I compiled a list of folks for this thing yesterday. I had the hardest time finding folks that are within the Classical Age. With that in mind, I am going to make this pick.
1.2 Alexander the Great - Military Leader (Classical Age)

Cool, we're going. Between Matt, olie and my brother emailing me at work today, I should be able to keep up until I get home around 5:30 MST.

Barkeep - maybe it is the safe pick, but it can't be bad to have Jesus on your side.

Oh great, I get a mid-round draft pick again. Who do I have to bribe like Barkeep does in order to have a high draft pick?

1.3 Muhammad - Religious Figure (Middle Ages)
I was debating between him and two other guys, but I think religion will be the hardest of the three categories to fill. |

nice pick Racer. i had slight hopes of him falling.
i think people might be overestimating religion though - i can think of several other time periods where there were significant religious figures...but then again i need to do my little "depth" type thing.

Thanks. I'll keep mum about the other two guys I was thinking about drafting until they've been drafted. I'm guessing both will be off the board by the time I draft again. |

Good pick Racer. I agree with Daddy, there's some good ones left, but Muhammad would have been 2nd on my religious list too.

Great picks for 1.2 and 1.3. I'm hoping the picks fly off the board in the next ten minutes so I can get my 1st round pick in before work and have a second round strategy in place.

I think Religion will be hard, but I think there are some good early and late picks there.

You don't have to, it's not stated in rules. But if you do, please post it here so I don't PM them as well. I was going to give LWFS another 10 minute so and them PM him |

I really can't argue any of the picks so far, some great choices. I may be the first head scratch choice knowing me.

Depending on how much time passes until my pick I don't think will be here but I will try to stick around.

1.6 St. Nicholas, Cultural Icon, Classical Age
Like all other icons it's the myths other people create about them that makes them iconic |

I'll admit there have been some strong choices. My initial pick is gone and my second pick surprisingly has already been chosen.

Alright guys, I'm heading out to run some errands...I'll be gone a couple of hours. Bucc is on the clock, after him is Izulde (I have a couple of picks from him if he's not around), Danny, ColtCrazy, LarryMcG, and Noop/DT...please keep it going at a quick pace if possible. If anyone needs me, you can catch me on Yahoo IM - mobilejal0430, I'm logged in on my phone all the time

My top 2 choices are still alive, but admittedly, I had ruled out people like Jesus, Shakespeare, and Muhammad because I didn't think any of them would last to #10.
St. Nick is a great iconic choice. |

Alexander the Great and my surprise pick was Saint Nicholas. I really thought St. Nicholas was going to be around for my pick.

aaaah okay. so are you in the draft then noop?
going to assume that you are which means i don't have to make my spreadsheet for it and start thinking of picks. guess i'll be the sage voice of judgement!

The pace of the draft is really dragging and in an hour I have to go to my LSAT class so I might not be able too. In fact if you really want to do it by all means I will step aside because I won't be around to post until 9 or 10 at the latest.

it's okay - you can do it noops. just submit your pick, or a list of a couple possible picks ranked to someone (even me via PM if you want) and they can be posted while you're gone.
i think if people want to go this route though they should probably post in-thread who they sent their list to -- so there's no confusion
