Today, we play a 0-5 Washington team that is lacking talent. Should be an easy win. We have a lot of important recruits visiting, so I'll be trying to lay it on thick.

I never should have demoted Gable. He runs with such nice power. He finishes off a 9 play 62 yard drive with a 1 yard TD. 7-0. 5 runs and 4 passes on the drive. Sanchez was 3 of 4 including a nice 12 yard pass to Holland on 3rd and 11.

Will Harris picks off a 3rd down pass and gets excellent blocking to return it 28 yards for a TD. 14-0.

Their QB is wildly inaccurate and they go 3 and out.

Holland (98 speed) with one of the most beautiful punt returns for a TD that I've ever seen!! Here it is:

They use the running game to take pressure off and the QB starts hitting short passes. A very nice drive only ends when we make a goal line stand and stop them on 3rd and goal from the 2. They kick the short FG. 21-3.

Stafon with another nice run (he's been getting 10-12 yarders so far) breaks two tackles and runs it 62 yards for a TD! 28-3. Here is the play:

Their WR drops it on 3rd down and we force a 3 and out.

During the supersim in the 2nd quarter, Sanchez throws a pick to their DT.

Midway through the 2nd, we kick a FG to make it 31-3.

Towards the end of the half, a perfect drive with 7 plays on the ground and 4 passes ends with a 8 yard TD pass to Holland. 38-3.

Pinkard intercepts a deep pass with 3 seconds left in the half.

Halftime: 38-3 lead.

Early in the 3rd, their QB throws while Everson is hitting him.. it's a lame duck that Galippo picks off.

A 47 yard FG by David (barely made it) makes it 41-3.

McCurtis picks off a deep pass. Their QB might be one of the most inaccurate I've played against yet.

Gable finishes off another drive after Stafon is too tired to stay on the field. 47-3 as David shanks the XP. Gable with a 6 yard TD run.

Sanchez tries to go deep, but the safety picks it off. That will teach me about trying to run up the score.. oh well. End of 3, we are up 47-3 and I'll be bringing in the 2nd team offense and defense soon.

Early in the 4th, a 23 yard FG makes it 50-3.

Our 5th CB Newton picks off a pass has some excellent moves to beat 1 possible tackler and runs it down the sideline 72 yards for a TD. 57-3.

57-3 win. Their QB was horrible, but that was by far our best defensive performance overall.

Key Stats:

Sanchez: 14 of 26 for 182 yards 1 TD 2 INT's. 1 sack.

Stafon: 27 carries for 168 yards and 1 TD.

Gable: 11 caries for 38 yards and 2 TD's.

Tyler: 3 carries for 17 yards.

Holland: 6 catches for 55 yards and a TD.

Kaluka Maiava: 12 tackles, 2 for a loss.

5 different players had 1 INT.

Holland: 7 punt returns for 125 yards and a TD. 70 yard return on the TD.

Jake Locker: 10 of 35 for 146 yards with 5 INT's.

JR Hasty: 26 carries for 54 yards.

Auburn is 7-0, but for whatever reason has just cracked the top 25. They are 23rd in the polls.

Nebraska is now 7-0. They are #11 in the polls.

Texas barely beat Missouri 28-27. Texas is 6-0 and #1 in the polls.

Missouri is now 5-2 and 16th in the polls.

Top 5 in the polls:

1. Texas (37) 6-0
2. Louisville (23) 6-0
3. VT 5-1
4. Oklahoma 6-1
5. USC 5-1

Hawaii is 7th with a 6-0 record and Iowa is 8th with a 6-0 record.

Stafon is starting to get some Heisman hype.

Our next game is hosting a very good offensive team in Arizona State who are 5-0. However, their defense is poor and we should be able to score a lot of points.

We drive down the field, but their cornerback picks off an underthrown ball in the red zone.

Rudy Carpenter with some nice throws, but we stop them on the 24. They miss a 41 yard FG attempt, wide left.

Their WR's are making some amazing catches across the middle.. my safeties are drilling them and most teams drop it when that happens, but not these guys.

Early in the 2nd quarter, they end a long drive of 15 plays and 66 yards with a 3 yard run for a TD on 3rd and goal after I stuffed the run on 1st and 2nd downs from the 2. 7-0, Arizona State.

We respond on our 2nd drive (they have been controlling time of possession) with a 6 play 72 yard drive that ends with a 7 yard run by Stafon for a TD. The big play of the drive was a 27 yard pass to Ausberry. 7-7.

After shutting them down, we have a 11 play 72 yard drive in which we converted 4th and 1 and a 4th and 2. The drive ends with a 19 yard TD pass to Turner. 14-7.

Sanchez with another pick under pressure. That ends a promising drive.

They put together a 10 play 52 yard drive that ends in a 30 yard FG. 14-10. 29 seconds left in the half.

Rough 1st half for Sanchez, but we are up 14-10.

We stop them on 4th and 1 on our 40.

Stafon is untouched on a 4 yard TD run. 21-10. We had 5 pass plays and 4 run plays that drive. The key play was a 8 yard pass to Holland on 3rd and 6.

Pinkard gets a jump on a slant and picks it off. We mostly run it, but the drive ends with a 5 yard TD pass to Coleman, our FB. 28-10.

Stafon with 2 big catches on our next drive, including a little pass to the flat that he cut towards the middle and turned into a 35 yard gain. Sanchez to Stafon for a 8 yard TD pass to make it 35-10.

McCurtis makes a nice break on an out pattern and picks it off.

Hazelton catches an out, shakes a tackle, and makes it into a 34 yard gain.

End of 3: 35-10 lead.

Turner bobbles a pass on the goalline and the corner plucks it out of his hands for a pick.

We tackle the WR in the endzone on the next play for a safety. 37-10.

A long FG makes it 40-10.

I bring in the backups. On our next drive in Supersim, Corp throws a pick to their MLB.

They get a safety on us on our next drive in supersim. 40-12.

NO! Hollland playing at WR as a 2nd teamer gets crushed across the middle and suffers a broken clavicle. He is done for the year.

Ausberry is playing corner because our secondary is exhausted and he picks off a pass!

Corp runs it in from the 1 on our next drive. 47-12. 1 minute to go.

Game over. 47-12 win as our defense did much better than I expected against a solid offense.

Sanchez was 20 of 31 for 310 yards with 3 TD's 3 INT's.

Corp was 1 of 4 for 32 yards with an INT.

Stafon had 24 carries for 132 yards and 2 TD's.

Gable had 12 carries for 38 yards.

Stafon had 6 catches for 80 yards and a TD.

Patrick Turner had 5 catches for 96 yards and a TD.

Galippo had 12 tackles, 2 for a loss.

DE Kyle Moore had 7 tackles, 6 for a loss.

Everson Griffen had 7 tackles, 1 sack.

Ausberry, McCurtis, and Pinkard each had a pick.

Carpenter was 15 of 30 for 170 yards with 3 INT's.

Keegan Herring had 24 carries for 118 yards and a TD. He also had 4 catches for 34 yards.

Ok, time for what I hope is my final slider change. Jistic, on OS, is one of the best at making sliders in my opinion. He is going with default everything for offense and defense except for knockdowns at 85 and ints at 0 on AA. That is what I'm doing as well for now on. Hopefully, the interceptions won't get crazy. I'm keeping my special team sliders to make kicking long FG's more challenging.

News from around the country:

Texas beats Texas Tech 49-28 to advance to 7-0.

Iowa and Ohio State will be playing in a huge game this week.

Hawaii is 7-0 behind their new QB. Their only challenging game left is at Clemson.

We have a bye this week.

After the bye week, Ohio State destroys Iowa 28-0 to end Iowa's undefeated season.

Florida State has is upset by Maryland 28-7. That loss drops Florida State way down in the polls.

Tennessee is 3-5 after a loss to Alabama.

Clemson beats Georgia Tech 45-31 to remain undefeated (8-0.)

Oklahoma State upsets Oklahoma 31-28. Oklahoma drops from 4th to 9th in the polls.

Top 5 poll now:

1. Texas 8-0
2. Louisville 8-0
3. VT 7-1
4. USC 6-1
5. Hawaii 8-0.

In recruiting, we lose out on on the top kicker in the nation despite going after him with everything we had. He is from Texas, but he chose Michigan over Texas and USC.

Next up is a game at 4-3 Oregon State. Their offense is decent this year, but their defense is terrible. This should be a blowout.

It's a downpour and it's only 35 degrees today. Not a game that favors our offense..

Terrell Thomas picks off an out on the 2nd play of the game. Very nice play.

6 play 47 yard drive ends with a 1 yard Stafon TD run! 7-0.

On 3rd and 9, their QB throws a pick to Pinkard across the middle. Hmmm, 2 early interceptions, but their QB is poorly rated..

Defensive pass interference saves Sanchez an INT in the endzone.

The next play our FB, Coleman, runs it in from the 2. 14-0.

We force a 3 and out, but they quickly force us to punt as well.

Kyle forces their HB to fumble and Galippo recovers.

Their safety picks off a long pass attempt.

McCurtis with a pick to get our 3rd one of the day in the 1st quarter. This was on 3rd and 8 when they tried a corner route.

Due to injuries, when we go to our 5 WR set, McCurtis is on the field... he catches a TD on 2nd and goal from the 8! 21-0.

On my next drive, Sanchez throws a pick to their MLB on a slant.

We quickly force them to punt. Our next drive ends with a 12 yard TD pass to Coleman. 28-0. We covered 78 yards in 8 plays.

Our defense is really dominating the way I expected them to. We force another quick punt after 5 plays.

Our next drive ends with a 2u yard TD pass to Ausberry who is in the slot on a deep cross. 35-0. Sanchez threw it well to sneak between the 2 safeties.

