 7 Comey 1344 4 Chief Rum 1337 6 B&B 1296 6 wademoore 1264 7 kingfc22 1236 6 larrymcg421 1205 6 Henry296 1061 6 Young Drachma 993 5 murrayyyyy 674 9 muns 608 8 Seeing some different strategies play out. butter went in heavy with low seeds and has points early, but he's lost much of his squad. Then we have a handful of guys that mixed it up a bit more and have most of their guys left. We'll see how it sits after tomorrow. I have a feeling that if someone in the 1200+ range is able to hold onto two say 5+ seed guys, they'll be in very good shape.

I haven't given it a hard look, but I lost both Wolters (NDSU) and Williams (NM) before yesterday, so I only have 8 dudes left as of that last status update. Not sure if the point values are correct or not.

Dola - Despite the fact that having Jamaal Franklin for one more round would have been amazing for my team, I'm super excited that FGCU beat SDSU.

I think something is wrong with the Players left logic. I have 5 left and it says I have 6.

The more 3/4 seeds that win in the Sweet 16 (Florida, Syracuse), the better chance I have to hold off spleen, whose remaining players comes mainly from 1- and 2-seeds (Louisville, Duke, Ohio State). Thursday/Friday are big.

britrock in prime territory for the repeat so far, but plenty of chances for guys from behind to still improve their standing with three rounds to go.

Dammit, if I could've gotten Wyatt and/or Henderson through to the S16, I would've been in pretty good shape.
Alas.

Just noticed I have Plumlee listed 2x instead of Larkin from Miami. Not a big deal but wanted to inform.

Looks like I'll end up close but no cigar unless Oregon manages a win somehow today and Singler has a couple of great games.

So, the top 3 guys don't have overlap in their remaining 2 guys each meaning there's a chance any of them can based on what happens in the next two games.

I believe all 3 of us have Trey Burke. I have Russ Smith from Louisville, Vince has Southerland and brit has Fair, both from Syracuse. I need to Syracuse to lose to Michigan.

I think Brit's going to have a tough time winning...the only way he catches up on spleen is to have Syracuse keep winning, and that means Southerland is still getting me points. And while Fair has been consistently outscoring Southerland, I don't know if he'll be able to close that gap.
It's going to be close between spleen and I...Louisville looks to demolish Wichita, so if Syracuse loses to Michigan, I'm probably in trouble. |

Rather have Michigan win than pull off the repeat here, TBH.

Napkin math tells me it's Russ Smith at 28.5 for the win for spleen.

My in-head calculations have spleen needing Smith to score 40 to match me, after Fair was the only Orange to score points tonight.

If anyone had staked their horse on Sherwood Brown (1500 pts) or Bernard Thompson (1305 pts) from FGCU this year, they'd have hit paydirt.

Ohio State's Deshaun Thomas and Michigan's Trey Burke were the most picked guys this year appearing on 12 (70.6%) of the rosters in this year's game. Creighton's Doug McDermott was the next appearing on 9 (52.9%).
The highest scoring player among those picked was C.J Fair of Syracuse with 976 points. 12th seeded Oregon's E.J. Singler scored 972 points in three rounds and was 2nd. |

Or Southerland could continue to lay an egg and Fair can put brit into the lead. So close, and yet so far. Nice work, brit |

Congrats to our back to back champ. Not sure if expanding to 10 made the game more interesting or not (I think so?) but cool that even with that, the final score was only a 74 point spread between 1st and 2nd. Last edited by Young Drachma : 04-09-2013 at 01:34 AM. |

I almost took Cleanthony Early from Wichita State, but then ended up removing him in favor of the Notre Dame guy I put on my list.
Great move, dipshit.
