In other words, making 1,000 yards rushing would be a legit barometer of a RB again.

Why do the dumbasses say 1,000 yards is a good barometer. I say 1,600.

Some things that come to mind are eliminating the DH, having a college football playoff system, and make all NFL games be played outdoors on grass. But these are just runner-ups.

If I could change one thing I would have the refs get the call right. Brady fumbled the fucking ball.

Even though I'm not a big baseball fan, eliminating the DH would be very, very high on my list.

Still, if push came to shove i'd probable settle for this very simple change:

Remove the "after the kickoff" commercial break from NFL games. Nothing drives me nuts like:

Touchdown! commerical break. Kickoff. commercial break. 1st down.

The tax system also has relevance when talking about the price of tickets. Since businesses can write off such a large percentage of tickets, they actually cost much less to these entities. I know the complaint is about the common man being able to go, but I go to plenty of games (College, NFL, MLB) and the common man is not in short supply. Can people bring families of 5 or 6? Maybe not as often as they would like, but hey that's life.

I would eliminate all players unions.

It would also be nice to see all contracts be performance based. But, in a free market owners would want to offer guarantees to players like Payton Manning in order to get him to come to their team. It would also be neat to eliminate an owners guarantee to have a draft pick. Basically, your draft gives you the right to bargain with the player first.

As far as players getting paid, well in a free market which features voluntary exchange, a person is able to demand a salary or pay based upon how much they please their fellow man. Doctors and Lawyers get what they can by pleasing those who will pay them. Michael Jordan was able to make 30 million a year in the 1990s because he pleased his fellow man on a greater level than any brain surgeon.

Guys like Terrell Owens and Ron Artest are possibly going to find out that pure ability does not guarantee pay. They may well be on the downward slope of pleasing their fellow man. I mean the same train wreck over and over again gets old and most people get tired of paying to see it. Plus destroying a teams ability to perform as a unit starts to be very unpleasing to many.

As for teachers and policeman, if they can command more money, then go for it.