David hits the ball perfectly and barely makes a 49 yard FG. 38-0.

Our next drive, Sanchez throws his 4th TD of the day - this one to Vidal on a 12 yard out. 45-0. 10 play 72 yard drive that was mostly running plays.

We recover their 2 fumble of the day to get the all back on their 45. The next play Stafon fumbles it and they recover. Our defense forces a 3 and out as we are locking down their receivers.

Stafon catches a screen on our first play, has perfect blocking, jukes the one lone corner that was out there unblocked and takes it down the sideline for a 81 yard TD! 52-0.

They put togeter a good drive with a 25 yard pass to their TE and a 23 yard pass to their HB, but the QB throws a pick inside the redzone to Kaluka Maiava.

With a 52-0 lead at the end of the 3rd, we bring in our 2nd team offense.

First play, Gable has an amazing run with just a perfect cutback! 67 yard TD to make it 59-0. Here is a look at this run:

They put together a very nice drive (against a tired defense since we scored so quickly) which ends in a 1 yard TD pass to the FB. 59-7 and I put out my 2nd team defense now.

Despite being down by 50 in the 4th, they go for an onside kick which Vidal recovers and runs back for 14 yards.

Due to injuries and having my starters out, Shareece Wright plays WR and catches a 9 yard pass on 3rd and 7.

Marc Tyler is bulldozing their defenders on some of his runs, Gable ends the 11 play, 36 yard drive (10 runs) with a 5 yard TD run. 66-7.

Their backup QB comes in late and throws to their backup WR for a 64 yard TD! 66-14.

Key Stats:

Sanchez: 24 of 30 for 372 yards with 5 TD's 2 INT's. He was sacked 3 times.

Stafon: 19 carries for 81 yards and a TD.

Gable: 12 carries for 131 yards and 2 TD's.

Tyler: 3 carries for 19 yards.

Stafon: 5 catches for 121 yards and a TD.

TE Miller: 5 catches for 59 yards.

Vidal: 4 catches for 40 yards and a TD.

Turner: 4 catches for 61 yards.

DE Kyle Moore: 11 tackles, 5 for a loss, 1 sack.

Sean Canfield: 13 of 24 for 214 yards with 1 TD 4 INT's.

Micah Strickland: 29 carries for 74 yards.

All-American TE Gabe Miller: 3 catches for 70 yards.

OLB Isaiah Cook: 8 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT.

We lose out on 2 more highly prized recruits as a 5 star athlete from Texas chooses Florida over USC and Texas.

Also, we lose a 4 star DT that we wanted who is from Michigan when he chooses Clemson over USC and Nebraska.

In good news, we have the #1 QB in the nation drooling over us. We also have a couple of top CB's that are almost ready to commit.

In other news:

Hawaii continues to roll opponents. They beat Nevada 42-13. Of course, only Boise State has a winning record and tey only won that game 24-13.

Nebraska is now 10-0 and 4th in the polls. We are ahead of them at #3 in the polls.

Nebraska's QB Ganz is being touted for the Heisman. Stafon is also in the mix.

This week we play a 5-3 Stanford team that has a better offense than Oregon State but a worse defense. Should be interesting.

A 13 play 64 yard drive ends when Sanchez finds Miller for a TD on 3rd and goal from the 4. 7-0.

Galippo picks off a slant pass at midfield. Before that, their QB was working us.

They stop us on that drive, but our next drive is a 14 play 72 yard drive that ends with a 9 yard TD pass to Vidal. 14-0.

On our next drive Stafon and Gable go down with injuries! Stafon might be back later as he only has a strained muscle, but Gable is done for the day. Still, we move the ball and David makes a 45 yard FG to make 17-0.

Time for Tyler to shine. Tyler catches a short pass on a circle route but it is the perfect place for the defense. He shakes off an arm tackle and takes it 70 yards for a TD! 24-0. Here is a look at that play:

Cushing with an acrobatic pick while covering the HB in the flat.

At the end of the half, their OLB picks off an out pattern! He returns it 82 yards for a TD as time expires. 24-8 as they run it for 2.

We start the half with a 11 play 66 yard drive that ends with a 4 yard Tyler TD run. 31-8.

A good drive for Stanford ends when McCurtis picks it off on our 2.

Sanchez is sacked on 3rd down and fumbles it! They recover in the endzone for a TD! 31-16 after they run it in for 2.

Tyler with a good power run in which he breaks two arm tackles and runs 31 yards to the 1. 2 plays later he runs it in from the 1. 38-16.

Cushing gets called for pass interference which negates his interception.

McCurtis picks it off in the endzone to end their drive. Our defense is bending a bit but never breaking.

Early in the 4th, we make it 41-16 with a short FG.

Our next drive we get stopped on 3rd and goal from the 1. A short FG makes it 44-16.

We put in our 2nd team offense and defense on the next drive.

McKnight flies over the lines for a 1 yard TD to make it 51-16 with 2 minutes to go. That ends a 9 play 63 yard drive that was all runs.

Game over. 51-16 win.

Key Stats:

Sanchez: 25 of 37 for 310 yards with 3 TD's 1 INT.

Tyler: 26 carries for 134 yards and 2 TD's.

Stafon: 9 carries for 24 yards.

McKnight: 3 carries for 15 yards and a TD.

Vidal: 7 catches for 71 yards and a TD.

Miller: 6 catches for 47 yards and a TD.

DaJohn Harris: 5 tackles, 2 sacks.

McCurtis: 2 interceptions.

Garrett Moore: 11 of 23 for 134 yards 4 INT's.

Anthony Kimble: 21 carries for 54 yards.

Oklahoma beat Nebraska 30-24 to end Nebraska's perfect season.

Texas beat Kansas 31-21 to go 10-0 and remain #1 in both polls.

ND beat Purdue 21-14 and is now 8-2.

Top 5 Poll:

1. Texas 10-0
2. VT 9-1
3. USC 8-1
4. Hawaii 10-0.
5. Louisville 9-1 (they lost to Pittsburgh 20-14 two weeks ago)

We lost out in recruiting one of the top HB's in California, as he chose Texas over USC and UF.

However, we stole one of the top CB's in the country. He was ranked 49th overall. Tyrone Overstreet is a 4 star CB who is 6'0" 172 with 4.3 speed, great acceleration, and excellent man coverage ability. He is from Campbell, OH. He chose us over Ohio State and WVU.

We also got a solid verbal from 3 star C Rudy Russell. He is from Huntington Park, CA. He is ranked 576 overall. He is 6'2 280 and is a better run blocker than pass blocker.

This week we have 4 recruits visiting as we play a struggling Oregon tam. They are 3-6 despite having a very good offense. However, their defense is young and inexperienced. Time to put up some points again.

Oregon forces us to punt on our 1st drive, then puts together a very impresive drive which only stop at our 4. 3-0 as they hit the short FG.

Our next drive is well balanced and ends with a 5 yard TD pass to Miller. 9 play 61 yard drive in total. 7-3.

We force a 3 and out. McKnight with a good punt return sets us up at their 44.

Our next drive ends with another TD pass to our TE, Miller! This time on a PA pass for 14 yards. 14-3.

Sanchez is 5 of 5 on our next drive which covers 74 yards on 6 plays. The final play is a 12 yard TD pass to Turner. 21-3.

Oregon responds with a good drive that stalls inside our 10. The short FG makes it 21-6.

Our next drive is finished by Stafon flying over the pile. 28-6. Oregon has a minute to score. They run a very nice 2 minute offense to get into FG range and they make it 28-9.

A great first drive from us eats up clock and ends in a TD. 8 yard TD run by Stafon who carried it 7 times on this drive. 35-9. That was a 12 play 81 yard drive.

Thomas with his first pick of the day on a desperation deep pass by Oregon's QB, late in the 3rd.

6 play 61 yard drive ends with a 17 yard TD run by Stafon. 42-9 early in the 4th.

Next drive, our safety picks it off and returns it 26 yards for a TD! 49-9.

Our backups come into the game now. After forcing a 3 and out, we marchit down the field ending with a 6 yard TD run by Gable. 56-9.

Galippo recovers a fumble and it's all unraveling for them now. We settle for a FG and they respond with a nice TD drive including a 20 yard TD pass. 59-16 after that.

With 54 seconds left on their 1, I have my QB take a knee twice.

59-16 win.

Key Stats:

Sanchez: 19 of 23 for 266 yards with 3 TD's 0 INT's.

Corp: 5 of 7 for 47 yards.

Stafon: 26 carries for 93 yards with 3 TD's.

Gable: 8 carries for 42 yards and a TD.

Turner: 6 catches for 103 yards and a TD.

Vidal: 5 catches for 78 yards.

Miller: 4 catches for 45 yards and 2 TD's.

Taylor Mays: 11 tackles, 3 for a loss, 1 fumble recovery, 1 fumble forced.

Everson Griffen: 7 tackles, 3 for a loss, 2 sacks.

Cody Kempt: 17 of 25 for 252 yards with 2 INT's.

Jonathan Stewart: 30 carries for 110 yards.

Jaison Williams: 9 catches for 152 yards.

Both good and bad news on the recruiting front this week:

Donte' Porter a 6'2 166 pound JUCO CB who was ranked just below overstreet has given us a solid verbal! He is from Bell, CA and he chose us over FSU and UCLA. He isn't as good of a coverage guy as Overstreet but he is just as fast. He also is a great leaper. He is a 4 star player who is ranked 57th overall.

The #1 punter in the nation signed with us! I wish we could have gotten the kicker as well, but maybe this punter can kick FG's? Chase Hardy is 6'1 191 He is a 4 star player who is ranked 175th overall. He is from Eagle Pass, TX. He chose us over Texas A&M and Alabama. He has tremendous leg strength.

Now, the bad news. We were working on the #1 WR in the nation, but he signed with Auburn. He was from Richland, WA.

