March 2012:

Up one more spot to 6th in the Premiership. It's very close between the 2nd spot (Aston Villa, 52 pts) to the 9th spot (Ipswich, 45 pts) so it's still anybody's guess who will qualify for the Champions League next year. Chelsea is still far ahead though with 60 pts and 8 games remaining.

I played in 3 out of 4 games this month and I'm proud to say I got my first ever Man of the Match award in our 1-0 win over Ipswich. I felt awesome that day as I intercepted 10 passes, made 2 key tackles and even made a key pass!

Everton apparently wants to buy me, at least according to the BBC news. Considering they're in 13th place, I'm not sure why I would consider leaving .. but I guess stranger things have happened.

April 2013

So April was terrible. We drop all the way to 9th in the Premiership and we get knocked out of the FA Cup on penalties. Ugh.

My performances were decent enough I guess, mainly 6's and 7's with an 8 thrown in for good measure.

Not much else to say for a terrible month really.

End of season update

It was another average season for No. 10 this year as he appeared in 43 games and averaged 6.53. As always, his discliplinary record left a lot to be desired (8 yellows) although he didn't get any reds this year.

Reading ultimately finished 9th.

Stats of note:
Tackling: 19, Anticipation: 18, Concentration 17, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 19, Positioning: 15, Acceleration: 17, Agility: 15, Jumping: 17, Pace: 17, Stamina: 17, Strength: 17

End of season stats:
43 games (4 sub), 1 MOM, 8 yellows, 6.53 rating, 9.25 million pound valuation

Currently, on 1 August 2013, the England Defenders are:

Jonathan Woodgate (33 yrs old, Lyon, 144 CA)
Jamie Carragher (35 yrs old, Liverpool, 160 CA)
Glen Johnson (28 yrs old, Wigan, 149 CA)
Gareth Barry (32 yrs old, Napoli, 153 CA)
Michael Dawson (29 yrs old, Tottenham, 166 CA)
Rio Ferdinand (34 yrs old, Rangers, 150 CA)
Steven Taylor (27 yrs old, Man City, 157 CA)
John Terry (32 yrs old, Chelsea, 181 CA)
Leighton Baines (28 yrs old, Tottenham, 162 CA)
Ashely Cole (32 yrs old, Chelsea, 162 CA)

No. 10 is at 152 CA so he's theoretically better than Woodgate, Johnson and Ferdinand. Maybe this'll be the year he makes it.

Maybe the oldies are still there despite their low CA because that have a huge amount of experience (hattrick term).

Go No. 10 !

Start of season 2013/2014

Overview:
No. 10 is valued at 9.25 million pounds at the start of the season and no clubs have indicated they wish to purchase him at this time. He's now 24 years old and he hasn't quite tasted success yet, though he does have a League Cup winner's medal.

No. 10 is a very fine physical specimen but he's technically not strong. I wonder if that's the reason why he doesn't get great ratings. As an example, in the last interactive season I ran, some of the players there had phenomenal physical ratings but average technical attributes and they never seemed to be able to get good ratings overall.

Stats of note:
Tackling: 19, Anticipation: 18, Concentration 17, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 19, Positioning: 16, Acceleration: 18, Agility: 16, Jumping: 18, Pace: 18, Stamina: 17, Strength: 18

Mid-season review

Overview
No. 10 is starting to play quite well. He's got his highest average rating thus far at 6.74. 2 goals in the Premiership are another bright spot for the 25 year old.

A slight dip in his physical stats though, possibly because of a 3 week lay-off in November due to a twisted knee.

Stats of note:
Tackling: 19, Anticipation: 18, Concentration 17, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 19, Positioning: 16, Acceleration: 18, Agility: 16, Jumping: 17, Pace: 17, Stamina: 17, Strength: 17
Season Stats:
23 games, 2 goals, 4 yellow cards, 6.74 rating

End of season 2013/2014:

Overview:
No. 10's performances dipped in the second half of the season, to the point that he was called out by his manager for his poor performances. He still managed to play decently overall and his rating of 6.61 is his best in the Premiership thus far.

Reading came in 7th in the league and didn't win any trophies this year.

Stats of note:
Tackling: 19, Anticipation: 18, Concentration 16, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 19, Positioning: 16, Acceleration: 17, Agility: 15, Jumping: 17, Pace: 17, Stamina: 16, Strength: 17

End of season Stats:
41 games (3 as a sub), 3 goals, 1 MOM, 5 yellows, 6.61 rating

Great dynasty:

-I like the third person reviews way better than the "blog posts"
-If you do another career, perhaps it'd be interesting to create a player from a somewhat exotic location (Europe Eastern Bloc, Africa, or Asia... even USA?), and turn on some leagues from near where he's from in addition to the major ones. Then you'd get to see if the small-town kid from a non-soccer-poewr country can really make it to and in "the show". Also more chance for national team impact.

