I don't have my music near me (it stays in the car), but I want Crap's CD's.

Wouldn't that make an interesting multi-disc random mix?

There is such a thing as too much Emo Phillips.

What the hell happened to that guy, anyway? Does he still look and dress like a 10 year old English school boy circa 1832?

The first 5 cd's in my cd case right now:

Pavement - "Brighten the Corners"
Kings of Convenience - "Versus" (a remix album)
Doves - "The Last Broadcast"
Basement Jaxx - "Rooty"
Interpol - "Turn on the Bright Lights"

The cd in my player right now:
Ass Ponys - "Lohio"

A great SW Ohio band that had a fleeting moment of national fame in the mid '90's with "Little Bastard"... their last 2 albums are unbelievably good.

Bless you, another Doves fan...I love Interpol, Basement Jaxx as well...ever listen to Gomez, Starsailor, or Elbow?

He was on the Bob and Tom morning radio show a while back. I think he's still a touring comedian.

I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. So I ran over and said "Stop! don't do it!" "Why shouldn't I?" he said. I said, "Well, there's so much to live for!" He said, "Like what?" I said, "Well...are you religious or atheist?" He said, "Religious." I said, "Me too! Are you christian or buddhist?" He said, "Christian." I said, "Me too! Are you catholic or protestant?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me too! Are you episcopalian or baptist?" He said, "Baptist!" I said,"Wow! Me too! Are you baptist church of god or baptist church of the lord?" He said, "Baptist church of god!" I said, "Me too! Are you original baptist church of god, or are you reformed baptist church of god?" He said,"Reformed Baptist church of god!" I said, "Me too! Are you reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1879, or reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1915?" He said, "Reformed baptist church of god, reformation of 1915!" I said, "Die, heretic scum", and pushed him off. -- Emo Phillips

I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well." -- Emo Phillips

I've heard some things from all of them, but never really got into any of their stuff. I had Gomez's "Abandoned Shopping Trolley Hotline" that I won in a radio contest for a while... but ended up selling it.

My taste in Britpop tends towards the wussier side... i.e. The Cure, The Smiths, Coldplay's "Parachutes", and Travis.

That being said, that Doves album is awesome. I keep meaning to go back and pick up "Lost Souls" but haven't.

Abandoned Shopping Trolley is drab, but their first album Bring it On, is highly recommended. Coldplay is good...Doves first album is really dark murky and beautiful...it's the opposite of Last Broadcast which is more upbeat....their great in concert though, saw them in Philadelphia...with Elbow.

I've got Starsailor and listen to it occasionally, but all of that Euro-pop starts to sound too similar and it's definitely "mood" music for me - I have to be in the mood for it, or it's just too boring.
