Sunday, September 5th, 2049:Hit Parade: Medina Gets Cycle
It was a special day for António Medina at Ballpark of Napa Valley. Not only did Winemakers beat the Baltimore Charm 8-3, but the Napa Valley third baseman hit for the cycle, too. The 26-year-old Medina racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name mentioned in the record book. For the game he was 4-4 with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored.

In the words of the Baltimore manager, "He hit everything we threw. There was just no getting him out today."
Speaking to the press after the game, Medina said, "First pitch fastballs, that's what I was looking for today... I got some good looks."

A. Medina tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off P. Cennini in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

To date Medina has chalked up a .267 average with 24 home runs, driven in 76 runs and scored 74 times.

Monday, October 11th, 2049: Okamoto Gets Number 3000
With one swing of the bat, Hitomaro Okamoto put his name in the league record books yesterday at New York Grounds. It was his 3000th career hit, putting him in a select group of players.

In spite of Hitomaro Okamoto's achievement, his New York Heroes went down to defeat to the Hammersmith Hooligans, 2-1.

On his milestone day, the 34-year-old right fielder registered 2 hits in 4 at-bats.

Over his 2264-game career Okamoto has compiled a .325 batting average and collected 3000 hits, 577 home runs and 1808 RBIs.

For his 1950-game career Villa has hit .330 with 2500 hits, 1069 RBIs and 150 home runs.

What a great career he is having!

I really think to this point in FOOL history (or at the very least since the restart), there has only been one pitcher with this kind of dominance, and that, of course, was Quero.

Obviously, it's no stretch to suggest that Holmes will win the RL Prado again. Presuming he does, that will be the fifth in six seasons--and he just turned 28.

My challenge will be keeping the team around him competitive.

Congrats to all the playoff teams. Told ya the Hooligans wouldn't be there this year.
