Lions offense playing as if their coordinator's name is Jim Bob Cooter...

You can't give up 45 points to a Chiefs team led by Alex Smith and keep your job.

I fully expect Caldwell to be fired sometime in 2018 per the Ford family mantra. Too bad the ownership can't be fired too.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Lions offensive coordinator wasn't the only problem there.

Dalton looking Dalton-esque.

He's not getting any time, but time to check to some short throws or something.

Why aren't they running more? Hill has been really effective, but the RBs only have three carries.

Steve Smith's career might be over after an injury-had to be helped off the field and to the locker room-no weight on his leg.

Weeks like this are when football sucks. Seems like a ton of injuries to starting players today so far.

Eli Manning, 29 for 38, 345 yards, 6 TDs
Drew Brees, 29 for 36, 414 yards, 6 TDs, 1 INT

I don't think I've ever seen the Giants play in this type of shootout before. It's been insane.

dola,

Score is 42-42.

1 more TD and the game enters the top 10 highest scoring games in NFL history (if the wikipedia page is accurate (misread it. They need to get to 95 to tie for the top 10. I didn't notice that the page listed 13 games, not 10))

Of course it only takes a minute. Fumble by Saints returned for a TD by Giants. 13th touchdown scored in the game, the first TD that wasn't a passing TD.

They said it was scored as a fumble, but that didn't look like it satisfied the rules for a catch, to me. Looked more like an INT.

Too bad the NFL doesn't have college OT rules.. this Saints-Giants game could have been the highest scoring football game of the year (beating all the college games and all the Arena football games

The Giants are perfectly set up to do something stupid and lose the game. Let's see if they follow through.

Why would you ever punt that in bounds? Never mind the low line drive, assuming he wasn't told to punt out of bounds I would be firing the special teams coach if they lose this

Looks like its over. Achilles injury. I'm not a big fan of his often-times juvenile antics on and off the field, but a big fan of his talent and ability-he will be missed.

Cant believe Forbath has bounced around like he has. I know the Skins cut him, not because he couldn't kick FG's, but because he didnt get enough TB's.

Nobody's more surprised than I am. Defense really buckled down in the second half and kept them in the game. That was pretty great.

Offensive line improved hugely in the second half too.

Though I have the feeling if Bell hadn't been injured, would not have been close to winning that game with the way the offense played.

Its like their goal is to do just enough to be able to say "well it was close but we didn't make enough plays. We need to get better and ready [to do the same thing] next week"

And holy crap they need to find someone tbat wants to get to the QB.

Because they're the Giants and they find ways to continually screw up situational plays. They are the anti-Pats in that regard.

Yeah I don't know how that's considered a catch given the current state of the way they are ruled. Also pisses me off because I have Snead on my fantasy team and could really use those 2 points back.

The refs called it a blind side hit, but they were about 5 yards apart when they both lined up for the hit

Geno Smith isn't helping, but this is two weeks in a row Todd Bowles has shown no urgency and very questionable end of game timeout usage in games that they could have come back in.

The call on that last play of the SEA-DAL game pretty much sums up how I have watched the games today. Not really sure what the rules are that govern that play and if they are being applied correctly.

What do they consider control? He had no control of that ball, it was merely resting on his hand at that point.