We also lost a CB to Ohio State, but he was lower ranked than the 2 we signed. He is from Ashaway, RI.

We lost a MLB that I wanted for depth to Fresno State.

In news around the nation:

Hawaii is now 11-0 after beating #21 Clemson (9-2) 31-21. They have vaulted over me in the polls to #2! Their last game is a 5-5 Michigan State team. Hawaii is even getting some 1st place votes over Texas!

In the BCS:

1. Texas 11-0
2. Hawaii 11-0
3. VT 10-1
4. USC 9-1 (despite being #3 in the polls)
5. Oklahoma 10-2

Our last home game is against an 8-2 ND team. We have several recruits coming to this game, and I want to give them a good show. Notre Dame has a very good offense. Their defense is just average.

Clausen was 5 of 5 until he threw a pick on the 2 yard line. Great drive before that interception.

Hazelton catches a deep cross in stride and takes it 61 yards for a TD. 7-0.

Taylor Mays DRILLS their WR across the middle and he fumbles. Will Harris picks it up for us.

We score our 2nd TD early in the 2nd with a Stafon run for a 2 yard TD. 14-0. That was a 9 play 68 yard drive. After our defense quickly stops them, we put together a 35 yard drive that ends in a FG. 17-0.

Our next drive ends when Sanchez throws a deep ball that is picked off on their 1.

Late in the 2nd, we take out their star HB with a nasty hit from Cushing. He had been a big part of their ability to move the ball.

Clausen throws another pick inside our 5. Other than that, he is playing great for a sophomore or any QB.

Halftime: Up 17-0.

Clausen has another great drive, but this time he ends it with a 4 yard TD pass to the TE. 17-7.

I may have underestimated their defense which is playing very well. We get stopped at their 29 and settle for a FG. 20-7.

Pinkard gets us a 3rd pick against Clausen.

I try to go to Turner in single coverage deep, but the cornerback wrestles it out of his hands for a pick.

Clausen with a nice drive that ends with a 7 yard TD pass. 20-14.

We quickly drive down the field in 7 plays that cover 74 yards ending in a 7 yard TD run by Gable. 26-14 as we fail to convert the 2.

Clausen is on fire now. He shreds our defense including a 18 yard, 14 yard, and then a 10 yard pass that is a TD. 26-21.

On a PA pass on 3rd and 1 on our own 15, Sanchez hits Vidal in stride for an 85 yard TD!!! 33-21.

We force a 4th and 12 and they can't complete it. Stafon suffers a severely sprained wrist on his 1st carry! He'll miss the UCLA game That will also end his Heisman hopes, I imagine.

David misses a 39 yard FG wide right that would have given us a 2 TD lead.

33-21 win. I wonder if the recruits will be impressed?

Key stats:

Sanchez 19 of 33 for 391 yards with 2TD's 2 INT's.

Stafon: 23 carries for 94 yards and a TD.

Gable: 12 carries for 84 yards and a TD.

Vidal: 8 catches for 199 yards and 2 TD's. I imagine that game will push him towards going pro if he wasn't already after this year.

Everson Griffen: 11 tackles, 5 for a loss, 2 sacks.

Clausen: 33 of 47 for 380 yards with 3 TD's 3 INT's.

Jackson: 8 catches for 92 yards and 2 TD's.

Texas beat Texas A&M 27-21 to go undefeated in the regular season and remain #1 in the polls.

If Hawaii beats 5-6 Michigan State this week, they will probably remain #2 in the polls (where they have jumped) and get a chance to play in the national championship game.

We have moved up to #3 in the polls and if we beat UCLA and Hawaii loses, I believe we would end up in the national championship game.

Due to missing that last game, Stafon has dropped out of Heisman contention. The leading candidates are Bess who is a WR from Hawaii, Stover who is a WR from Alabama, and Ganz who is Nebraska's QB.

I thought I had posted a recruiting update that I don't see in the thread, so I'll repost it. We lost out on a QB we were going after who chose Florida over Auburn and USC. However, he was my 2nd option so I wasn't pursuing him much. We also lost out on an athlete from WA who chose Boise State.

We did get 2 of our biggest recruits to sign! Cornelius Johnson is a 6'1 194 pound 5 star WR from Newark, CA who is ranked 11th overall. He doesn't have elite speed, but he has very good speed. He has great agility, acceleration, and hands. He is also a great leaper.

Jamar Atkinson is a 5'11 230 pound 5 star FB who was #1 in the nation. He is ranked 17th overall. He is a very good blocker and a decent pass receiver, but he doesn't have good speed. He is a Juco player and will likely start right away for us.

Now, we play an 9-2 (that should help our BCS numbers) UCLA squad that is one of the best we've played all year outside of Cal and ND. It's raining and the temp is in the low 50's.

Our first drive, Gable breaks a tackle attempt by a corner (Stafon is still injured) and turns it into a 21 yard TD run. 7-0.

We exchange defensive stops, but our punter pins them on the 1!

Their HB breaks a tackle in the endzone and gets to the 10.

UCLA finishes a 99 yard 14 play drive with a TD run from the 3. Olsen was 6 of 7 on the drive and made some of the best throws I've ever seen a CPU QB make.

Sanchez responds with a strong drive, but we get stopped at their 21 when our TE drops a pass that would have given us a 1st. David makes the 38 yard FG. 10-7.

McCurtis gets a pick on their next drive. We ground it out and Gable carries it 9 times in row including a 3 yard TD run. 17-7.

They return the kickoff for a TD! 17-14.

Sanchez throws a pick on our next drive on a short cross that their linebacker picks off. They are on our 22.

Their kicker hits the upright on a 27 yard FG attempt and misses!

On our first carry of the next drive, Gable gets hurt and is done for the regular season and possibly the bowl game. On the very next play, Tyler suffers a minor injury but will miss a few series. Glad, I have this HB depth as McKnight will be the man this quarter.

Sanchez throws another pick late in the half deep in their territory. That was a bad throw to an open man.

At the end of the half, a great punt return by McKnight gets us to the 39. A quick pass to Patterson gets us to the 17 and David hits the FG before the half ends. 20-14. We get the ball back to start the 2nd half.

Tyler is recovered from his injury and will be our #1 back.

Sanchez to Turner for a 15 yard TD to end a drive in which we ran it 7 times and threw it 4. 27-14.

Their HB Raymond Walters (a true freshman game generated) just broke another kickoff return for a TD! He is fast and breaks some tackles. 27-21

We put together a 11 play 61 yard drive that ends with a 9 yard TD pass to Vidal. A 2 point conversion to Vidal makes it 35-21.

We force a 3 and out. Great defense.

Tyler fumbles, but Turner recovers it.

We get stopped on their 16. David makes the 33 yard FG to make it 38-21.

We force a 3 and out. 1st play of our next drive, Sanchez finds Vidal for 26 yards. Next play he hits Turner in stride for a 44 yard gain. Next play is a 3 yard TD run by Tyler. 45-21.

McCurtis intercepts Olson for the 2nd time today on his 1st pass as he tries to go deep. We go 3 and out, but a great punt pins them on the 5. Next play, we sack Olsen for a safety. 47-21.

UCLA with a good drive as the game is ending that ends with a TD pass to their TE. 47-28.

UCLA recovers the onside kick! We force them to go 4 and out.

Game over. 47-28 win.

Key stats:

Sanchez: 25 of 36 for 385 yards with 2 TD's 2 INT's. Sacked 6 times.

Tyler: 25 carries for 93 yards and a TD.

McKnight: 8 carries for 40 yards and a TD.

Gable: 5 carries for 42 yards and a TD.

Turner: 9 catches for 160 yards and a TD.

Vidal: 9 catches for 135 yards and a TD.

Kaluka Maiava: 8 tackles, 4 for a loss.

McCurtis: 2 interceptions.

Ben Olson: 18 of 31 for 224 yards with 1 TD 2 INT's.

Kahlil Bell: 20 carries for 33 yards.

Maurice Townsend: 8 catches for 107 yards (true freshman)

Reggie Carter had both interceptions for the Bruins.

WOOT!! We got the #1 recruit we were going after. David McKenzie is the #2 QB in the nation, number 6 overall. He is a 5 star player from Santa Monica, CA. He is 6'3 235 pounds. He has very good arm strength and equally good accuracy. He isn't fast, but he can move in the pocket a bit. He chose us over Cal and ND.

We also got Daniel Harris from Santa Cruz, CA to sign with us. He is a 4 star G who is 6'3 306. He was one of the top 5 guards in the nation and is 126th overall. He chose us over Cal and UCLA. He is very strong and has particularly good technique as a run blocker.

We did lose out on 2 recruits I wanted though as the top athlete in CA chose Cal over USC and Florida. He is from Poway, CA. He is 5'11 180 and runs a 4.36. Robert Hamilton, our safeties will be looking for you across the middle.

We also lost out on Brandon Blanchard who was the top OLB in the nation. He is from Oakland, CA. He is 6'4 235 and a terrific all around linebacker. He chose FSU over USC and UCLA.

A few other guys who have given us soft verbals: Patrick Morris, a 5 star HB from Santa Rosa, CA. Charles Williams, a 4 star T from San Gabriel, CA. Josh Wade, a 5 star DE from Kingsbury, NV. The best G in the nation who we've been recruiting has given a soft verbal to OU. Hopefully, I can change his mind soon..

In other news:

Hawaii bet Michigan State, 24-17. With a 12-0 record, the polls keep them #2 in both.

We are 4th in both polls and that costs us in the BCS as we are 3rd.

Unless Nebraska beats Texas in the Conference Championship Game, it looks like we will not be playing for the national championship...

Texas beats Nebraska 28-0! They are playing Hawaii for the National Championship. I predict a blowout.

