The Cowboys had better pick Derrick Johnson.

That is all.

Oh yeah! The Lions might have just become my third favorite team behind the Eagles and Saints. Williams will be awesome beside their other receivers. Harrington better get it done this year.

Not a chance in hell Williams stays with Detroit.

It was a smart pick by them, because he would have gotten picked up by Dallas at 11. Now they can sit back and listen to offers.

Detroit has some of the top young WR in the business now. No excuses for a lacklustre passing game.

Where's all the Lion's fans today?

BTW - any chance Dallas selects Rodgers down at #20 if he's still there?

I don't know. Dallas needed a speedy receiver more. Plus picking another possesion receiver will just make Keyshawn even more unbearable, unless that's what Parcells considers as motivation.

I wouldn't be suprised if Parcells trades down a few spots for extra picks.

That's because the free buffet was on the other side of the field, behind Ware.

So do I. Although I would have picked Derrick Johnson, had he been available which he was.

I know some Texas fans may not agree with me but Derrick Johnson is kinda of overrated. Great college player but I am not sure if he will translate that into the NFL where fullbacks are like mini guards who move fast and hit hard. Also after reading his scouting report shedding block seems to be a weakness for him. If any Texas fan can confirm this please do so or anyone who has seen him play alot more then I have..(I watched him about 4 times this season but i was flipping channels)

I think at least a couple of the the DE/OLB types the Cowboys were looking at are still going to be around for their #20 pick. DJ will be long gone by then.

dola,

my big knock on Ware was that his draft board rise seemed to be solely based on his combine performance. In most instances, a great combine performance does not translate into a productive NFL career.

Nope, the Saints take an offensive lineman.

I think it's gonna be a while before the Saints trade up to draft another Longhorn in the first round...

And since I just got on.

I didn't think Mike Williams was God as Mel Kiper does, but in the situation he can be in in Detroit, he's going to thrive. Lions couldn't convert third downs and couldn't convert in the redzone.