Start of Season 2014/2015

Overview:
No. 10 is now 25 years old (going on 26), possibly entering the prime of his career. Valued at 9.25 million pounds and with a wage of 71,000 pounds a week, No. 10 is regarded as being indispensable to Reading. He is the 4th most expensive player in the squad, after Leroy Lita (11.75 m), Alain Traore (11.5 m) and Mateusz Ceiluch (9.5 m).

Currently, Everton and Fulham are interested in acquiring No. 10, though no firm offer has been made yet. No. 10 is flattered by this interest, possibly indicating he might not be adverse to a move?

No. 10 is supposed to be the first choice rightback this year but that may change over the course of the season due to his versatile nature.

Stats of note:
Tackling: 19, Anticipation: 19, Composure: 15 (new), Concentration 17, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 19, Positioning: 16, Acceleration: 18, Agility: 16, Jumping: 18, Pace: 18, Stamina: 17, Strength: 18

Genie Update:
CA: 154 (very slight 2 pt increase)
PA: 186

Interestingly, it appears No. 10 is amongst the best fullbacks in the world now. At leftback, he's ranked joint-12th (tied with 4 others) and at rightback, he's ranked joint-12th as well (tied with 5 others).

10 August 2007:

No. 10 signs for Tottenham Hotspur for 15m pounds. Everton were left cursing as they failed to meet the asking price for the former England U-21 leftback as their final offer of 12.75m was well short of the mark.

No. 10 will go straight into the Spurs side as their first choice leftback as the only other options there are Martin Davies and Steve Mimms, 18 and 19 years old respectively.

Mid-Season report, 2014/2015:

Overview:
No. 10 is a regular in the Spurs first team and he's again performing at a slightly higher level than previous years. However, he has been called out by his manager for poor performances on 2 occasions. Unfair? Perhaps, but that's what you get when someone pays 15 million pounds for your services.

Stats of note:
Tackling: 19, Anticipation: 18, Concentration 17, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 19, Positioning: 16, Acceleration: 18, Agility: 16, Jumping: 18, Pace: 18, Stamina: 17, Strength: 18

Season stats thus far:
19 games, 1 goal, 2 yellows, 1 MOM, 6.74 rating

End of Season 2014/2015:

Overview:
A sign of maturity perhaps for No. 10 as he maintains his performance for the rest of the year, rather than tailing off as he normally would have. A regular in the Spurs side, he started every game he played. He's also gotten more of a hold on his discipline as he only had 4 yellow cards this year.

Still no England call-up for No. 10 though and he'll wonder what he has to do to get noticed.

A disappointing season for Spurs as they came in 10th in the Premiership. They were also knocked out early in the cups, including a shock 1-0 loss to Championship side Stoke (who got relegated at the end of the season). No. 10's old club, Reading, came in 9th.

Stats of note:
Tackling: 19, Anticipation: 18, Concentration 16, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 18, Positioning: 15, Acceleration: 17, Agility: 15, Jumping: 17, Pace: 17, Stamina: 16, Strength: 17

End of season stats:
37 games, 2 goals, 1 MOM, 4 yellows, 6.76 rating

Start of Season 2015/2016:

Overview:
No. 10 starts out the season, his 10th, injured as he bruised some ribs in a pre-season friendly game. He will be the starting rightback for Spurs this year. During the off-season, a 14.5 million pound bid by Aston Villa for his services was rejected.

Stats of note:
Tackling: 20, Anticipation: 19, Composure: 15, Concentration 17, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 19, Positioning: 16, Acceleration: 18, Agility: 16, Jumping: 18, Pace: 18, Stamina: 17, Strength: 18

Genie update:
CA: 154 (no change)
PA: 186

End of Season 2015/2016

Overview:
No. 10 made another big money move this year. During the transfer window, Everton finally signed No. 10 after many years of interest. The total transfer fee was 24 million pounds, a huge sum for a defender. Both Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland had made offers in the same vicinity as well.

Before his move, No. 10 had played in 19 games for Spurs, averaging 6.74. He then appeared in 20 more games for the Toffees and averaged 6.80.

On a bright note, No. 10 won his first 3 England caps this year and even scored his first ever international goal.

Stats of Note:
Tackling: 19, Anticipation: 18, Concentration: 17, Flair: 15, Off the ball: 19, Positioning: 16, Acceleration: 17, Agility: 16, Jumping: 17, Pace: 17, Stamina: 17, Strength: 17

Season 2016/2017

Overview:
Some craziness surrounding No. 10 this year. At the end of last season, Everton got relegated. What happens? No. 10 moves again, this time for 20 million pounds during the mid-season break as he signs for Sheffield Wednesday.

Then, No. 10 goes out for 4 months because of a torn calf muscle, essentially bringing his season to an end. He only appeared in 9 games for the Owls before the injury.

Not the best of seasons for No. 10 overall.

Season stats:
23 games (14 for Everton), 6.67 rating for the Owls