Davone Bass of Hawaii wins the Heisman with 104 catches for 1667 yards with 15 TD's.

Graunke of Hawaii came in 2nd, Stafon came in 3rd despite missing a few games. Ganz of Nebraska came in 4th and Stover of Alabama came in 5th.

Ohio State is the best team we've faced all year. They match up very well with us. They have speed on the outside, an excellent HB, a good QB, and an excellent defense.

On our 2nd drive of the game, Vidal catches a quick curl, breaks a tackle of the corner back and takes it 34 yards for a TD. 7-0. That was a 4 play 50 yard drive. The short field was set up by a good Stafon punt return (I decided to break out all of the stops for this game.)

A defensive oriented 1st quarter ends at 7-0. We have the ball after they just missed a 37 yard FG.

They force a 3 and out. A good punt return starts them at their 40. A ice drive which featured a 23 yard and 14 yard pass ends with a 3 yard TD run by Wells who is showing that someone can run against our vaunted defense. 7-7.

After forcing us to punt from our 30, they do it again as Wells runs all over us and their WR has 3 catches for 20, 9, and 14 yards on the drive. Wells finishes it with a 1 yard TD run. 14-7.

Stafon finally ges more than a yard, as he breaks a tackle, hits a seam and runs it 80 yards for a TD!!! 14-14.

Whoa Nelly! On a PA pass, their QB hits the WR in stride for a 80 yard TD! 21-14.

Roland Johnson has his first catch of the year for us and gets injured on the play. At least, he caught it across the middle and got us a 1st.

I lowered the FG Accuracy for human only down to 5, and I just missed a 34 yarder wide right.

Next play Terrell Thomas picks it off and returns it 39 yards for a TD! 21-21.

Ohio State gets it with 2:13 to go and puts together a brilliant 2 minute drive that ends with a 15 yard TD pass. 28-21.

I come out with 20 seconds left in a 4 WR set and Sanchez makes a bad throw that is picked off by their safety. He returns it to our 35.

They move it to the 17 before time is almost out. A 34 yard FG makes it 31-21, we are down.

We stop them at midfield and they try a fake punt pass that we knock down!

We try one of our first options of the year and Sanchez fumbles it! Their CB picks it up and runs it 62 yards for a TD! 38-21.

A few big passes quickly gets us down the field! We end with a 32 yard TD pass to Vidal! 38-28.

They put together a balanced drive with 6 runs and 5 passes that ends with a TD pass. 45-28.

Vidal catches a screen pass has perfect blocking and runs it 22 yards for a TD! 45-35. Sanchez set a school record for passing yards in a season with that play, breaking Palmer's record of 3962 yards in a season.

We can't stop their offense which is clicking on all cylinders now. They convert a 3rd and 17 with a 30 yard pass to #80 who is killing us. They end the drive with another TD pass to #80. 52-35.

Sanchez has a deep pass intercepted by their safety.

Wow. I've never seen the CPU offense work me like this. A few good runs, a few good passes, and it ends with a Wells TD run. 59-35.

Sanchez has lost his composure and he throws another pick to their other safety.

Their QB throws another TD pass, this time to the TE. 66-35.

I hope this blowout doesn't lose us any of our soft verbals.

Under pressure, Sanchez throws another pick. 1:40 left and we have been humiliated. I won't forget this Ohio State.. we'll have revenge.

Even more humiliating.. Ohio State puts in their backups.

Cushing forces a fumble which he recovers, but we only have 18 seconds left.

3 quick passes ends with a TD pass to Stafon. 66-42, but only 3 seconds left.

We recover an onside kick, but it didn't go 10 yards. I really like the new onside kicking meter.

Game over as they take a knee.

66-42 loss. Wow.

Key Stats:

Sanchez: 24 of 46 for 319 yards with 4 TD's 4 INT's.

Stafon: 24 carries for 141 yards and a TD.

Vidal 5 catches for 82 yards.

Turner 4 catches for 63 yards.

0 sacks for our defense.

Antonio Henton: 29 of 41 for 478 yards with 5 TD's 1 INT!

Chris Wells: 28 carries for 138 yards and 3 TD's.

Brian Robiskie, aka #80: 11 catches for 257 yards and 3 TD's!

Results from other big bowl games:

Florida beat Louisville 38-31 in the Sugar Bowl.

Iowa beat Oklahoma 42-38 in the Fiesta Bowl.

VT beat Pitt 37-35 in the Orange Bowl.

Colt McCoy struggled with 2 picks, but he had a great game running the ball and Texas racked up 360 yards on the ground! Hawaii's QB Graunke completed 17 of 33 for 275 yards and 3 TD's. It was closer than I expected, but Texas won 38-25.

Sanchez's new single season team record is 4020 yards passing.

Somewhat shockingly, he decides to return for his Senior Season!

I was looking forward to breaking in a new QB, but I guess I can't sit Sanchez now

Not surprisingly, Taylor Mays, Stafon, Will Harris, and Vidal all declare for the draft early.

Marc Tyler decides to transfer to Nevada to get more playing time.

Malcolm Smith, an OLB, transfers to Stanford. That one hurts.

Graduating players: TE Jimmy Miller, DE Kyle Moore, DT Lawrence Miles, DE Gerald Washington, C Jeff Byers, CB McCurtis, CB Thomas, S Josh Pinkard (we are going to be young at S), K David Buehler, OLB Cushing (I was counting on Malcolm replacing him), OLB Clay Matthews, P Greg Woidneck, G Chilo Rachal, OLB Kaluka Maiava, WR Patrick Turner (Jamere Holland is going to have a chance to shine with his speed and Sanchez throwing to him.)

No one transfers to USC.

A great 1st week of recruiting as the loss didn't scare off key recruits! We signed this week:

HB Patrick Morris - 5 star player ranked 8th overall. He is 5'11 202. From Santa Rosa, CA. He chose us over Cal and UCLA. He doesn't have great catching ability but has excellent accelertion and agility as well as very good speed.

DE Josh Wade - 5 star player ranked 29th overall. He is 6'6 261. He isfrom Nevada. He chose us over OU and LSU. He is a very fast linemen with good strength and technique.

Athlete Brian Lambert - 4 star athlete from Vidor, TX. He is ranked 271 overall. He is 6'1 186. He chose us over OU and Texas. He has top flight speed and good man coverage ability. He'll play either corner or safety for us, although I'm tempted to see if I could get him to add weight and play linebacker.

DT Harvey Mikulec - A 4 star DT from Modesto, CA. He is 6'0 256. He chose us over Cal and UCLA. He is a pure speed guy at his position. He has good technique. He needs to get stronger at the point of the attack. I promised not to redshirt him.

T Charles Williams - a 4 star T from San Gabriel, CA. He is a JUCO ranked 182 overall. He is from San Gabriel, CA. He chose us over UCLA and Tenn. He is very strong and is a terrific run blocker. Needs some work on his pass blocking technique.

FS John Adkins - A 3 star FS from Alderwood Manor, WA. He is 6'2 185. He is ranked 430th overall. He chose us over WSU and Oregon. Excellent speed and physical tools, but he needs to work on his coverage ability.

FS Greg Archie - a 3 star FS from Clinton, UT. He is 6'1 195. He chose us over Boise and ASU. Better speed and coverage ability than John. He doesn't have as good of hands though. Still, he is more likely to get the PT.

K Ashton Wheeler - a 1 star kicker (there were very few kickers rated higher than 1 star this year) he is ranked 2516 overall. He is 6'0 215 pounds. He is from Sacramento, CA. He chose us over Nevada ad BYU. He has average leg strength and poor accuracy. I'll be looking for his replacement next year most likely.

We lost out on a very good WR from Arizona who chose to go to Arizona.

We also lost a good guard from Texas who went to OU.

The 2nd week doesn't go as well, as we are approaching most guys fresh. However, we get our 2nd or 3rd option at HB.

Martin Rolle will fill the role of a big back. He is a 4 star player from Vista, CA. He chose us over Stanford and Washington. He has good speed for his size (6'1 214) but lacks agility. He has good strength and is a decent receiving option.

In the 4th week, we get an OLB which we desperately needed. Michael Carter is a 3 star OLB ranked 456th. He is a speedy 4.5 guy who is a solid coverage player. He is 6'2 217 and will need to add some weight. He is from Douglas, AZ. He chose us over ASU and Texas.

In the final week, we get a few more guys to flesh out the roster:

WR Michael Williams - 3 stars, 628 overall, 6'0 186. From Los Anglees, CA. Chose us over SJSU and FSU. Doesn't excel in anything. Best attribute is good speed.

OLB Darius Hill - 3 stars. 681 overall. 6'0 236. He is from Pasadena Texas. Chose us over LSU and Texas A&M. Big hitter but slowish.

FS George Robinson - 3 stars. 668 overall. 6'1 200. From Laguna Hills, Ca. Chose us over UCLA and ASU. Excellent speed, needs to work on his coverage abilities.

OLB Lance Moss - 3 stars. 684 overall. 6'3 245. From Gatesville, TX. Chose us over Houston and LSU. He has amazing speed for his size. He is a poor coverage guy and isn't a great tackler. He does have excellent physical ability, including surprising agility and acceleration. I might consider converting him to a FB..

I need to remember that I promised Archie and Mikulec that I wouldn't redshirt them this year.

Our class is ranked 2nd overall. We have 5 5 stars, 10 4 stars, 8 3 stars, and 1 1 star.

Ohio State was 1st with 7 5 star players, 6 4 star players, 8 3 star players, and 1 2 star player.

Michigan was 3rd, Texas was 4th, and Florida was 5th.

During the spring training sessions, we move Tony Stewart to FS as he looks better there than any of the natural FS we recruited.

