Congrats to Canada and to Finland who beat the US in the 3rd place game. I sincerely hope that the next time this tournament is in the US that the US crowds don't treat the Canadians with chants of "Canada Sucks" so this can die with this tournament, it's done and over with, lets move on and just cheer good hockey.

No worries there. When the US hosts the tournament, most of the people in the stands are Canadians.

It was unfortunate, and you never know, but I really doubt that one call would cause a six-goal swing in the final score.

There is no doubt the Canadians travel well, maybe we should host the tourney a little more south then say Grand Forks!

On Doug MacLean's radio show here in Columbus, he said that Columbus was putting in a bid for the next WJC that would be in the US and he seemed pretty confident that we would get it, because of Nationwide and the Schott, two great hockey facilities and our location. We shall see how this turns out..

I've always wondered why Detroit hasn't put in for a major tournament such as this.

I remember when Boston hosted the tournament and the turn out was very disappointing.

I think they are going to try to avoid major US cities for that reason Karim. Grand Forks did well and I think they are going to try to stay to that kind of region to host in the US.
