I updated the second post with the draft time and rules.

I kept the three hour clock. Also I made the first day of the draft March 3, which gives us 28 days to get this thing done.

If people think any of this should be changed, now's the time to have the discussion.

Once we finalize the draft time, then we will set up the order for the draft.

Apparently the season starts a bit earlier than I realized.

Per yahoo:

G'day mate! Don't forget that the Major League Baseball season opens on Saturday, March 22, with the Dodgers and Diamondbacks playing a two-game series in Australia.

As a result, Yahoo Sports has combined those two games with Fantasy Week 1 that begins with the Dodgers-Padres game on Sunday, March 30.

Week 1 of the Fantasy Baseball Head-to-Head season will run from March 22-April 6.

Important: Head-to-Head leagues that draft after 12:01am PDT on Sunday, March 30, will not begin scoring until Fantasy Week 2. It is not possible to incorporate Week 1 scoring if your league drafts on March 30 or later.

Lets get this thing started. Danny still hasnt joined the yahoo league. I will give him until Thursday to join. If he doesn't joint then cubboyroy gets first shot.

Everyone should begin picking numbers for me to enter in the random number generator. Hopefully we get everything set for a soft start for the weekend and we begin the draft with the time limits on Monday.

We can do a soft start whenever packerfanatic is ready (no pressure or anything ) But lets at least try to get things going by the weekend with actual time limits being enforced on monday.

Try to make your picks in this format

1.1 your fantasy team name (only necesasry for the first round)Frank Thomas 1B Chi

Here is a refresher on the time rules listed on the first post:

The first pick each morning must be made by 10 am eastern time. Then the three hour clock will start for the next pick. Also, lets make the cutoff 10 pm eastern at night so if the final pick is made at 8 pm, the next person has until 10 am eastern time to make his pick. If most people in this league live in the western time zone or central time zone we could adjust this

On weekends the first pick must be made by 2 pm eastern time, we'll *go with a standard 3 hours with a 10 pm eastern time cut off.

If there are problems in that you know your pick is coming up but you won't be online, submit a list either to myself or to a proxy drafter for you. Otherwise, you will get the next player on Yahoo's list. Maybe pick someone who is on the opposite end of the draft from you so that you likely won't be grabbing from the same pool of players anyways.

Right there with you BrownsFan. About the only teams I know much about are the White Sox and Cubs who between the two do not have a whole lot of draftable talent for this year. All this really means I should do well right?
