Seriously. "Not choking" is not the same as forgiving.

yeah, this. Seriously, "life in immediate and extreme danger" is the only possible justification for any of this. There's no line ANYWHERE that makes "well I can understand why he did it" anything but an absolutely appalling statement.

No, we don't. But you continually post that you don't see a problem with what he did, which is the scary part. And what's worse is that even after you go on your little defense of yourself, you STILL throw up a post like "Like I said you all are a very forgiving bunch."

I've been part of this community for about a decade (or however long the Sideline dated back), and honestly I've never judged how a person is in real life based on what they've posted on the board until now...and it worries me that someone with the knowledge and professional experience of EF agrees with me.

Yesterday I turned on the radio and there was a Chris Brown song on followed by the DJ saying that his career is over. Today on my way to and from school, they played at least 5 different Chris Brown songs. They were playing his hits from awhile ago. Just thought it was funny that a radio station that was saying his career was over was playing old songs of his.

If this apparent rumor turns out to be true - and I've been busy today so the sum total of what I know about that is contained in this thread - his career will be fine, at least insofar as the audience is concerned. No idea what role she or her people or whatever played in his career, I can't honestly say I'd ever heard the guy's name until the Grammys.

Probation and community service for him. Might as well have brought him some fresh baked cupcakes and hired a massage therapist for him during the court appearance.

Seriously? I couldn't have answered a Dead or Alive question on him, much less knew he had a career again.

Because our younger generations have been indoctrinated into celebrity culture and doesn't seem to have a grasp on this shit. My girlfriend's sister was out to dinner with us the other day (she is 20) and talking about how everyone should just leave Lindsey Lohan alone. I wanted to cry.

No other singles were out that week? Even as much as I can't stand mainstream pop radio, that comes across as a filler song versus a #1 hit.

These days, the songs don't matter as much as who you are featuring, it appears. From my casual review of the top 10 every so often, it appears the way to have a hit single now is just team up with some other big name and do a couple of songs where each of you is the main artist releasing the song.

I agree. Lady Gaga could record herself taking a shit and it would be at the top of the charts.

The single, incidentally, also to be titled "Deuces"...

So I'm reading junk press.

Rihanna set to go public about Chris Brown, Jay-Z gives him stern warning first - Springfield pop music | Examiner.com

Rihanna is busy finishing up work on her latest album “Unapologetic” right now, but as soon as she wraps that up and the album is released, she plans to go public with her reconciliation with Chris Brown.

I love how the entire thread was people making light of the situation by shoehorning in every bad joke they could until Noops post. Then it gets real.

I have never heard a song by either of them and may never have heard of them if not for this.

The Family Guy joke was great.
