That offense is all that and bag of chips, isn't it? Funny how GT loses all the big "name" players of the offense side, and now are a much better team. Keep it up, and people are going to start paying attention. Now, let's root those Razorbacks on to do the impossible. |

Today looked like a good example of how it's supposed to work, except at the times it didn't (if that makes any sense). Having to settle for 3 FGA's & the 2nd half problems for the defense made that a lot more interesting than it had to be. Tevin has certainly been a revelation at QB though, the threat of a forward pass makes the offense a lot more effective.

Don't think we've done one single thing right since the touchdown other than capitalizing on Bama wetting the bed on the goal line. Will be lucky to stay within 10 at half now.

I thought McCarron got in, but I don't think it was a huge error on the call. McCarron should have done a better job in getting it over. I think Arkansas proved that unless 'Bama has a break down in D, they are going to have to score via a long methodical drive much like the first. 'Bama simply isn't giving them big plays.

RU looked shaky at times, but forced 4 turnovers and won 38-26. Sanu with another monster game...I think 16 receptions for 170+ yards. The rest of the team combined for about 7.

Wow, what an awful start to the second half for Clemson. That was bizarre.
Boyd was slipping and tried to throw the ball away, but it came loose and went practically straight up in the air. The ball was intercepted and returned for a touchdown. Clemson 21 - 16 FSU, PAT pending. Last edited by Big Fo : 09-24-2011 at 04:30 PM. |

If they won't take Villanova, maybe Temple should apply to the ACC.

If Jones somehow loses to Rampage 205 is going to be an even more wide open mess than it already is.

Raise your hand if you're a hot-shot defensive coordinator that thinks he's done enough to parlay his work into a head coaching job this offseason.

Ohio State's quarterbacks are awful. I don't think there's much Fickell could do to become the permanent coach, but he'll be lucky to go .500 in conference play with Miller/Bauserman.

LSU's defense is ridiculous, but Geno already has missed more open receivers in this game than I've probably ever seen him miss in any game.
This is the best defense I can remember seeing at Mountaineer Field though. |

LSU D isn't playing its best game either. Not doing a great job of getting off of blocks when there is good coverage, and Mo Claiborne is having probably the worst game of his LSU career. (I think he is mentally rattled out there, you can see it in the pushing match he got flagged on and his interactions with the coaches. If he gets his mind right tonight, he should be fine.)

Tyrann Mathieu is the most instinctive football player I have ever seen. Ever. I am talking on tape of NFL greats included.
We are talking a 5'8.1/2" 175 pound 4.6 40 CB who is the biggest defensive playmaker in college football as a true Sophmore. Only because the man plays like he has a brain genetically engineered to play football. |

Miss. State must be walking through the emotions because they are tied 20-20 to LTU while playing at home.

Good start, horrible rest of the first half.
Franklin is NOT a running back, I absolutely hate that fucking play where he gets the snap and runs it up the middle.. Brad Smith he is NOT. |

Agreed completely on Mathieu. Patrick Peterson was the most naturally talnted player at LSU I've ever seen but Mathieu is the better playmaker. And to think a bunch of Tiger fans were pissed when he was offered a scholly because his best other offer was from ULaLA

I think Josey is something special. Really hope they go back to using him more. He opens up the passing game and also gets 5-6 yards a carry. I agree they need to quit with the Franklin shit. |

Josey would be my starting RB not matter who comes back from injury.. they definitely need to use him more. Broyles is a beast though, should be a high draft pick. We need a score right off the bat in the 2nd half! |

Had to go watch some highlights on this Mathieu guy. Wow. If he isn't the first DB picked in his draft class, I don't know what scouts are looking for.

Well I think the NFL arguement against Mathieu is that he will probably grade out physically below ideal in every way, except acceleration/agility. That being said, even if you think his physical talent makes for a lower ceiling, the instinct level also makes him a very low bust risk. Hard to imagine him being passed up on at the end of the 1st when it is so easy for CBs to become draft busts.

10-10 tie at half. Should've scored at least 21 but stupid penalties galore and two herring tos have kept it close

The Big 12 seems pretty solid so far... winning all their meaningless games, winning every battle of mid conference vs mid conference, and beating TCU, Fla St, Iowa, UConn, Miami, BYU with only a loss to Arizona State and G-Tech (vs KU... worst team in conference). Why wouldn't Mizzou stick with the best college football conference? |

Very versatile for the networks, they can advertise their games as being a conference game for whatever conference they wish. Mizzou/Western Illinois was ESPN's ACC game of the week.

That USC - despite sanctions that exclude them from the postseason - is the best team in the PAC-12 South?
