Recruiting Report
We have managed to wrap up two more recruits. CB Carlton McEndoo 5' 9" 165 lbs Abraham Lincoln High School San Jose, California 4.0 GPA 1347 Test Score Scout Report by Ian McGee (Terrific with DB's) Strength: Kick Returning Weakness: Defending the Run Ranked 85th at his Position Nationally Ranked 9th at his position in his state Smaller DB, but one that is explosive and exciting on Kick Returns. He has talent, and if needed, I will move him over to open up the offense. Defense In 9 games he had 39 tackles, 5.5 sacks and 11 INT's Offense 24 Rushes for 131 yards and 1 TD 17 receptions for 331 yards and 1 TD ILB Quinn Easley 6'2" 225 lbs Ludlow High School Ludlow, Kentucky 3.54 GPA 1172 Test Score Scout Report by Jerry Gray (Pretty Good with Linebackers) Strength: Intercepting Passes Weakness: Zone Defense Ranked 68th at his position nationally Ranked 18th overall in his state Ranked 2nd at his position in his state A hefty linebacker with speed and the nose for the ball. In 9 games, he racked up 92 tackles, 1 sack and 2 INT's. Extremely intelligent, and may gie JJ Urban a run for his money at the spot. After watching the game film, and actually meeting the kid, I realize that he is better than Jerry said. We also lost one recruit. DT Lawrence Buckner decided on Mississippi State.

Week 13
Last game of the season and we head into Alabama-Birmingham. We will not finish at .500 but we will end at 5-6. This is a must be, considering Alabama-Birmingham are 0-10. We are only 6 point favorites. I am thinking of stacking the line, forcing them to pass on us. Injury Report WR Jeffrey Tubbs is out for the season, if not longer(29 Weeks) with a compound leg fracture DE Cornell Abrams out for 3 weeks due to a sprained back RB Carlos Carruth is out for 6 weeks with his sperated shoulder WR Ernie Cochrane's turf toe is back...probable for undetermined amount of time CB Nicky Wooden is out for 9 weeks with torn knee cartilage ILB Lonnie Brewer is probable for 8 weeks with a broken hand. TE Austin Burnstine is out with a seperated shoulder for 12 weeks FB Terrell Gray is probable with a Bruised Sternum for 5 weeks.

Week 13 Box Score
Code:
This win was a great way to end our season and head on home. 571 yards of total offense over 300 yards rushing...it just felt good. I look forward to next year as we solidify the youth from our #1 draft class, and we work in this years recruits as well.

Recruiting Report
3 more recruits to bring us up to 12 total. S Eric Ralph 6'0" 188 lbs John F. Kennedy High School Taylor, Michigan 3.38 GPA 1381 Test Score Scout report by Butch Stafford (Terrible with Defensive Backs) Strength: Intercepting Passes Weakness: Kick Returning Ranked 673rd overall nationally Ranked 29th at his position nationally Ranked 28th overall in his state Ranked 3rd at his position in his state All-State Team Selection This kid is has a crazy noodle for football. He is a student of the game and has the ability to break to and where he needs to be. He has played both sides of the ball, but he really excelled in defense. He is also a good win for us, and pushes us up the chain on this recruiting class a bit. Defense 9 games 74 tackles, 3.5 Sacks, and 14 INT's Offense 39 Rushes for 236 yards and 4 TD's 8 receptions for 153 yards CB Moe Sellers 5'9" 154 lbs B.M.C. Durfee High School Fall River, Massachusetts 3.63 GPA 1333 Test Score Scout Report by Dixon Fletcher (Poor with DB's) Strength: Man to Man Defense Weakness: Defending the run Ranked 94th at his position nationally Ranked 28th overall in his state Ranked 1st at his position in his state Now, I might sound rude, but the CB class in Mass was majorly thin, but we saw this kid play and we are definately taking a chance. However, his intelligence, dedication and film time drew us to him. Defense 9 games, 43 tackles, 4 sacks, and 8 INT's Offense 21 rushes for 101 yards T Sherman Sims 6'4" 266 lbs First Coast High School Jacksonville, Flordia 3.59 GPA 1354 Test Score Scout Report by Jerry Gray (Pretty Good with OL) Strength: Pass Protection Weakness: Run Blocking Ranked 679th overall nationally Ranked 77th at his position nationally Ranked 35th overall in his state Ranked 6th at his position in his state Another big, bright OL, that is ready to prove a lot of the skeptics wrong. After meeting him, and watching him play I knew he was better than what Jerry said, and boy is this one excited to play for us. 3 recruits that have selected other schools S Winston Meadows decided on Hawaii K Kenyon Gragg decided on North Carolina State FB Raymond Oliver decided on Virginia Tech

Final Recruiting Report
What can you say, we wrapped up the recruits during conference championship week. 4 recruits committed to us. DT Keith Blades 6'4" 245 lbs Jordan High School Long Beach, California 3.18 GPA 1119 Test Score Scout Report from Ian McGee (Terrific with DL) Strength: Rushing the Passer Weakness: Defending the Run Ranked 85th at his position nationally Ranked 9th at his position in his state An intelligent DT that is a filler right now, we needed a DT, and we might have one with Keith, he has the football name, let's hope he has mad skills. In 9 games played he had 58 tackles and 6.5 sacks. C Preston Weber 6'2" 254 lbs Arkoma High School Arkoma, Oklahoma 2.03 GPA 798 Test Score Scout Report by Matthew Hitchcock (lousy with OL) Strength : Pass Protection Weakness: Run Blocking Ranked 78th at his position nationally Ranked 23rd overall in his state Ranked 2nd at his position in his state Strong Center. Taking a chance P Jeremy Stone 6'3" 196 lbs Gallatin High School Gallatin, Tennessee 2.31 GPA 944 Test Score Scout Report From Jerry Gray (Pretty Good with Kickers) Strength: Punting Distance Weakness: Hang Time Ranked 70th at his position nationally Ranked 55th overall in his state Ranked 2nd at his position in his state Good kid, with 36 punts for 1524 yards for an avg of 42.3 yards per punt. S Junior Mueller 6'3" 189 lbs Goochland High School Goochland, Virgina 1.95 GPA 738 Test Score Scout Report From Jumbo Sellers (Terrible with DB's) Strength: Man to Man Weakness: Punt Returning Ranked 52nd at his position Nationally Ranked 26th overall in his state Ranked 2nd at his position in his state. Junior is our annual charity case. This kid is much better than Jumbo has said, and I am hoping he can handle college and hang in there. Defense 9 games, 59 tackles, 2 sacks, and 9 INT's We had a variety of recruits turn us down. I won't list them, as we are at our max on recruits we can sign.

Personal Evaluation
Following the #1 recruiting class with one as bad as we got hurt. But what shocked me was the performance for the year. We were definately young with talent, and it should translate into wins this next year. Academically, we kept the people out of the doghouse, we had two warnings, but they were both seniors who would not be here next season. They actually cleaned their act up and passed. Next years focus, we will determine from the get go, ways to open the offense up with the talent we have on that side of the ball, we should be scoring a lot of points easily. Our defense, I hope to have us shutting down the run, and forcing teams to beat us in the air. Look for us to challange for the Conference Championship next season