During spring training, we discover that Moss could be a very passable QB as he has a terrific arm. However, our stud freshman looks amazing. So, i decide to go ahead and use Moss's speed, size, and agility at FB where he'll redshirt a year and then hopefully be a valuable asset.

Despite the amazing spring the true freshman QB is having, Sanchez is having a better one. He's improved in almost every way in the offspring and is now one of the truly elite QB's in the nation.

Derrick Huston, last year's prized QB recruit also has shown tremendous growth and will push Corp for the #2 job.

McKnight has shown a lot of growth, but Gable will be our starting HB.

Holland needs to improve his ability to catch in traffic, but he improved every other part of his game. He's also gotten faster and is now one of the fastest players in the game. Furthermore, he is one the best at accelerating and he has great agility. He is ready to try to put up a Heisman type year.

Ausberry is slow, but he will be a solid #2 receiver with great hands.

Travon Patterson and Roland Johnson both showed mild improvement and will battle for the 3rd slot.

Our OL is going to be better than last year. The right side in particular looks like we are set up for a monster year.

Everson Griffen took a huge step forward. He is set for a great year as a redshirt sophomore.

Redshirt Freshman Blake Holland has improved and will hold off any of the true freshman at the other end spot.

Luther Brown has switched from MLB to OLB and will be good there. However, there is no doubt this is my weakest LB corp in a few years. However, that is partially due to their greatness the past two years. Galippo has shown tremendous progress and he is set to have another award winning season.

Our CB's are young and inexperienced. Their speed should make up for this some, but they are the most inexperienced group we've had yet.

Marshall Jones really improved and will be the leader of our secondary at SS.

After the spring practice, we are #3 in the preseason polls.

Our kicker looks like one of the worst kickers I've ever seen. Looking around the HS's, there are no stud K's available this year, but I need to try to get the best one that is available. He will be an upgrade to this kid that has a noodle for a leg with no accuracy either.

The Depth Chart:

QB: Sanchez (98), Corp (87), Huston (85)
HB: Gable (94), McKnight (92), Edwards (85)
FB: Coleman (91), Atkinson (81), Clark (78)

C: Kristofer O'Dowd (91), Rudy Russell (67)
RG: Zach Heberer (90), Daniel Harris (77 as a true freshman)
RT: Thomas Herring (97), Butch Lewis (85)

LE: Everson Griffen (89), Reardon (86)
RE: Holland (82), Damien Swain (79)

Week 1: Bye
Week 2: at Colorado State (ok that should be a good warmup)
Week 3: Hosting Ohio State (pay back!)
Week 4: Arizona
Week 5: Washington State
Week 6: At Washington
Week 7: Stanford
Week 8: At #12 ND
Week 9: Bye
Week 10: at Oregon
Week 11: Oregon State
Week 12: at #20 Cal
Week 13: at #22 Arizona State
Week 14: #15 UCLA

I'll start this season later this week.

Here is a look at the Pre-Season top 5:

All-American. Obviously, I'm still getting a challenge from good teams. I still can't believe how quickly that bowl game went downhill.

I'm having fun with the game and I enjoy writing it up. It helps organize my thoughts for recruiting as well.

Not a very good first 2 weeks of recruiting, but it's time for us to make some noise on the field. Sanchez should be ready for a huge year with elite speed at WR in Holland, a great hands guy in Ausberry, and a terrific 3, 4, and 5 WR. Colorado State is 0-1 and they have a terrible defense and a poor offense. This should be a blowout and the only question is if Sanchez can throw 4 or 5 TD's before it becomes time to bring in the 2nd team...

After a defensive stop, we get the ball and Holland has a nice punt return but picks up a minor injury.

On our 3rd play, a 3rd and 13, Gable motions out of the backfield, beats his man and is hit in stride as they went with a blitz. He runs over a safety and takes it the distance for a 52 yard TD! 7-0.

Our next drive, we cover 70 yards in 4 plays ending with a 6 yard TD run by Gable. 14-0. The big play was a 42 yard pass to Ausberry.

A nice drive in which they run it a few times well against us leads to a short TD run. 14-7.

Sanchez is still perfect going into the 2nd quarter, as he hits McCoy for a 5 yard TD. 20-7 as we miss the XP.

Their running game is moving it against our defense, but we eventually stop them at the 16. 33 yard FG makes it 20-10.

On his 4th play of the game, McKnight suffers a severe ankle injury and he will miss most of the regular season. This means redshirt freshman Michael Edwards will get a chance to get some PT.

Wheeler misses a FG at the end of the half from 39 yards out as he pulls it wide left. 20-10 at the half as it is closer than expected. Holland has dropped 2 deep balls.

1st play of the 2nd half, we motion Gable out of the backfield, he runs a post route, Sanchez hits him in stride. 70 yard TD! 27-10.

We get our first interception of the game which gives us a short field. We make quick use of that ending with a 1 yard Gable TD run. 34-10. Our punter is hurt on the kickoff That means our crappy FG kicker will handle all kicking duties the rest of the game

We force a quick punt and a good return gets us to midfield. Gable with a 41 yard TD run 3 plays later. He juked one man and ran over another. 41-10 late in the 3rd.

Late in the 3rd, we lose our secondary leader as Marshall Jones breaks a bone in his arm He'll be out for 4-6 weeks.

They put together a good drive that ends in a 12 yard TD pass to their HB. 41-17.

Edwards with a 2 yard TD run on our next drive to make it 48-17.

We force a fumble on the kickoff and recover it. Time for the 2nd team offense to take the field.

Edwards fumbles on his 2nd carry of this drive and they recover and their linebacker takes it the distance for a TD. 48-24.

Game over. 48-24 win as we take a knee on their 2 to run out time.

Gable with a spectacular day: 20 carries for 137 yards and 3 TD's, 5 catches for 140 yards and 2 TD's, 2 kickoff returns for 51 yards. We are going to showcase the Senior along with Sanchez and try to get one of them the Heisman.

Other key stats:

Sanchez: 16 of 22 for 302 yards with 3 TD's 0 INT's.

Edwards: 12 carries for 6 yards and a TD.

Hawthorne (the other freshman redshirt) 3 carries for 9 yards.

Ausberry 3 catches for 69 yards.

McCoy: 3 catches for 20 yards and a TD.

Holland: 2 catches for 37 yards.

Galippo: 11 tackles, 3 for a loss.

Blake Holland: 9 tackles, 3 for a loss, 2 sacks. The redshirt freshman DE came up big today.

Jordan Maiava had our only pick.

Grant Stucker: 13 of 22 for 135 yards with 1 TD 1 INT.

Alex Square: 27 carries for 73 yards and a TD.

Square led them with 5 catches for 35 yards as well.

Unfortunately, we are early in recruiting and will only have a few prize recruits visiting our big game against Ohio State today. We are looking for revenge from last year, even though they have lost quite a few starters. They are #2 in the polls while we are #3. Their defense remains elite while their offense is very good. This should be another tough game. It's the rare rainy day in Los Angeles and that will surely cause problems for both teams in holding onto the ball.

It's a defensive 1st quarter in which we pick off a pass and they block a punt. However, they score first with a strong rushing attack that ends in a TD run from 7 yards out. 7-0.

Holland fumbles after catching a deep pass and they recover. They put together a 44 yard drive that ends in a 42 yard FG. They are mostly moving it on the ground. 10-0.

Early in the 2nd, 2 good passes to Holland and Ausberry get us inside their 30, but we are stopped at their 24. Our kicker barely has the distance to hit the 41 yarder. 10-3.

At the end of the half, Sanchez throws another pick and Holland fails to tackle the cornerback who returns it 81 yards for a TD to make it 17-3 as time is expiring

A weird glitch causes me to have to end this game. I'll replay it another day (probably tomorrow) The glitch: My LT is missing from the game. Every play, we are lining up without a LT and it won't let me hike it, leading to multiple delay of penalties. I managed to get the clock to run to the half, but it's that way in the 2nd half as well. First time I've seen anything like this.

This time it is sunny in Los Angeles. We get the ball first. They force a 3 and out. We force a 4th and 1... they run it for a 1st. They get another 1st before we stop them on the 20.. their kicker nails a 37 yard FG to make it 3-0.

Sanchez leads a great drive ending in a 18 yard TD pass to Roland Johnson! 7-3. 11 plays, 66 yards on 5 runs and 6 passes.

End of 1: Up 7-3 and we are about to force a punt.

We force a punt, but they force a 3 and out. Our punter shanks it! Their next drive is a 5 play 61 yard drive that ends with a 20 yard TD pass. 10-7.

We exchange drives including a pick by our safety of a deep pass.

Gable makes some key plays including some hard yards on a 3rd and 3 and a 3rd and 2, as well as running it in from the 2 on 3rd and goal. 14-10.

Archie, the freshman picks off a deep pass at the end of the half, but he fumbles it trying to juke a guy! Ohio State recovers.

They try another deep pass and Overstreet, another freshman picks it off! 40 seconds to try to get into FG range.

A long pass to Gable gets us to their 26. A 19 yard pass to Holland has us on the 7 with 6 seconds left and a timeout left....

Sanchez scrambles for the TD.... he is stopped at the 1 and time runs out before we can call the TO!

Halftime: 14-10, we lead.

We force a 3 and out on their first drive of the 2nd half.

A defensive 3rd quarter throughout. Late in the 3rd, they went for it on 4th and 2 on our 25 and we stopped them!

As the 3rd expires, Ohio State finishes a drive with a 7 yard TD run. 17-14, we are down.

Our drive, we pound it 5 times in a row, before Sanchez hits McCoy in stride on a PA pass for a 37 yard TD!! 21-17.

We get a stop and then Sanchez starts making some throws again including a 22 yarder to Patterson and a 19 yarder to Holland. Edwards bulldozes for a 1 yard TD run! 28-17.

