Seriously, good luck in your job search.

Nah, I did my time in the fast food industry a long time ago. I can always teach, but... well, I don't really want to.

I graduate in May with a BA in Professional Writing. This summer I'll have the call for a NECBL team as a warm-up for a minor league team next season. I'll be at the Winter Meetings in Dallas this year, and hopefully will have a full-time gig by early February of '06.

I work as a Structual Engineer at Curtiss-Wright Electro-Mechanical Coporation which is about 20 miles north of the city of Pittsburgh. We work on a lot of projects for the Navy but are not Navy employees. We are government contrators mainly. I help design and analyze main coolant pumps for reactor plants that the Navy employs on Submarines and Aircraft Carriers. Right now we are designing a way to launch Airplanes from a Aircraft Carrier by using magnents. We are also working on reequipping a lot of nuclear power plants with new Control Rod Drive Mechanisms (CRDMs) which regulate the amount of power a nuclear plant outputs. It is pretty interesting work. Working for the Navy is fun, but it can be a headache.

My usual job is to look at a particular piece of the pump (or other equipment) and analyze whether or not it will break or deform during normal operations, shock (ie a bomb exploding around it), or a plant transient (ie loss of cooling water). If it does fail I have to work with the Design Engineer to come up with a better design. Our company writes most of its own codes that we use to do the analysis.

I do pre-sales and post-sales technical consulting for my company. Basically that means I travel around with the sales people and be the technical part of their presentations, and if someone wants to try out the software, I help them with a proof of concept.

I call myself a keyboard jockey. I work for World Ship Supply, the largest ship chandler in the US Gulf region (which is part of the largest ship chandler group in North America). I was originally hired to do data entry, but now I do other tasks in addition to that. I create a portion of our advertising. I designed CD's to hold a particular project: a provisions price list that we bring to vessels which have entered the Mississippi River. We have gotten a lot of new business in the past year because of this price list. I am also the company jester.

I'll probably be moving out of Louisiana this summer, and unless I move to a city in which World Ship's group is represented, I'll have to leave all of this behind.

I help evil corporations and evil rich people pay less in taxes.

I'm a Senior Tax Advisor for an extended branch of the Wrigley family (think goat curse and chewing gum). They're cousins I believe. I run the tax compliance and tax consulting operations for the commercial real estate holdings of the branch. I'm also responsible for the personal income tax services for the members of the family, the executives and board of directors of the corporate holding company.

I love my job, and the people I work for.The family is loyal to is employees, so long as their loyalty is returned. I take care of them, they take care of me. The best perks - floor seats for the Suns (especially now that they're playing well) and owner seats for the AZ Dbacks.

I'm toying with the idea of law school, with a focus on tax law. My end goal being involved in tax policy making at the Federal level. But right now that's still just a dream.

Oh, and I also own 50% of some software company.

I'm a counselor at a prep school for delinquents in Wyoming. I'm finishing up a BA in Public Policy from DePaul this summer and I'm working on making my company, Omnivore Developments, profitable enough that I can do it full-time. If not, I'm going to grad school to get a masters in Public Policy.

I'm interested specifically in education policy.

This summer, I'm going to be tennis director at 3 camps (2 residential, one day camp) in Connecticut.

BA is History. Went and tried to do network hardware sales, decided that wasn't my cup of tea and I really wanted to teach. Now engaged in either getting my M.A.T or else my initial teacher's licensure here in Mass so that I can teach HS history. In the meantime I sling lattes @ annoying suburbanites here in the Boston-area, and have for 6 years now. Represent Starbucks! (or not!)

For the interested folks, I'll be leaving Louisiana because my wife is getting her Ph.D in computer science in May. There don't seem to be any professor jobs open at any universities in Louisiana, so she's applied to 22 schools which are all elsewhere. I'll be going wherever she's going. She's gotten her very first nibble (a promise for a phone interview) from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, but it's still early in the process, so she'll probably be approached by several other universities over the next couple of months. As for me, I'll just wait at World Ship until it's time to go, and then I'll try to get work in a television newsroom. I'd love to be a video editor.

I have a B.A. in History, so naturally I'm a programmer. ;- )

After giving up my gig as stay at home dad, I've gone back into the mainstream workforce as a COBOL (yes, its still used out there) programmer for a company that writes software for auto dealerships. Ye haw, it pays the bills.

That my friend is something I am more than willing to do.

Platinum Memeber with Delta for the 3 years I travelled seeing over 350K in 2 years and never leaving North America. I racked up Gold Points with Marriot and Starwood.

I liked getting free upgrades to suites and 1st class, it turns into the perks of travel.

And if I go somewhere fun, I pay for the family to join me.

Anyways, I am sincere, and would love to get a job like that again.

Forgot about the whoring, probably because that's a weekend gig. Thanks for reminding me. I'll make sure I get that on my business cards as soon as possible.

As far as the games, the company only has two seats for the Suns and whenever the CEO, CFO or some other higher up wants the tickets I have to give up my game. I've been to two Suns games this season, and have tickets for next Friday. I think I'm also down for three more games in February and March.

The company has ten seats for the Dbacks, so on average we go to about five games a month during the season. They also have Spring Training tickets for the Giants and I think the Cubbies (don't quote me on that), but I've never been to a Spring Training game because I'm really usually booked up that time of year.

hmmm...well, let's see. I guess the best way to descibe what I do is...fly airplanes. Yup, that sums it up.

I fly 70-seat Regional Jets for an airline HQ'd in Cincinnati.

see also.

degrees in Psych, and Sociology. Work experience in kids with severe emotional disturbances and restaurant management, and flight instruction. Sometimes all three of those things cross each others paths.

I help evil corporations get bigger by buying smaller other evil corporations. I also sometimes help VERY large evil corporations when they're accused of hurting smaller corporations or consumers. Though sometimes, if the corporation I am working for, feels another larger evil corporation is doing something untoward then I help defend the little guy. Basically I'm an antitrust lawyer doing both EU and US antitrust law.
