and for any other owners than need roster voodoo, ESPN now gives the commissioner full roster control, so if I screwed something up, I can fix it pretty easily.

You dropped several guys off of my roster who had a bunch of MLB time. I'd probably drop them anyways, but none of the guys were really prospects. Eric Young had 200+MLB AB's for instance. JD Martin has thrown 125 big league innings.

Okay. So all the corner players are drafted and I can't pick up any from FA. Do I just not get to play 3 or 4 guys all year? I'm pretty excited if that's the case. Maybe we drafted a few too many players if that is the case? I understand I can trade if I want to get 20 cents on the dollar.

There's a couple part time catchers, you could grab one and slide Posey over to 1B to fill one of the spots.

Also, go to free agents and click the AB column, you can get some guys who will get some at bats, though I don't think there are any regulars in free agency.

We should iron out minor league rules as quick as possible.

Just spitballin some ideas. I am drunk so grain of salt and all that.
1. 5 Man Minor League draft. Only players in the minors. 2. No addition or subtraction from minor league rosters after the minor league draft, only promotion. 3. Prior to the 2012 regular draft each team can announce promotion or release of any of their minor leaguers. Players promoted at this point or who were promoted after August 1st of the previous season are exempt from keeper rules for 1 season. 4. If a player is called up from the minor league roster before August 1st of the previous season and the owner wishes to use a keeper spot on him the draft pick lost will correlate to ESPN's player rater. Ie, if the player was rated 60th overall that becomes a 5th round pick lost. 5. If a player was traded from your team to the AL during the offseason or last season you can use one of your keeper spots and get a compensatory draft pick for him. Ie, you drafted Cliff Lee in round 2 and he gets traded to Kansas City, you can use one of your 6 keeper spots, keep nobody, but get a 1st round pick in the regular draft. |

Just seems to me there should be some sort of compensation for losing a stud. But again, i'm just throwing ideas out there.

He was doing it based on their current status, regardless of how much previous major league experience they have had - only players currently on major league rosters are eligible for our rosters. Both Young and Martin are currently in the minors (in AAA) |

Are we allowing in-season promotion from the minor league roster (as long as we have an open spot on our roster, of course)?

And yeah, I don't really like #5 either - sure, it sucks to lose a stud like that, but I'd say tough luck. Not much you can do (at least you'd keep that pick and not have to keep him? heh)

You get to use him for the rest of the season, so it's not losing much. We only keep 6 players, so losing a player or two to trade is not a big deal in regards to keepers.

I don't like how they were able to be auto drafted by the AI then. I think it took Young in the 18th round maybe. |

Just sucks that ESPN couldn't remove them from their system (or at least move them down) once they got designated for assignment.

Yeah, but any pre-draft ranking has issues. I think in a league that goes so deep, it's important to be there for every pick.

It's been too quiet. How do people feel about their teams? I know I wasn't quite prepared for the difference going from 10 to 12 teams would make but I'm excited for the challenge.

I'm unhappy with the lack of corner players available.

Well Miranda will be 1b eligible soon and then barmes comes back and you've got a solid starting lineup. Everyone is living with having to do some maneuvering the first couple of weeks.

I'm not finding anything in our league section but i'm positive he'll be 1b eligible at some point soon. Probably 10 starts or 15 appearances, something like that.