We force a 3 and out thanks to a sack. We are finally able to not worry about the run and it is helping. 3 plays later, a 37 yard TD pass to Holland makes it 35-17! Revenge is sweet!

We force another 3 and out.

Sanchez throws a pick while attempting to go deep to Holland again. 4 minutes to go, time to go a bit more conservative I guess.

They fail to complete 4th and goal from the 2 as the QB overthrows his receiver. Gable with some nifty runs to help run out the clock.

35-17 win! Sanchez had a very solid day. Gable was excellent. The defense was excellent.

Key Stats:

Sanchez: 17 of 27 for 298 yards with 3 TD's 1 INT. 6 sacks.

Gable: 30 carries for 146 yards and a TD.

Edwards: 4 carries for 6 yards and a TD.

Holland: 6 catches for 107 yards and a TD.

Gable: 4 catches for 58 yards.

Galippo: 14 tackles, 4 for a loss.

Tyrone Overstreet (true freshman) 6 tackles, 2 passes defended, 1 interception.

Rob Schoenhoft: 20 of 35 for 200 yards 1 TD 3 INT's. 3 sacks.

Brandon Saine: 16 carries for 77 yards and a TD.

Taurian Wallace: 9 catches for 110 yards.

Robert Rose: 9 tackles, 3 for a loss, 2 sacks.

After a Bioshock induced delay, time to get back to this, especially as I'm fired up with the start of the real season. This week we host Arizona who is 2-0 but doesn't have nearly the talent that we do. We have a few recruits visiting and I plan on putting on a show. Anything less than a 35 point win margin will be disappointing against this defense.

Arizona with a nice balanced drive, but we stop them at the 5. They kick the short FG to make it 3-0. Their offense looks like it could give us some trouble.

Our first drive ends in a punt and Arizona drives down the field ending in a 12 yard TD pass! 10-0! That is the end of the 1st.

Patterson fumbles it while trying to juke a corner and they recover. A disastrous start to this game.. ahh it is reversed by the booth!

A few minutes later, Sanchez fumbles when he is sacked. They recover I can't believe we are playing this poorly against what is rated a poor defense.

They take advantage of a short field and make it 13-0 with 1:13 to go in the half... We drive inside the 30, but Sanchez fumbles it again with 30 seconds to go on their 25

After a great punt return by Holland, we get inside the 10 on our next play. With 2 seconds left, we settle for a FG. 13-3 at the half. Not the game I was expecting.

We start with it in the 2nd half. A first drive is a 10 play 72 yard drive ending in a 28 yard TD pass to Ausberry! 13-10.

We force a 3 and out as our defense is finally responding.

Gable finishes a balanced drive with a 12 yard TD run on a toss. 17-13.

Arizona responds with a drive in which their QB goes 5 of 5 and their HB is making plays including a 8 yard TD run. 20-17 as the 3rd ends.

6 plays and the drive ends with a 49 yard TD pass to Patterson! 24-20.

We stop them on 4th and 2 on our 7 with a 1 yard gain.

A 93 yard 12 play drive ends with a 9 yard TD run by Gable. 31-20.

Overstreet picks off an out and takes it 21 yards for a TD! 38-20.

Maiava picks off a pass when their QB was under tremendous pressure. That will be all she wrote.

38-20 win. Not the blowout I was hoping for, but I'll take the win against a team that clearly seems better than their letter ratings by my scouts.

Key Stats:

Sanchez: 21 of 35 for 380 yards 2 TD's 0 INT's, 2 fumbles, 3 sacks.

Gable: 27 carries for 127 yards with 2 TD's.

Holland: 7 catches for 139 yards.

Ausberry: 3 catches for 78 yards and a TD.

Galippo: 12 tackles, 3 for a loss.

Tyler Lyon: 26 of 43 for 269 yards with 1 TD 2 INT's.

Xavier Smith: 19 carries for 74 yards and a TD.

Andre Dennis, true freshman WR, 9 catches for 92 yards.

Jeff Taylor, true freshman MLB, 12 tackles, 3 for a loss, 1 sack.

Today, we play a 0-3 Washington State team that has a good offense, but the worst defense we've ever faced. We should crush them as a result. We have two top recruits visiting. The announcers are saying this are 2 of the worst corners that Sanchez will ever face!

Everson Griffen is dominating their RT early and he has 2 sacks on their first series to force a 3 and out! Their punter hits a terrible punt that barely goes 25 yards and he didn't shank it!

Some pressure on Sanchez leads to him only being 3 of 6 on the first drive, but he converted every 3rd down. Gable had 4 carries including a 1 yard TD. 7-0.

Around midfield, they go for it on 4th and 4 with a fake punt and we stop them a yard short on the run.

A 6 play 52 yard drive ends with a 5 yard TD pass to Roland Johnson. 14-0. The key play was a 32 yard pass to Ausberry.

We stop them short of midfield. Another very short punt. Their punter might be worse than our FG kicker.

Gable hurts his shoulder early in the 2nd and that will force Edwards to play more. Gable surprises me by coming back very quickly.

Gable runs it well on our next drive and he ends the drive with a 3 yard TD run. A key play was a 25 yard pass to Patterson. 21-0.

Our next drive, Sanchez is a perfect 3 of 3 and he runs it in himself from the 3. 28-0.

On 3rd and goal from the 8, everyone is covered but Sanchez with a nifty juke on a DL makes a way for himself to go untouched into the endzone. 35-0.

Sanchez throws a pick in the endzone at the end of the half. 35-0 at the half. We get the ball back to start the 2nd half.

Sanchez throws a 2nd pick that I'm not sure how it happened as my TE should have blocked the safety out...

Newton with a pick in the endzone to help us keep the shoutout going!

Galippo with a pick on their next drive to give us a short field.

The short field results in a 4 play 32 yard drive including a 15 yard TD pass to Holland. 42-0.

End of 3: Up 42-0.

Newton with a pick on a desperation pass on 3rd and 20. We'll put in our 2nd team offense now.

Corp throws a bad pass on 3rd and 8 in their redzone that is picked off.

Another pick by their QB gets us the ball back at midfield. Edwards fumbles and they get it on their own 17.

Their QB with 2 strong runs to gain 40 yards between them.

Bah, Washington State scores a TD with 6 seconds left on a 18 yard TD pass. 45-7.

Game over. 45-7 win.

Sanchez: 13 of 23 for 214 yards with 2 TD's 2 INT's.

Corp: 3 of 8 for 45 yards with an INT.

Not the big game I was hoping for.

Gable: 25 carries for 104 yards and 2 TD's.

Sanchez: 3 carries for 29 yards and 2 TD's.

Edwards: 16 carries for 44 yards.

Holland: 5 catches for 68 yards and a TD.

Galippo: 10 tackles, 4 for a loss, 1 sack, 1 INT.

Kyle Newton: 8 tackles, 2 INT's.

Kevin Lopina: 17 of 34 for 182 yards with 1 TD 4 INT's.

Dwight Tardy: 18 carries for 51 yards.

Lopina: 7 carries for 60 yards.

Penn State beat Iowa 26-10 to advance to a 5-0 record. That was Iowa's first loss of the year.

UTEP beat Memphis 45-40 to advance to 5-0.

Wild game between Virginia and Maryland, Virginia won 59-56 in OT.

LSU and Georgia were both 4-0. Georgia won 31-13 to advance to 5-0 and end LSU's title hopes. Stafford had 4 TD's in the game.

Our next game is at a 2-2 Washington team that has a solid offense and defense. They should play us somewhat close.

Our defense forces a 3 and out to start the game. A holding call negates a great Holland punt return.

Our first play is a PA pass in which we completely fool their safeties and the corner slips and falls. Ausberry is wide open for a 68 yard TD pass! 7-0.

We stop them at the 37 where their kicker nails a 54 yard FG! 7-3.

Gable with a great kickoff return to get us to the 50. A 9 play 50 yard drive ends with a 3 yard TD scramble by Sanchez. 14-3.

Gable fumbles on his first carry of our next drive. They recover and are on our 21.

We stop them on 3 plays and they miss the 38 yard FG!

3 plays to go 80 yards! First a 26 yard pass to Gable. Then an incomplete pass, then a 54 yard run by Gable! 20-3 as our kicker shanks the XP.

Our next drive ends with a 45 yard FG! He barely made it, but he actually made a nice kick. 23-3.

Sanchez with a pick late in the half as he tried to go deep ot Ausberry but the safety came over the top.

Our safety, Jones with a pick to get it right back for us!

Sanchez hits Holland in stride after he has a few steps on the corner.. he never looks back. 64 yard TD pass to Holland! 30-3.

Washington with a 41 yard FG as time is expiring to make it 30-6 at the half.

A great drive ends when Sanchez throws a pick on their 2. They return it to the 22.

Their kicker makes a 51 yarder to make it 30-9.

Locker with a TD pass early in the 4th to make it 30-16.

Midway through the 4th Gable is hurt and will leave the game.

Sanchez throws another pick, this time on 3rd and 12 on their 24.

3 plays later Overstreet gets us the ball back with an interception.

Wheeler misses a 42 yard FG with 1:54 to go.

Our defense stops them from scoring again and we win 30-16.

5 play 72 yard drive to start the game. Gable with 4 straight runs for 8 to 9 yards a piece, then a PA pass to Ausberry for a 29 yard TD. 7-0.

Sanchez with a poor throw on our next drive that is picked off by their SS. That gives them the ball on our 25.

Our defense doesn't let them get a yard and they miss the FG wide left.

Wheeler hooks a 33 yard FG attempt wide left.

After a 3 and out, Holland has a 37 yard punt return to get inside the 15!

A 14 yard TD pass to the TE, McCoy, makess it 14-0.

We force a 3 and out and then Holland returns it 58 yards for a TD!! 21-0 at the end of 1.

Wow. Their HB breaks two tackles and has a 69 yard TD run against. 21-7.

Sanchez with another pick gives them a short field. They pound the ball inside the 10 and then a TD pass to their TE. 21-14.

Up 21-14 at the half. Lackluster 2nd quarter after an excellent 1st quarter.

Watson with a pick of a deep pass and he returns it 64 yards for a TD! 28-14.

Our next drive is a 8 play 61 yard drive which ends when we catch them blitzing and throw a perfectly blocked screen that turns into a 18 yard TD pass. 35-14.

Marshall Jones picks off a deep pass.

Our first play is a PA pass aimed at Holland that is underthrown and picked off by their CB in the endzone.

We stop them on a 4th and 1 with strong run defense. That gets us the ball back on their 49.

Sanchez throws another pick. This time during the supersim portion. He's making a lot of mistakes today.

Our next drive (also during supersim) Gable breaks off a 48 yard TD run. 42-14.

With 5 minutes to go, we bring in the subs.

Galippo picks a pass off and rerutns it 42 yards for a TD. 49-14.

This week we play at ND in what should be a very good game. ND is 6-0 and #5 in the polls. We are 6-0 and #3 in the polls. Clausen is having an incredible year as he has matured into a top flight QB. He has completed 134 of 203 passes for 1861 yards with 25 TD's 3 INT's. ND is putting up more points than anyone in the nation at 51.6 ppg. Their total offense is 13th. Their pass offense is 11th and their run offense is 23rd. Our total offense is 19th. Our ppg is 6th. Our rush offense is 38th. Our pass offense is 18th.

Defensively, ND is 6th overall, 1st against the run, and 23rd against the pass. Their turnover margin is #1 in the nation at plus 13. Defensively, we are 32nd overall, 34th against the run and pass. We are 81st in turnover margin at -2. We are similar in talent levels and they have the home field advantage. It should be a great game.

Clausen engineers a good drive, but their FB drops it on 3rd and 2. They settle for a 29 yard FG. Clausen was 3 of 4 on that drive for 52 yards.

2nd play of the drive, they go with a heavy blitz and Sanchez throws it to Holland on an out. He makes his man miss and beats the safety down the sideline with his elite speed. 7-3. 74 yard TD.

Clausen was moving it well and is over 100 yards already in the 1st, but Marshall Jones picks off a pass deep that would have been a TD if he didn't make that play.

Gable with some nice runs, but Sanchez really controlled this drive. 4 of 4 including a 8 yard TD pass to the FB Coleman for a TD. 14-3. We covered 80 yards in 10 plays.

We force a 3 and out as we stop the run on 3rd and 2.

Their next drive, the draw fools us and their HB runs over my safety! He then takes it 47 yards for a TD. 14-10.

Most of the quarter, both defenses make stops outside of FG range, but at the end of the half, Clausen goes 5 of 7 including a pass to set them up on the 1. Their HB runs it in. 17-14 with under a minute to go...

Sanchez directs a great 2 minute drill in which we get to the 9 with 3 seconds left. Wheeler connects on a 26 yard FG. 17-17 at the half.

The halftime stats of both QB's are impressive:

Sanchez: 14 of 17 for 201 yards with 2 TD's 0 INTs. He picked a good game to have his best game of his career.

Clausen: 17 of 26 for 222 yards with 0 TD 1 INT.

We get the ball to start the 2nd half. They stop us on 3rd and 2 with good a tackle by the DE.

They go for it on 4th and 2 on our 33, but we stuff the back. First play they blitz and a WR screen play works for 22 yards by Ausberry. But they stop us the next 3 plays and we punt. We force a 3 and out as both defenses are doing surprisingly well this quarter.

Holland with a big punt return to get it to their 24! We can't move it much, but Wheeler hits the 39 yard FG. 20-17. He is 4 of 10 on the year now.. I hope I get this kicker that I'm recruiting to replace him.

Their HB fumbles after getting drilled by my safety a seconda after he caught the pass.. Watson picks it up and runs it inside their 10! They stop us inside the 5. Wheeler hits the short FG. 23-17.

Everson Griffen with a big sack on 3rd and 8 to end the 3rd quarter. Still 23-17 in a somewhat surprising defensive battle. They punt it out of bounds away from Holland who has been killing them.

Sanchez throws a pick to their DE on a screen play They take advantage of the short field to get into FG range, but we stop them there. 35 yard FG makes it 23-20.

They stop us at midfield and we punt. 4 minutes left...

Clausen converts a 3rd and 7 with a 9 yard pass. The HB with a 8 yard run to get across their 40. A 8 yard pass to get to midfield. A false start pushes them back 5. A holding call pushes them back into 1st and 25 on their own 36. Galippo with a sack! 2nd and 29 now. 15 yard pass to their HB and Watson is injured on the play.. he'll miss the rest of the game. 13 yard pass to their WR... our safety drilled him but he held on.. On 4th and 1 they try the 56 yard FG... it is at least 2 yards short. 1:18 to go. They have all 3 timeouts still.. 3 yard run by Gable on 1st down. 8 yard run by Gable on 2nd down! 1 yard loss on our next run but they just used up their 3rd T.O. We run out the clock.

23-20 win in a very interesting game. Both QB's cooled off in the 2nd half.

Sanchez: 20 of 31 for 291 yards with 2 TD's 1 INT.

Gable: 26 carries for 108 yards.

Sanchez: 3 carries for 14 yards.

Ausberry: 4 catches for 75 yards.

Holland: 3 catches for 85 yards and a TD.

Galippo: 13 tackles, 3 for a loss, 1 sack.

Ed Keyes: 10 tackles, 3 for a loss.

Holland: 3 punt returns for 39 yards.

Clausen: 32 of 50 for 364 yards with 1 INT.

James Alridge: 16 carries for 116 yards and a TD.

Robert Hughes: 15 carries for 40 yards and a TD.

Richard Jackson: 10 catches for 149 yards.

Golden Tate: 9 catches for 86 yards.

After the game, we got our first early committment:

DT Darren Coleman is a 6'4 278 pound 5 star player from Hawaii. He is freakishly strong and has good technique. A very sound tackler as well. He could play for us quite a bit next year.

We lost out on the #1 RB in the nation as he chose to stay in his home state and play for Texas. Ryan King has an excellent balance of speed and power. He's the #4 player in the nation, but he is a juco. It will be interesting to follow his brief career.

Despite the other teams not losing, we jumped to #1 in the polls after that win!

Top 10:

1. USC (38) 7-0
2. Texas (21) 7-0
3. Florida (1) 7-0
4. Florida State (1) 7-0
5. Nebraska 8-0
6. Pitt 7-0
7. Cal 7-0
8. ND 6-1
9. Iowa 6-1
10. Texas A&M 8-0

We are #1 in the BCS rankings.

We have a bye this week.

During the bye week, not much happens. Everyone who is supposed to win in the top 10 does so.

Our next game is at Oregon. They have a decent QB and good skill at the wideouts. Their pass offense is 69th, their run offense is 76th, and overall they are 85th. Defensively, they are 32nd and are 18th against the pass as they have a talented pair of safeties and good corners. With the homefield advantage on their side, we'll have to be careful not to turn it over.

Their star WR returns the opening kickoff 99 yards for a TD! 7-0.

Ausberry with a spectacular one handed catch on a fly route for a 38 yard TD pass. 7-7. They move it well on their next drive, but we stop them at the 22. The FG attempt is wide left.

A pick that wasn't Sanchez's fault. He threw a good pass to Ausberry who was drilled as it hit his hands and it bounced up into the air where the safety grabbed it for a pick.

Newton with a pick in the endzone!

Gable with a 62 yard TD run that is called back due to holding on O'Dowd.

On 4th and 10 on their 32 (too long for my kicker), Sanchez finds Patterson wide open for a 32 yard TD pass! 14-7.

Watson picks off a deep pass and returns it 34 yards for a TD! 21-7.

Their next drive, their star WR makes my guy look silly with a 23 yard TD. He also had catches of 14 and 15 yards on the drive. 21-14.

Sanchez dissects their defense with a 6 play 68 yard drive ending in a 15 yard TD pass to Ausberry. 28-14. Our next drive ends with a 44 yard FG. 31-14. After forcing a 3 and out, our next drive Sanchez finds Ausberry for a 17 yard TD pas after hitting him on passes of 18 yards and 21 yards. 38-14.

Newton with another pick. He returns it to their 20.

Sanchez gives it right back when he tries to force it into double coverage to Ausberry. Our next drive Sanchez hits Patterson for another TD just as the half is expiring. 45-14 as Sanchez has had a great first half except for the 1 bad interception.

Half time stats for Sanchez: 16 of 21 for 278 yards 5 TD's 2 INT's (only 1 was his fault.)

Our first drive of the half Sanchez goes over 300 yards for the game, but Gable finishes the drive with a 1 yard TD run. 52-14 and we'll be pulling our 1st team soon.

Doing nothing but running it, we march it down the field ending in a 28 yard TD run by Gable. 59-14 and I'll now be going to all second stringers.

They score early in the 4th to make it 59-21. We drive inside the 10 but are stopped there. A short FG makes it 62-21. Wheeler with a 23 yard FG on our next drive to make it 65-21.

Game over. 65-21 win.

Sanchez: 17 of 23 for 312 yards with 5 TD's 2 INT's.

Gable: 21 carries for 122 yards and 2 TD's.

Edwards: 17 carries for 30 yards.

Sanchez: 2 carries for 14 yards.

Ausberry: 7 catches for 121 yards and 3 TD's.

Patterson: 3 catches for 62 yards and 2 TD's.

Holland: 3 catches for 78 yards.

Kyle Newton: 8 tackles, 2 passes defended, 2 interceptions.

Griffen: 9 tackles, 3 for a loss.

Cody Kempt: 15 of 25 for 182 yards with 1 TD 3 INT's.

Charles Neal: 21 carries for 89 yards and a TD.

Kempt: 10 carries for 13 yards.

Star WR Derrick Jones: 6 catches for 86 yards and a TD. 7 kickoff returns for 251 yards and a TD.

We lost out on 3 big recruits:

CB Richmond McMillan the 80th ranked player overall chose FSU over us and UCLA. He is from Washington.

5 star CB/Ath Isaiah Rogers chose to stay in his homestate and went to Texas. We weren't even in his final 3 which included ND and Florida.

4 star CB Bobby Maxey who is from North Dakota chose ND over USC and Boise.

The top 5 remains unchanged from the past few weeks.

I'm trying a slider change to reduce interceptions a bit more. I'm going to try lowering knockdowns as I'm not convinced that it lowers interceptions on the field. I'm going with 5 for both interceptions and knockdowns for both sides.. hopefully this doesn't mess up the stats of this game too much, but I don't want to waste time testing this change and would rather play a meaningful game.

We host Oregon State and they have been struggling all year. They are 3-5 due to a bad defense. Hopefully, we can take advantage of that today.

Very interesting, they elect to kickoff. Sanchez was 3 of 3 on the first drive including a 18 yard TD pass to Ausberry. 7-0.

They put together a solid drive for 40 yards and then it stalls. A 48 yard FG makes it 7-3.

They dropped a sure interception from before on this drive! We end up with a 21 yard FG to make it 10-3.

After a few of our DB's drop sure picks, Newton finally catches one. Nice play, but not a superhiman play. So far, I'm liking the new sliders. We fail to take advantage when they sack Sanchez on 3rd and 5.

End of 1: 10-3.

Their QB throws a pick during the supersim portion of the 2nd quarter.

Sanchez to Ausberry for a TD (also during supersim.) 17 yard play to make it 17-3.

Gable takes a toss, breaks a tackle and then beats everyone down the sideline! 54 yard TD! 23-3 after Wheeler shanks the XP.

After stopping them at our 35, we get the ball back with 1:34 to go. Sanchez with a great 2 minute drive to get us to the 19 with 2 seconds left. Wheeler hits the 36 yard FG. 26-3.

Sanchez at the half: 14 of 20 for 217 yards with 2 TD's 0 INT's. No superhuman linebackers making picks.

Overstreet makes a very athletic play for an interception on a deep post.

Their starting HB goes down on their next series. He'll miss a week or two with an abdominal strain.

Gable just had an incredible 16 yard run. It was so nice and he has been having these types of runs all year that I'll show this one:

(The servers are down for EA. If I remember, I'll add this play later, it is saved on my harddrive.)

About 6 plays later Gable fumbles it after getting his bell rung right after he caught it. They recover.

After we get a stop, we put together a very good drive during the supersim portion. It ends with a 34 yard TD pass to Ausberry. 33-3.

Up 33-3, we bring in our 2nd string midway into the 4th.

Game over. 33-3 win. That was the most enjoyable game in a while because I could finally throw over the middle without it being an automatic pick (although Sanchez's one interception was a throw over the middle, but he also had several good throws over the middle that weren't picked.) I'll give these sliders a chance for the rest of the year as 2 picks isn't bad at all for the CPU (the 3rd pick was in supersim.)

Sanchez: 22 of 31 for 325 yards with 3 TD's 1 INT.

Gable: 18 carries for 143 yards and a TD.

Edwards: 9 carries for 42 yards.

Ausberry: 8 catches for 147 yards and 3 TD's.

Holland: 3 catches for 42 yards.

Galippo: 9 tackles, 2 for a loss, 1 sack.

Sean Canfield: 16 of 32 for 182 yards with 3 INT's.

Ross Mitchell (before being injured) 17 carries for 61 yards.

Strickland: 10 carries for 52 yards.

Kyle Brown: 6 catches for 85 yards.

I lost out on 4 more players this week including a DE who I thought I was going to get:

DE Josh Thompson from Wewoka, OK chose Texas over USC and ND. He is a 5 star player ranked #21 overall.

4 star DT Joe Jean from Marshall, MO chose UGA over USC and Iowa. I also thought I had him in the bag. He was ranked #28 overall.

I also missed out on 4 star DT Keith Alexander who was ranked #72 overall. He chose Ohio State over USC and FSU. He is from Lacey, WA.

Also, we lost a 4 star TE who I wasn't pursuing hard as he was a backup plan.

Now we travel to play Cal in what should be a classic game. Cal is 10-0 and is 5th in the polls. They have a very good passing attack led by K. Reed who is 205 of 331 for 2650 yards with 29 TD's and 8 INT's. They are 7th in PPG scored. Their passing offense is 6th in the nation, overall is 17th, and their rush offense is 50th. Defensively, they are 25th overall, 4th against the run, and 59th against the pass. They are plus 15 in turnover margin which is #3 in the country.

Our scoring offense is now 4th in the country. Our rush offense is 47th, our pass offense is 10th, our total offense is 22nd. Our total defense is 24th, we are 28th against the run, and 24th against the pass. Our plus 1 margin is 58th.

They knock it down on 3rd and 4 and force us to go 3 and out.

Our next drive, Gable fumbles it on the 2 while trying to hurdle a defender to get to the endzone.. they recover and advance it to the 30.

Maiava comes under the receiver on a slant and picks it off. He returns it to their 34.

Patterson gets crushed going across the middle on 3rd down, but he holds on and makes the 1st. His ribs are bruised and he'll leave the game for a bit.

End of 1: 0-0, we are inside their 15.

We miss a 31 yard FG attempt. Our next drive, we miss a 44 yard FG attempt. Cal has two big passes on their next drive which sets up a 4 yard TD run. 7-0. Sancez throws a pick at midfield. They put together a 6 play 44 yard drive including a 8 yard TD pass. 14-0. They force a 3 and out as they sack Sanchez on 3rd and 7. A big punt return sets them up at our 45.

They drive inside our 20, but Galippo saves us with a very athletic interception (but not a super jump.)

Johnson makes a key catch across the middle on 3rd down, but he fumbles it after getting smacked... they recover Cal with a TD pass 3 plays later. 20-0. 1:23 left in the half.. we need to score since they get it to start the 2nd half..

Gable returns the kickoff to the 40. We can't even get anything going.. their DLine is dominating our line.

On their first play after the punt, their HB fumbles! Galippo recovers! The booth reverses it

Halftime: Down 20-0, we have a huge comeback to stage as they get it to start the half.

Watson with a pick, but Newton is injured on the play. That gives us some life though. We go 3 and out as Sanchez is sacked on 3rd down again. They miss a 44 yard FG. We must put together a scoring drive now...

We move it to midfield with short passes, but get stopped there and punt. We need another turnover.

We get to midfield and then Gable fumbles it. He picked a bad day to have butterfingers. Barring a miracle comeback, it is going to cost us the national championship shot.

YES!!! 2 plays later, we force their HB to fumble and Galippo picks it up and runs it 59 yards for a TD! 20-7.

End of 3: Down 20-7, we are kicking off to them..

We stop them, but on 4th and 5 on their 44 we fail to complete the pass. Turnover on downs. They use the short field and quickly march it down the field for a TD ending with a 10 yard TD pass to their TE. 27-7.

Our next drive, Sanchez is hurt and we fail to convert a 4th and 6. Moore picks off a pass and returns it 82 yards for a TD! 27-14. Do I kick an onsides... no I'll try to stop them after kicking deep.

Their QB scrambles for 22 yards on 3rd and 6

Sheesh, a PA 9 yard gain out of the goaline keeps their drive going on 3rd and 2... I was selling all out on the run. We might not get the ball back.

We finally stop them around the 25, but there are only 45 seconds left. The FG makes it 30-14.

Ball game. We lose 30-14 and Sanchez might be done for the year..

Despite the loss, we got 2 huge recruits to sign with us this week:

Jimmy Lynch is the #1 CB in California and #2 in the country. He is #12 overall. He is a 5 star 6'0 172 pound CB from San Gabriel, CA. He doesn't have elite speed but he is an excellent coverage player despite that. He has great leaping ability and good hands.

Joel McCoy is a 4 star WR from Hagerstown, MD. He is ranked 26th overall and is a great leaper despite only being 5'10 185. Good speed, good hands, good agility. No real weaknesses except for lack of elite speed.

We lost 3 players including 1 that I really wanted who was HB Jason Huffman.

Jason Huffman is a 5 star HB who is ranked #11 overall. He is 6'0 210 with elite speed and agility combined with good power. He left his home state of Teas to go play for Ohio State. We and Michigan were the other 2 teams on the top of his list.

We also lost out on our top choice at TE who chose Ohio State over USC and PSU. He is from Ohio, but I thought we could steal him away.

We also lost one of the top T's in the nation who stayed in his home state and will play for Tennessee. We were 2nd on his list with Texas being 3rd.

Top 5 Now:

1. Texas 11-0
2. Cal 11-0
3. Florida 11-0
4. Florida State 9-1
5. ND 9-1
6. USC 9-1

I'm going to sim out my last few games since I'm anxious to get to next season and this one is done as far as we are concerned.

After the game, we get Raishaun Washington, a 4 star OLB from Lockwood, MT to sign with US. He chose us over Georgia and Georgia Tech. He is 6'1 209 and is a very fast linebacker. He also is a good coverage guy with decent tackling.

We lose out on our 3rd TE who chooses Auburn over USC and S. Car.

We lose out on the top athlete in the nation and #2 overall as he chooses to go FSU. He is from Russelville, AL. He is 6'5 205 and runs a 4.3 40. Nelson Andrews will be an interesting player to keep an eye on.
